I'm terrible at starting, but here goes nothing!

I don't remember when we came to Earth, and I don't remember why, but I remember the terrified look on everyone's face. I remember the sound of bombs, striking the ground.

I don't remember my parents, I don't even remember my grandparents. But I know they're dead, and that they died for me.

I remember when I got my third scar. I was laying in bed one night, somewhere in Arizona, and a searing pain grew on the side of my leg. It was like there was lava in my veins, my skin was bubbling. My Cepan came in, and he knew what was happening, so did I, Number Three was dead.

The next morning, we got up, and drove away. We stopped at a small diner, and sat down in the back.

"I want my name to be... Alex... Harp," I said. My Cepan chose the name Mack.

He printed out fake I.D.'s, birth certificates, drivers license's, and everything else we needed.

We drove and drove, and stopped at a motel one night.

"We'll be staying in Paradise, Ohio, a small town nestled in the middle of nowhere," he said. I could tell his nerves were on edge, they always were for the first few days after Guarde died, but he was especially edgy knowing I was next.

I woke up one night, midnight. I heard a loud crack and a scream outside. Immediately getting up, I rushed over to see what all the fuss was about. And yet there it was. My worst nightmare. My parents' end. Collapsing on the floor, I released a huge sob and picked up the phone to call the ambulance. Other than that, all I heard was whispering, a loud siren going off. I thought it was the end for me.

All she could remember was bomb go off and a ton of screams following after. Her parents came rushing in and took her to a space pod that would send her to Earth where she will be safe. They had a Cepan go with her and be her 'guardian angel'. But now that little girl now lies on Earth, hiding among the humans...

"Wake up sleepy head" said her Cepan, Aubrie. Felicity groaned as Aubrie opened up the shades and the sun bursted in. "I never understood why you wanted those tattoos." Aubrie said and walked out the bedroom door to get breakfast ready. 'She will never understand teen life' Felicity thought. She got out of bed and looked out her window. She could she tropical plants, animals, and fruit and Latin American women. "Where are we?" Felicity asked Aubrie. "Fortaleza, Brazil" responded Aubrie.

Sorry, the book series is in first person, so I'm going to write that way, you can do however you want. I'll also probably switch over to present tense, sorry, that's just how I feel most comfortable writing.

Also, they were really little when the Mogs attacked and they were sent to Earth, so they probably don't remember much. And number 10 was only a year old, so she won't remember anything, and wouldn't have been able to call someone.

When we get to Paradise, we stay in a small house that is on a small forest path.

The town is about as far from paradise as possible, but Mark doesn't seem to mind, so I don't either.

"Your school is about five miles from here, you want me to drive you tomorrow?" Mark says to me.

I know he would rather me not take the bus, so I don't consider it.

"Yea, take me tomorrow, but I'll run after that," I say, knowing it would only take me a little more than thirty minuets to run there.

I'm exhausted from being in the car all day. Without saying anything else, I go plop down on my bed and sleep.

"Hmm let's call you Vi-Vi," someone broke out as I woke up one morning. And yes, I am here because according to my Cepan, I was sent in a special pod thingy form outer space. Yes, weird. So I shrugged at my Cepan, Amelia. I'll go with whatever she says. She pushed me out of my bed. "School!" She screamed in my ear and handed me my proper clothes. "No pajamas!" She stuck her tongue out. She was funny and strict at the same time. Groaning, I pulled on my clothes and ran down to the bus waiting for me. I was pretty sure everything special about me was a secret, so I kept my mouth shut as I climbed on the bus.

"Good morning, Sunshine" My Cepan said with a bright smile.

"Is that my name now?" I asked. My Cepan shocked her head and laughed.

"No. You get to pick your name like I get to pick mine too" My Cepan replied. "I'm Marie and you are..." My Cepan or Marie asked.

"I am Carla Martain." I replied.

"That's great darling. Now I am going to get the important information we need. Okay?" Marie exclaimed. Carla nodded then Marie went to her room and began to make birth certificates, fake I.D.'s, driver's license and other papers they needed.

Carla sat in her room and looked at her scars. She had three now. She got the third one when she was in Rome, Italy at a luxury hotel. Carla was worried about Number 4 because they were next. "Okay the papers are down. Now lets go downstairs and have a lovely breakfast" Marie said with a kind smile. Then Carla jumped off her bed, slipped on some clothes and ran downstairs. Marie cooked sausage, eggs and toast because that was Carla's favorite. Marie fixed her and Carla's plate then she began to eat. Carla began to eat too. When they were finished they put the dishes in the sink. "So what do you want to do today Miss. Carla?" Marie asked.

"Let's go shopping and get our nails done" Carla joked. "I am serious about the clothes part but not the nails. I guess we could go shopping for a car too" Carla exclaimed with a laugh. Marie laughed at Carla then nodded at her suggestion.

