I don't know about you, but I'd like to keep my trades recorded, just in case anything, so I'm suggesting a trade log. So instead of thinking back to what you traded, you can just refer to a log that tells you it all.
crooton1 • 7 August 2011 at 5:00 PM
@FrostyYes. We need this. BADLY. A lot of newbies get ripped off from their Mos, (like me) and I'd love to track them down! ^^;
swymr_krys • 7 August 2011 at 5:01 PM
Hmmm....it's an interesting idea for sure, but does it really matter? I'm sorry, but I'm just trying to think of a reason this would be practical beyond, "Traded so-and-so for so-and-so on this date."@crooton1 That only works if the newbies know they're getting ripped off.
crooton1 • 7 August 2011 at 5:04 PM
@Swymr_krysBut later, after they find out the value and how they were ripped off, they can track them down. :/
trish • 7 August 2011 at 5:04 PM
Many of us were once ripped off. -.- I'd like to know. xP@swymr_krys If you were ever here a long time ago like the rest of us, then you'd actually know what I'm talking about. I traded a Tine for a Terron. Period.
sotheavey • 7 August 2011 at 5:04 PM
It would be a great way for people that quit but still hang around to keep track of their past eggs. They could get to see how their egg is (because some people changes the names -____-)
swymr_krys • 7 August 2011 at 5:06 PM
@trish Check out the account I gave to my brother...christened_moon and then think before you speak. The fact of the matter is, once you're ripped off, you're ripped off. Harrassing other people for ripping newbies off makes you just as bad as them.On the other hand, @sotheavey has made a good point that's not about getting even, which is what eggcave seems to have turned into.
trish • 7 August 2011 at 5:07 PM
And make eggs in the Trade Log clickable too. o. e Some people trade it even further. And ugh, for those who cheated, it would permanently be in your record and Ian can find out easier. OwORipped off = Getting it even. If you don't get it even then your ripped off, duh? o. e
dragon_lvr_4_life • 7 August 2011 at 5:07 PM
I think it would be efficient to have a list of users to whom the creature belonged on the creature's profile. So if it's stolen from a side account only with the purpose to get the egg, everybody will see that. 😋
cafe • 7 August 2011 at 5:10 PM
I like this. It would also help if, say I traded someone my tine and made them promise to tell me whom it went to, but they quit and trade the Tine away I can still see where it's at.

@swymr_krys: Stop TROLLING! Don't come here just to talk negative. :|
dionaea • 8 August 2011 at 7:50 AM
@frosty Swymr_krys isn't trolling, having an opinion of your own is allowed, even if it's doesn't agree with everyone else...I do think this is a very good idea, I'd like to keep track of my pets & I do think it would be better to have a record so people who rip others off regularly can be reprimanded. I don't mean starting a witch hunt & go flaming, but just saying it's wrong & mean. Period.Though the best thing to prevent ripoffs is talk to newbies & warn them, tell them they can ask you for advice...

@frosty @dionaeaI think this is a good idea! 😋 Maybe @missedcritters is able to check if people are adhering to their promises of keeping their creatures instead of trading them away. Also, I adopted some creatures from users I didn't know and I'd like to know who they are! 😋
redfire77 • 8 August 2011 at 10:18 AM
@frosty this is a good idea, but it isn't about getting even.
balletninja • 8 August 2011 at 10:20 AM
@dionea he/she was trolling, not constructive.
zebra101 • 8 August 2011 at 10:27 AM
yes @ian @ian @ian @ian @ian please we need this because i like to check in on my eggies 😃 and see how they are doing and i always forget who i traded them to 😃
swymr_krys • 8 August 2011 at 1:29 PM
@frosty @balletninjaI do hope you know what the definition of trolling is, but if not, here ya go:a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. My OPINION was part of discussion, not trolling and was not to incite any other topic-discussion.Please, use your head.
cafe • 8 August 2011 at 1:30 PM
She's not trolling o_o She was posting her opinion.
