Oshaif looked above him and saw another bird. Another survivor! he though with a smile. "Hello!" he screeched from below, hoping that the bird would hear him. He looked down at the ruined forest. There wasn't anywhere to land yet. He hovered in the place he was, waiting for a response from the bird.

Her wings felt tired; she needed somewhere to land desperately. The large bird blinked when she heard another bird's loud screech. Libero lowered so that she was now sort of flying alongside what she recognized as a hawk. "I'm Libero." She introduced herself, even if it was a rather odd place to be doing so.

Oshaif nodded. "Nice to meet you" He veered to the left. "I'm Oshaif" He said, looking at the buzzard. A buzzard?! he thought. He shook his head. And looked forward. "Look!" he then screeched happily. There was a small clump of trees where the earthquake hadn't struck. He swooped down and landed on one.

She looked at Oshaif for a moment, thinking about how odd his name sounded. Did it even have a meaning to it? Libero shrugged it off, inwardly, and let out an incoherent sound of joy when she saw the clump of trees Oshaif had landed on. Libero glided down after him, landing on a branch above him.

Oshaif sighed and smiled. He was glad that they had found a place to stay. He was tired. But there was no time to sleep! The trees could fall as they were sleeping! He groaned inwardly.

Evalon lands on another tree. "Lucky for these" she says as she points her beak towards the tree.

Melody follows and lands in relif. She looks at the buzzard and introduced herself "Hi, I'm Melody and who may you be"

Oshaif nodded. He looked below and was glad to see that the ground wasn't shaking. He watched as Melody landed and sighed. The group was all here and he could relax a bit.

Libero watched as two more birds landed around her. She nodded at the one who'd introduced herself as Melody. "Nice to meet you. I'm Libero." She replied, introducing herself back. Her talons gripped the tree, as if afraid she would fall, but the rest of her was relaxed. Happy that they were safe ... for now.

What type of bird/appearance: Akri is a common light gray Harpy Eagle that had been released into the wild after having being shot in the wing. Akri seems somewhat lighter then a normal Harpy Eagle.

Akri silently perched on a branch of a tall sturdy tree in the jungle. Her stomach growled in hunger, Akri hadn't eaten in days after she was released. It seemed that she had grown weak and forgot how to hunt. She looked deprestly in the sky for any birds that she could see. Akri sighed and started sobbing. Why did she have to be shot in a wing? She stared at her wing, then remembering how she was saved by humans. Without their help, she would've died from the blood loss of the wound. Akri then continued to search the sky.

Oshaif blinked. Was that a bird he saw? He took off from the tree and screeched. "Hello?" He blinked and as he drew closer he saw that it was a bird. I bird in bad shape... "Do you need any help?" he asked. "Follow me" the hawk slowly glided down to the trees, making sure that the female eagle was following.

Akri blinked when she saw a hawk in the air. She nodded when the hawk had asked if she needed help.
"Well, i'll explain when i'm done following you," she said quietly.
Her parents had warned her about strangers, hawk strangers especially. Akri's generation of Harpies disliked hawks, but maybe this one was okay. She then lifted up in the air, letting her fixed wing rest if it needed to. Akri then followed the male.

Oshaif looked at the injured eagle. "My name's Oshaif by the way." He said, his gaze still fixed on the trees. He hovered a bit before landing on the tree he had been resting on before. He stared at the eagle, waiting for her to land.

Akri landed, a bit shaky with her wing being just fixed.
"Well," she said slowly, "I was shot in the right wing, I was found on the ground by some humans who then took care of me and fixed my wing." Akri lifted her right wing to show the hark and then continued, "I was released a few hours ago, and I am hungry and not sure exactly how to hunt, for I was shot when I was a little eagle about to be able to fly."

Oshaif watched the eagle land and listened to her story. "I understand. And don't worry about the hunting, I can teach you." The hawk looked at the eagle and smiled. "There are others here too." He gestured to the other birds with his claws. "I'm going to go hunting, I'll bring something back for you. Why don't you get to know them?" Oshaif blinked once, then took off into the trees to see if there were any surviving prey.

The buzzard watched as Oshaif suddenly took off, bringing back a Harpy eagle with him. She blinked, looking at the new arrival, as Oshaif took off to hunt for her. "Hello." Libero greeted her, and blinked. "I'm Libero." The female continued, introducing herself to the other bird.

Melody flies and lands on a branch closer to this harpy eagal. "Hi, I'm Melody. I over heard your story and I also completely understand. I can't actually help you on flying since I'm a humming bird and I flap a little to fast" Melody says to the harpy eagal.

Akri nodded in thanks and smiled. She then turned to the other birds.
"'Ello," she said, "my name is Akri."
Akri then observed the other birds. She chuckled as the hummingbird remarked that she flapped too fast. She then let her wing rest aginst her side and waited patiently, still observing the other birds.

Oshaif looked down and smiled in relief as he saw a rabbit. It was skinny, but still food. He swooped down quietly and scooped it up before it could hoop away. He killed it quickly, then spotted a crack in the earth. Uh oh... he thought. He flew away quickly. The crack was little, but he still had to warn the others. He looked down at the rabbit, that was still twitching a bit. He sighed, but carried on towards the trees. He landed next to Akri and balanced the rabbit on the branch.

"I saw a crack in the ground..." He then said to all the birds that were there.

Akri snatched the rabbit with her strong talons and waited for Oshaif to finish his sentence.
"Well..." she said slowly as she began to eat the rabbit in deep hunger, "It could be a start of an earthquake. My mom talked about it once with my dad."
Akri then continued to concentrate on eating the rabbit.

Oshaif nodded. "That's what I'm worried about. I don't know how far the next patch of stable ground will be, and we need to get some sleep in order to find a permanent home. There was some worry in his voice, but he tried not to show it.

Libero nodded. "Nice to meet you, Akri." She replied, and stood still. After a moment, she caught sight of Oshaif, and watched as he returned to the tree. At first, her mind didn't process his words, and stared stupidly for a moment before hearing Akri's words. The female sighed inwardly. "No where's safe anymore."

Akri nodded in agreement to Libero and Melody's remarks.
"We do have an advantage though against other creatures," she said with her mouth full, "we can fly. But it might not help that much with the tall trees."
Akri then finished the last of her her rabbit and nodded in thanks again to Oshaif for the hunt.

Oshaif nodded once more. "Yes, we should rest, but we should still be prepared to take off..." He looked at Akri. "Are you okay to fly for a while?" He asked. He didn't want to leave one of the group members behind. He blinked as Akri talked before he had finished.

Oshaif nodded. "What she said. We aren't going to leave anyone behind." he said. He stared at the ground and felt it rumble a bit underneath the tree that he was standing on. He looked up at the sky.