"I'll call a taxi" Marie said then she grabbed the phone and dialed a taxi service. *minutes later* The taxi arrives and they head to the mall or shopping center.

The next morning, I woke up with a smile on my face.

"Hey Mark," I say, walking down stairs.

"First day of school," he says, cracking two eggs in a bowl.

I sit down and wait for him to finish. When he does, I quickly eat my meal, and grab my stuff.

"I'm going to school," I saw, and run out of the house.

I climbed onto the bus and oh my, these kids were gigantic. They were like 12 years old, and that, don't you think, is old? I am only 10. All of the others were smushed in their group, chatting. Chatting about boys, girls, science, English and blah blah. So I figured it was boring, and was a statue for the whole ride.

Mark drops me off at school, and I walk towards the front doors, trying to stay invisible.

"Alex Harp, here you go," the woman who works in the office says, "So, where did you transfer from," she speaks softly with a slight lisp.

"I'm from Montgomery," I say, lying.

She opens her mouth to continue interrogating me, but I walk away before she can.

I walk around the school, unsure where to go.

"New here?," a girl says, walking next to me.

At first, I find it strange that she would just come up to me, but this being a small town, I'm sure a new face doesn't come around to often. Everybody at least recognizes one another, so a new kid like me is pretty singled out.

"Yea, trying to find my locker," I say, flicking my schedule out for her to see.

"Oh, well it's right over here," she says, and we turn right, then again, and she shows me my locker.

"Thanks," I say, trying to get it open.

"I'm Nicole, you can ask me if you need any more help," she says, lingering at my locker.

"I'm Alex, and, uh, thanks," I say, turning back to my locker.

Nicole wanders off.

My first class is history. After that, I have French. Nicole is in my class too. She smiles at me, but a boy sitting next to her glares at me.

Once I arrived school, I slowly 'sludged' down the steps, or as you can say, drop. I wasn't very EXCITED for this school year, which made me not so excited for the day. I've never really been to same school for more than a few days, because my Cepan and I have always needed to find the perfect place to settle down. And yes, this is the perfect place. And that means I will be here for more than a few years. I decided that I should really try and make friends, and get used to this school.

I walked through the big gates, where, on the top, said "Columbus Middle School." Now that must sound weird, because I'm ten. I'm in 5th grade, and that's primary. So you see, they have middle school, and 5th grade.

"No wonder they have older students," I mumbled, as I headed in.

Walking through the great big hall, I met a poster, that said to go to the principle's office if they were new. So as it said, I went. I drifted across to the room that was labeled "Principle Whouston". I grinned, and smiled as I nodded to the principle. She looked pretty nice, so I wasn't worried.-At all.

I sit impatiently through French, wanting to get on with the day.

After french is third period, science.

My fourth period is English.

Then I have lunch. I don't see anywhere I can sit by myself.

My eye catches on Nicole and the boy I saw in French. He has his arm draped over her, and when she sees me, he whispers in her ear, and she giggles while he gives me a threatening look.

I see a boy who is sitting with one other.

When I walk over, before I can ask, he says, "Yea, you can sit here."

My mouth hangs open, the question he just answered about to roll of my tongue. I close my mouth, and sit.

Appearance: Short, tan girl with freckles all over her face, trailing from each cheekbone to the other, crossing the bridge of her nose. Long, chocolate brown curly hair that cascades down to the middle of her back in big ringlets. She has deep green eyes that seem to stare into your soul. She wears ripped, muddy skinny jeans, a plain black tee, and black and white checkered Vans. She is a bit on the scrawny side.
Personality: Has a bad temper and is more times than not sarcastic, but is always loyal to the very end. Some call her foolish, but she thinks of it as being "adventurous".
Legacies: Her one and only legacy is the ability to create and control fire.
Cepan: IS DEAD... Unless someone wants to make one. 😋

"Hi," I smiled at the principle, as she grinned back.

"So what's your name..." She trailed, pulling her chair closer.

"Um, Vi-Vi." I mumbled back.

"I mean your REAL name... Not your nickname," she snatched back, maybe she wasn't so nice after all.

"Uh...um..." I thought for a long time until I came to a conclusion. "Violet." I said, after I cleared my throat falsely.

The principle just glanced at me, and scribbled Violet down on the name section. She then asked me a challenging question.

I smiled, and thought of random countries. I tried to find one that matched my look. "Europe," I said, curling my hair, "Europe, Spain, Barcelona." I couldn't think of anything else, so that blurted out form my mouth.

One boy has a geeky look to his face, with curly brown hair, freckles and glasses. The other boy, who spoke to me, has shiny golden hair, that falls just below his ear.

