Luvleis are crawling on my nerves...

I am trying to find someone _reasonable_ to trade with for a Luvlei. Please help!
People just want the craziest things like Tines, Foos, Onnies or asteroid eggs. I have a Balrogi, Rhine, Olimpt, Chiye, Halldrag and other rare ones to offer, but no one seems to want them. They just want friggin' ONNIES! It's not realistic to want an Onny for every new CC egg! I'm going mad! Seriously. @__@;

Ive been asking for Gobblers, but thats in exchange for 2-3 CC creatures, which I feel is fair. 😋

I hate the over asking so much, especially when its cave creatures. I mean, just because CRW creatures are retired doesnt make them as rare as an Onny, Doovoo, or Macbot.

@zac I completely agree with you. Heck, I even made a topic about it. It's killing me because everyone of those n00bs doesn't know what is fair or not so I can't offer on anything unless its for an Onny, Doovoo, or Macbot. It's like, UM, NO! I'm not going to give you any of those for an egg that is STILL avaliable! SERIOUSLY! >__<

Something that makes me upset is when people sneak around my cove and then ask for my Macbot, Onny or Doovoo when it's clear that I only have one of each and I've written on my profile that I won't trade anything I only have one of. I mean... How rude can you get? :/

@silverserpent AAAAAARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I searched for luvleis in the TC to see your dilemma firsthandedly, and this one user, who i will not name, but is pretty well known because of an incident involving ian and side accounts... hint hint cough cough... yes, anyway, this user was asking for this: Tine and mo or tine and gobbler or 3 gobblers...... FOR A LUVLEI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<br />
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a gobbler should be worht more than a luvlei because it's a extinct CSP creature, and I'm not even gonna start on tines and mos, but instead, this user is asking for 3 gobblers!!!!!!!!!! i am SOOOOOO annoyed at people at the TC right now.

oh, and to top it off, in the users profile, it says that her luvlei is not UFT WHAT IS IT DOING IN THE TC THEN!?&gt;!?!??!?!??!?!??!

another thing that irks me is when someone has a feed list and it is almost their entire cove. i was feeding back, and this person had a list that had a bout 40 creatures, and they had 45 creatures in their cove. GAH.

I think its unfair how users have no CC and the users who do ask alot for it! It doesn't mean we get to offer tonnes for a CC thats still available! and its only $5! Which I can simply get

*agrres with all the ranting* its the same here i went to see about looking into both of them and actually offered many rares on a few lots and i do mean rares i even offered my tine in one of them {never will do such a thing again} and still all my offers were rejected because none of them had any onny's or gobbler's in them >☹️ seriously these pwople are better off just keeping these creatures........

On the other hand, I have also come across owners of Onny and Tine who ask for things like 6-8 CC eggs for 1 Onny/Tine.

The best solution to this is to compromise. Right now, the Onny/Tine market is centered around mostly a group of very active traders who ask for things that the new people whom many of you rudely dismiss as "n00bs" cannot even get a crack at because you guys ask for "fair" trades like 8 CCs!

So some n00bs finally managed to persuade Mom or Dad to get them some money to buy a Luvlei so that they can have a chance at a Tine or an Onny. And then, no, the value is set even higher, because a "fair" trade requires the poor n00b to spend another 50 bucks just to make someone who has already 6 Onny in his/her cove happy.

Can you honestly blame the n00bs for refusing to compromise when the Onny/Tine traders also refuse to do the same?

Again i also agree with this but at the same time ill say right now ive never been one to like trades nor would i ever trade my tine or cetain others in my cove they just mean to much to me to trade and i think by now many people know that as not many ask to trade any of my rares unlike other people who do have more then one. Now i understand some one even having 2 of each creature but when some one has more then even three i would think they could consider maybe putting it in the trade centre, but also its not to good when no one describes what exactly they want for such eggs and what not.

Arg Tine/onny are worth tonens more! Just because the lovlei and Valgrun look ultra pretty doesn't mean they've rarest of all!

