Salty Waves- A mermaid RP

Hello.

INTRODUCTION

'If you please, come join us,'

It's modern day and there's a such thing as were-mermaids if you would like to call them that. Well, we're just hoinb to call them The Mermaids.

The sea is going to be destroyed just because of a recent discovery that some of the worlds finest oil is found deep under ther. It is up to The Mermaids to save it.

RULES

'And help in the fight to save the sea.'

-Your character can be a girl or a boy.
-If your character goes knee deep in water you will morph into a mermaid.

Name: Claire
Age: 17
Looks: dark brown that fades to dirty blonde. Has green eyes with glints of blue. Always wears a yellow sundress with pink sandals in human form.
Mermaid looks: instead of being partially dirty blonde all of her hair is. Her eyes are all blue with glints of green. Wears a yellow bikini top with a pink scaled tail when light hits her scales they turn red.
Personality: will protect her home,friends and family(ocean and land). She is a kind and caring person but can get angry at tiny things.
Bio: found out she was a mermaid at age 9. When she tried to tell her parents they just laughed and called her a crazy little girl. She ran away from home at age 15 and now lives with her grandma. She likes Oz, in the water and out.

Mermaid looks:Neon blue bikini with a emerald tail that turns blue in the light.
Personality: she is shy but bery popular and loves to draw and read.
Bio: Her mother was a mermaid also but she died when Auburn was six. Her father was rich and spoiled her but, when she first changed, at age nine. Her dad kicked her out of the house and told her to go get alife and quit making stupid stories up. Auburn walked down the road to her aunts house and has lived with her since.

merman looks: bare chest with shark tooth necklace. His tail is gray but turns blue in light.
Personality: sporty and athletic but does not play sports because is afraid others will find out about his secret.Him and auburn are both homeschooled.he likes june.
bio: he first turned when he was three. His mother is also a mermaid so she understood. Him and Auburn are cousins and his mother understood when Auburn came running away from her father. 😸

Personality: Glaice is really kind and never shy. She always meets new people and try new things. She loves to play volleyball at the beach with friends, or just bopping the ball up herself. When she's in the water, Glaice likes to swim through and around the plants that grow to the ocean floor.


Bio: Glaice's mother is an average mermaid and her father is an average human. They decide to keep her as a human an tell her about her mermaid side of her at the age 16. Glaice was never to be at the beach or so close to water ever since she could walk. Glaice never understood why. One day, she went out to the beach when her father was at work. She dove into the water an found she was able to breath underwater. She then found the mermaid world and her mother. Glaice then found out about her mermaid self and every now and then comes to visit her mother underwater.

Personality: Super sweet and is not afraid to "stand out". Vera is very outgoing and loyal to those she knows. She loves sports and is very competitive. Vera will always accept being adventurous and do the daring. In the water, Vera enjoys having a race and likes to zip through and around ocean plants, fish, and more.

Bio: Ever since she was a little girl, she was forbidden to go anywhere near water. Her mother and father, who were both humans, knew about Vera's mermaid secret. But one day when Vera's parents went out to run some errands, she plunged into the water. Vera soon found that she could breath under water and then found the mermaid world. That day, Vera found out about her mermaid self. And since her parents treat her so poorly, she planned to run away and live in the mermaid world.
(hint: Vera's parents hate mermaids, thus treating her poorly)

Looks: She has strawberry blonde hair that falls to her elbows, big gray eyes and likes to wear a navy blue Aeropostale t-shirt and black skinny jeans. Wears a dolphin locket.
Mermaid looks: Underwater, June's hair reaches to her waist, and one eye is green and the other is a silvery gray. Her tail is a light violet, and her bikini top is the same color as her favorite shirt - navy blue. The dolphin is now tattooed to her chest.
Personality: The prankster of the sea. June may be pretty, and that's what might make you think she's a proper little lady that does what she's told. That is certainly not the case! June pulls pranks on people, especially people she is close to. June does have a calm side, however, you just need to dig down deep to find it.
Bio: June was born to a well-known artist, her human mother, and her father, a merchant, was a merman. Her parents would meet at the beach everyday to see each other. Her father gave up being a merman so that he could always be with his girlfriend. June was raised on that beach, knowing she had the power to become a mermaid. Has a twin brother VV

Name: Oswald (Oz)
Looks: Oz has neatly groomed dirty blonde hair, that looks brown in some lightings. His eyes are also gray, but more of a bluegray color. He likes to wear an orange t-shirt and blue jeans. Oz wears a whale locket, but usually hides it under his shirt. He also wears glasses.
Mermaid looks: Underwater, his eyes are pure blue. Bare chest, with an orange tail. The whale is now tattooed onto his chest. He doesn't wear glasses anymore.
Personality: The smart sibling, Oz is the lunar opposite of his twin. He's very curious, and likes to swim around to look at the plants. Everybody thinks he's the oldest, as he acts like the oldest, but June is actually older by two hours. In arguements, Oz always wins, even if the other person is right.
Bio: See June's. Best friends with Jackson?