frosty • 8 August 2011 at 7:05 PM
I'm not asking for your negative opinions, I'm asking for people who support my idea. And if you don't like the idea, oh well, it's not it's something that's going to affect you like the way a creature looks or anything, so if you don't like the idea, just ignore it and leave your comments to yourselves, instead of bringing it down and lowering the chances of something being made. After this I ONLY ask for SUPPORTERS and this conversation to die!
dreamer • 8 August 2011 at 7:07 PM
I don't really wanna get into what's going o right now, but I just needa say... *pushes Support Button*
crunchyoreo25 • 8 August 2011 at 7:08 PM
I really like this idea. 😊
candy_girl_1298 • 8 August 2011 at 9:46 PM
i like this idea so i know what i traded, like today i have no clue where my extra turtux went, and i dont remember who i traded it to.this wouldnt be for getting evein. i dont know who the heck thought of that.
ladybugheart • 8 August 2011 at 10:06 PM
I like this idea. I do know of some people who found eggs on their account that they didn't remember getting. This might be able to clear some confusion. 😊 Let's say it was because somebody had hacked their account; this would help find out who the hacker was. Of course, there are other uses, I just can't think of any right now. 😉By the way, I don't think @Swymr_krys was trolling. She wasn't purposely trying to upset anyone. People are allowed to have different opinions about things, and there is nothing wrong about sharing what you think as long as you are respectful about it. It's good to receive negative opinions as well as positive ones to ensure that the idea will work. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with what this person said, I am only saying that they are not trolling. I'd also like to point out that they had done nothing wrong by disagreeing with this idea. Again, I am not saying whether or not anything else they had said or done was right or wrong. So please, hear me out. That being said, I agree with this idea completely. ^^
chibiloki88 • 9 August 2011 at 2:56 AM
wow...first of all, im really offended that this site is becoming so one-sided. if you dont agree with the majority, youre now trolling or attacking people and you arent allowed to speak. thats just wrong.second, i do disagree. i think that could be neat. but i think that its only real purpose would be to harass people about your eggs that you traded away. its wrong for people to take advantage of other people, especially when theyre new, and i make a point of not doing that, but that cannot be changed. furthermore, it could be that the individual did not realize that they were cheating you. they dont deserve "revenge" necessarily. and the only use for this device, from what im seeing, is to harass people, which seems very...not the point of eggcave. thats my opinion. please let me know if im not understanding 😊
ladybugheart • 9 August 2011 at 3:04 AM
@chibiloki88 I know many people have posted about tracking people down who have ripped you off, and I completely agree that people shouldn't harass others about trades. However, I don't believe that's what the original idea was intended for. Some other purposes include finding people who cheat off sides, finding out where an unfamiliar egg came from, or just being organized. ^-^
chibiloki88 • 9 August 2011 at 3:07 AM
@ladybugheart i get that, but i dont see how that helps anything or varies from harassing. its not cheating, technically, to accept an unfair trade. it would be wrong to make it that, since, for example, my friend gave me a present in exchange for an egg i didnt want and vice versa. it could be neat to track eggs, but it could be kind of creepy for the person receiving it, especially if theyre new or something. i dont know. it could be a neat way of being organized (and i like organized), but im seeing too much potential for abuse on a site that is becoming increasingly hostile. im not enjoying that development, i admit 😋
ladybugheart • 9 August 2011 at 3:12 AM
@chibiloki88 Yeah, I completely agree that accepting an unfair trade isn't cheating, or scamming, or whatever. 😋 Some people steal eggs from their sides, though, and send them to their main account. This could help catch them. ^^ There were a lot of people who cheated when the Roasens and Flarens were released. 😱
chibiloki88 • 9 August 2011 at 3:14 AM
@ladybugheart thats true. and youre absolutely right. its amazing how many new accounts pop up when a new creatures released. so theres that. and only the admins could see other peoples trade logs i assume. 😊