You can feel that way, but you can't force others to believe that too. Unless there is an official agreement on the exact value of every rare egg in EC, there will always be people who think that you are over/underoffering.

That's the point I'm trying to make. Compromises. If you want a Lovlei THAT badly, and if you have an Onny to spare, then what's wrong in making that trade?

If you want a Lovlei and yet everyone else is asking for an Onny, then you just have to wait until someone else is willing to settle for your terms. Complaining about them not wanting to and calling them noobs only make you look like self-entitled elitists.

@mrsgiggles What bothers me is when I offer a Rhine, a Balrogi and a cash Chiye (1750 in cave cash) and I still can't trade myself even a single 500 CC egg! I had troubles around Christmas as well and those eggs were only 250 CC and people asked for Onnies and Macbots.
That just kills the whole idea of the trade center for me.

People can't just ask for the rarest of rare creatures as soon as a new CC egg shows up because there aren't that many Onnies, Doovoos and Macbots around anymore and soon I doubt anyone will be willing to trade theirs when they've finally got one in their cove.
The Macbot, for example, is megarare and if you only have one it's likely you want to keep it.
One new CC egg can't be worth one of the most rare creatures on Egg Cave. It's pretty obvious.

And to be fair towards the so called "n00bs". It's not only new members that do this. Old ones do it too. Greed is gaining territory in the trade center and I think it's sad.

@silverserpent I agree with you but you also need to remember that people trading eggs will only do so to their advantage. I myself usually don't trade to "break even" but trade to get a better deal. This is what most traders are doing, and even if they are trying to attract unrealistic offers, we can't really condemn them for it.

There's also the factor of "want." Its true that you're offering 1250-1750 CC, but most traders are not interested in the rhindorf or balrogipuwet mainly because they are always available.

@mrsgiggles I also think that the concept of creature rarity is extremely objective. If you really want an Luvlei, there is no shame in trading an Onny because thats a good trade for you. 😊

Ok so back to luvleis...
Yeah, most of the luvleis i saw in the tc said. "For an Onny". I mean, who'd trade their onn y for a CSP pet that just retired YESTERDAY?!?!?! It's insane. Well, do you think someone might trade their luvlei for a Mummar with an original name? (aka Mummar) I'm DYING to get rid of that thing. 😱 Too many spooky mummars in my cove. Faitful is enough to look after. xD

@mrsgiggles i dont think that 6-8 cc eggs are worth an onny or tine, but i also dont think that a tine for a luvlei is fair. i agree with you that if you really want a luvlei, then you should trade what ever you can for it, but in order to attract more peole with offers- and more offers means more choices and a higher chance to get a good deal- you shouldn't be asking for something outrageous like the two scenarios above.

@redfire77 Actually I'm not sure a Tine for a Luvlei is that outrageous. i've received quite a few of those trades. If you think about it: 2 Vday creatures, one a year older than the other, and the other is CSP rather than cave. It balances out, its just a matter of personal preference.

@zac The CC value does matter when you trade CC creatures for other CC creatures when they are available. At least to me it does.
Now the V-day creatures are extinct and their value will start to climb, but while they were still in the cash shop I don't think they were worth anything more than their CC price. Meaning that a Rhine for a Luvlei is actually a pretty good deal. If you want a Rhine you can buy a cheaper egg and trade for a more expensive one. Makes sense, but I seem to be pretty alone to reason that way. 😋

@silverserpent I didn't mean to say that the CC value doesn't matter. I meant that to most users, the CC value is less important than getting the creatures that they actually would like. Since most people aren't looking for rhinedorfs, it makes sense that they wouldn't want to trade for them.

I'm not saying its right, but its what happens, unfortunately. 😋

@zac, yeah you make a good point. i guess im biast because i prefer tines to luvleis. (might not be able to say that about valgruns). also o me whether its cc or not doesn't really matter at the moment because the 2011 valentines creatures just went extinct yesterday.

they could have got a luvlei or valgrun at the csp instead of trading... unless they didn't have cc. then i guess it makes sense to trade a tine for a luvlei _now_ instead of a year from now because the value of luvleis will have gone up.