I sit, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

"Your new here," the boy with curly brown hair says, it isn't a question, "Where'd you used to go?"

"I lived in..." I momentarily forget what lie I had made up earlier, and the boy gawks at me. "Oh yea, Montgomery, Alabama."

"You forget where your from?" the blonde boy says, almost mocking me.

"I'm Geoffrey," the boy with curly hair says.

"Alex."

I turn to the blonde boy again, "Oh, you want to know my name," he sneers, "Nathan."

What is his problem. I just want to sit somewhere and eat my lunch.

When the bell rings, I'm glad to get away from Nathan.

Is my next class, I sit next to a nerdy kid, he looks similar to Geoffrey, but is my smaller. Not that Geoffrey is fat, but he's built taller and broader than this boy.

"Hey, my names Evan!" he beams, as if he just did something impressive, or heroic, or good in anyway.

All throughout class he made jokes, but none of them were funny. I really hated people like this. I just smiled and nodded my head as he tried to entertain me.

In my next class, I see Nicole and sit next to her.

She leans over to me, "Hey, sorry about lunch, I wanted you to sit with us, but my boyfriend gets so jealous."

I don't say anything, she has a boyfriend?

Apparently, I made a face or something, but she decided she should explain, "I'm trying to break up with him, but it's like he won't let me. Whenever the time is right for me to tell him, he doesn't listen, like he knows what I'm going to say and isn't going listen."

The teacher walked in the room, and started talking. About five minuets into class, a boy comes rushing in.

"Mr. Kyle Wilson, your late for what seems to be the hundredth time!" she scolds in her snobby British accent.

He looks at Nicole, and then at me.

He walks past me, "accidentally" knocking my stuff onto the floor. Kyle, is Nicole's boyfriend.

Eight woke up late, and swore under her breath. She shouldn't have stayed up that late! Swinging down from the treetops to the Redwood Forest's floor, she decided that after two months of living here, it was time to move on. Unlike some Garde, Eight had grown accustomed to being constantly on the move, though she'd quickly come to love the Redwood Forest and it's large trees. Those idiotic Mogs were just not going to let her settle down. Eight thought for a moment, and decided that now would be a good time to switch from remote and unihabited hideaways to blending in with civilization. The Mogs wouldn't be able to predict this. Eight's life would be less in danger... Hopefully she didn't find any other Garde. The girl began to sprint off to the north. Maybe she'd find some civilization that way.

She scratched her red hair and blinked her greenish blue eyes.

"So, what class do you have," she muffled out, as she followed me down the hall. I thought it was a little weird for someone to follow me like that, but oh well.

"English." I said, and kept on walking faster, trying to get rid of her. I wasn't really friendly type.

The girl though, just followed me. "Me too!" She yelled, which caused quite a distraction. "Oh." I whispered, and continued walking.

Even though you joined first, if you ever come back, you will have to choose anyother continent to be in too. Sorry, but you, tralala, and me are all in the U.S, and tralala has been more active, so if you come back, you have to move. 😃

I share my next two classes with Nicole two, and Kyle is only in one of them.

I get through the day, and Mark comes to pick me up.

"How was your first day?" he says, slightly joking.

"Fine," I smile. I get in the car, and we drive home.

"So, anything happen, you make any friends, any girlfriends?" he jokes, not looking at the road half of the time.

"No, not really," I lie.

When we get home, Mark makes dinner, and I sit, impatiently waiting, and trying to do my homework. Eventually, math gets to hard so I look it up online. I'm not exactly worried about my future education. The Mogs, yes, even Nicole, and Kyle, at least a little, but school? I never worry, and usually make about a C.

I eat the dinner Mark made, and we stay up until midnight, at which point Mark says it's too late, and I have to rest, although I know he is still in his room, scouring the internet that could possibly be one of the others.

I did read the rules and I did not realize that either, sorry. I already started though, and California is all the way across the country... I can change but I'd rather not... >^<

I haven't read the books....
I also feel like my character isn't going to interact with anyone for a very long time. >< I might quit this... There isn't a lot for me to do right now and blah... :/

@ems If you read the entire paragraph, I said that that applied to the beginning of the RP. "Furthermore, no Guarde will have more than two Legacies at the beginning of this RP, but will gain them as the RP continues. Most will not have two, some will have one, and some will have zero." I was referring to how many they will have at the beginning of the RP.

Furthermore, we can.... jump-start (I guess) the RP, so that a few of them have already met. For example, you and tralala and I could meet, because we are all in America. And if xoxo comes back, she's also in America, and cutebirdy and epicthings, if they come back, we could meet somewhere.

Anyway, you could accidentally set the forest on fire or something, and somebody could see you, and then we come and find you or blah. OR somebody else could do something, but probably somebody with no Cepan.
