What does it mean when a pet is frozen?

I have seen this while feeding peoples creatures. So, what does it mean?

It means the creature can't evolve to the next stage. So it will stay the stage that it is frozen at. Like if it is in egg stage and frozen then it won't evolve to the 1st stage. 😸