Auburn sat at the edge of the ocean, closng her eyes and letting the water wash her sandy feet. Jackson came up and sat next to her. He handed her a glass of lemonade. "Mom wanted us to have plenty of fluids, so we dont get dehydrated." Jacson said. "Whatever." Auburn replied. She took the glass and drank a couple sips."Hey look!" Auburn said.Jackson turned and looked. There was a silver crab scuttling towards them. He petted the creature with his finger, not wanting to hurt it. The crab opened its little mouth, and said in the language of the sea,"the sea needs you" in his tiny voice.The tide swept up and the crab washed away.

Vera couldn't take it anymore, she had had to run away. Tonight, she decided, would be it. *at midnight* Vera slowly opened the window and jumped out. Being careful not to make a sound. She didn't take anything with her since she was so desperate to leave. Once she felt like she was a good distance from her house, she sprinted with joy to where the ocean meets the land. Vera dove into the cool water, letting the gentle waves relax her. But then, she her a shriek and then a splash. She turned her head and saw Glaice, her BFF/neighbor, and Glaice's mother in the ocean. Vera went underneath the water and swam towards them.

June and Oz sat under the shade of their house, drinking Coke. June's long hair swayed in the soft ocean breeze. "Hey, Oz, wanna go for a swim?" June said with a twinkle in her eye, and gave him a cheeky grin.

"Ah, why not? I'm sure Auburn and Jackson will be there." Oz said, thinking about his best friend and his cousin. He fiddled with his little whale locket, a picture of his twin inside.

The twins stood up, left the Coke cans under the porch, and ran into the hot sand, into the great Atlantic? Ocean.

Claire had just woken up. The sun shining in through the window. "Finally its morning" Claire said as she jumped out of her bed. She went through all her drawers looking for her yellow sundress. Then she put on her pink sandals and went in the bathroom. Claire brushed her hair and teeth. Then she went downstairs. "Hello darling" Claire's grandma said. "Hey grams is it okay if i skip breakfast and go for a swim." Claire asked. "Sure honey just remember no staying out late. Okay?" Grams said. "Thanks Grams and you know i won't unless its important" Claire said as she gave her grandma a kiss on the cheek. Claire then bolted out the door and ran towards the beach.The beach had been calling her since she left last night. When she was at the shore, she looked around to see if anyone was looking then dove into the water.

Jackson and Auburn swam through the gates of the city. Auburn immeaditly went to see the seahorses at the stables and Jackson went to the Zoo to see the new baby Lionfish.

The two swam until their arms couldn't take it any longer. The steady splash of their tails. The even turn of their arms. They had obviously been doing this for a long, long time. Reaching the towering city of Mermaid City.

"Wow! It's so--" June began, not looking where she was going, and tumble crashed into Jackson.

Claire swam towards the city gates. When she was close to the gates she saw Jackson and Auburn.Then she saw Oz and June. She saw Auburn swim towards the stables and Jackson swim towards the zoo and she saw June bump into Jackson. "ouch" Claire said to herself. Then she stopped to think. 'Should I go check on Jackson or Follow Auburn' Claire thought. She thought following Auburn was safest and plus it was the stables,she loved the stables. When Claire was close enough to Auburn she said "Hello Auburn". Then she swam towards a blue/grey seahorse with yellow fins and stormy blue eyes. "Hey Stormy" Claire said as she stroked the seahorse. "Oh Auburn which seahorse is your favorite? Mine is Stormy." Claire said as she turned to face Auburn.

Glaice sees Vera and focuses on her mom and screams "MOM!!! NEVER POP UP ON ME" Her mother replys "Sorry sweetie, but I really need you down at Mermaid City." Glaice's mother swims down and to Mermaid City with Glaice and Vera trailing behind. They swam near the horse stables and saw Claire, June, Oz, Auburn, and Jackson.

"My favorite is Midsummer."

I pointed to the seahorse with the yellow eyes and red and orange body. I petted him and then gave him antreat.

Jackson.

"Oh its okay! I was just looking at the new baby lionfish. *the baby lionfish yawns and falls asleep next to its mother* "Isn't it so cute!" He said. He sighed and looked at the lionfish. He turned to June and glanced at her. June caught him looking at her, so looked away and blushed.

Glaice stops and ask her mother "Hey mom, can i see the seahorses? Pleaseeeeee?!?!" Her mother turns around and says "Fine, but don't take to long. What I needed to show you was very important." Glaice's mother swims away and Glaice and Vera swim to the seahorse stables.

June tilted her head, a small smile on her face. She watched the baby lionfish. "Yeah, that is pretty cute!" June's mismatched eyes glistened through the sunshafts.

"Ah, maybe when there's not so many people we could go see the starfish!"
