It has been quite a few months since I've been on eggcave due to having no Internet. Now that I'm back it feels like there's less people online. It seems to take forever for more posts to be put on the livepulse and longer to see new trades put up on trade center. So am I just imagining things or are less people playing now?

There is actually less people on. Most have quit after the fact that CC gifting was taken down, since there isn't much to do on here anymore

That's too bad. I didn't know that cc gifting had been removed. I bet it caused a lot of problems though. It would be nice if you could offer cc on trades. It will never happen though.

That actually has been suggested a lot, but the mods don't like it.. I don't remember why though

I saw one of the mods post something last time I was here about how 2013 was going to be a great year for eggcave. Just makes me even more sad to see it all go downhill.

Well, we've been getting new members every day. But most are being ripped off from the older users, causing anger between new and old users >u<

Makes me mad when I see users taking advantage others like that. I have seen a lot of new faces around but many times new players are into it for a few weeks or a month and then get board. I hope some of the new people stay eggcave needs more.

Yes that's true. Or some of the users quit because of school
In summer every year, it was bustling and trades were made every second. Now, a trade is made every 5 minutes or so, the forums are dead, and there's really nothing.
I miss those days last year.

Yeah, I liked this site because it had less people on it while most online games can have millions of players. Now it has not near enough. It's like a ghost town.

It's a very odd creature from a far away land. They look a bit like machokes but not purple and have a lot less muscle.

The best way I immortalize is to put my profile link and it immortalizes all my creatures with views.

@leafpoolz That's so true. Eggcave used to have so many members active at all times- you could barely get a word in edgeways in discussions, and RPs were impossible to keep up.

I used to have an account in 2011, however I had a wifi problem for days, then there was school so my cove went downhill. I logged in this June and felt terrible. Only one creature was left in the cove (thankfully he was immortal). Many of the friends I talked to had quit so rather than feeling terrible and miss the 'old' EC I made a new account and moved my remaining creature to it. I plan on using my old account as storage in the future but until then it's just a shell :'(

I recently started playing EggCave and have really enjoyed it. This is my first site I have played that is really forum based and a really good start. Currently I play EggCave, Order of the Griffin, and Howrse(if you count that) but my favorite is EggCave.

Yes, Eggcave is one of those more enjoyable games, but now rather rude children and adults have come here and ruined the game experience for many players

Yeah eggcave is a very fun game to play. I left it for a long time and was bit sad when I returned. The game lost alot of good people and I have found it has gained some not as nice ones. Of the people still left on eggcave most are nice but be careful of scams. I still enjoy eggcave but it used to be better.

Wow, I'm pretty sad when reading throughout this whole topic... It seems like the former EC used to be a very warm, sociable and fun-loving place where users get along and always reach out to each other, now the society has changed...

I'm personally one of the-fairly-new-users around here, been here for nearly 3 months xD I do find the site quite... empty and it lacks people, but there are a lot of nice people here, and there's plenty of tasks to do, though sometimes it gets repetitive, but at least I do have goals to work towards.

I guess Ian has to do something to make users feel committed, more attached to the site, the art is the essential reason why people love the site, and it's been going downhill =(

Yeah he needs to do something soon or else I am afraid that this site may become entirely dead. It's good to have new users around and I hope they continue to come. I hope some of the old users come back someday. Alot of my friends had left the site when I returned.

It's true, if you check the welcomes and introductions board, many new usernames appear, but when you view their profiles, oi... they had only been here for one day or just a couple of days, then quit =(
Only very few newbies stick around until now.
Obviously, EC isn't doing a very good job at tempting users and stuffs, they really need to step it up.

On the other hand, the new creatures will be out in just a few more hours 8D
Can't wait! 😸 ^^

And no worries about the late replies, people have their own problems in RL, so I completely understand! ^^

I feel like summer is always the busiest season for Egg Cave, and then once school starts, some people quit, other people become inactive, and everyone begins noticing how empty the forums are.
As the school year passes, we get more used to that, helped by the various breaks that temporarily get people back on, or on for longer; then June comes again, there are at least five new posts every time you refresh the Livepulse, new people join, old people come on more often...and then school starts again.

The speed at which the Forums refresh now, is like the way it was in summer when I stayed up until midnight (my time) on my phone.
