Hello everyone, I am sure that a great deal of us busy folks are having time management problems with egg cave and the world happening around us. Some of you will might not like my ideas, but that is ok and a very normal reaction- remember you don't have to post if you don't want to make a suggestion.IDEASIt there ANY way that the rate of death can be changed a little, or something, maybe give us a little more time instead of under a week's time. We don't have to rid of the death thing, but it would be cool if their was other goals than earning immortality. Or maybe can we have an option to "suspend our accounts in time" if we must, say, go on a foreign exchange or something and we don't have access to a computer and can't pay 2.50 dollars for every lost creature. Please consider that these are ideas, not all will work and not all will be your favorite, Maybe you will dislike all of them, but it does not hurt to think about it a little bit if you are interested!I know I will have to quit at some point if something can't be figured out, and I think that this has happened with many accounts since whenever I use the search engine a great many accounts are totally dead. because I am going on several foreign exchanges in the next two years of college and in the summer, I thought of this, and I bet that there are other folks out there who would want to go on an exchange trip too. I want to talk this over that is all, because having more time to do real world things means that egg cave would be attracting and keeping a wide range of healthy audiences.please express any ideas of how we can fix this difficulty (if at all plausible)! I would like this chat space to be a suggestive and innovative one, not a space of argument please.******I would appreciate everyone to be conscious of how they speak to others, and if something you are typing sounds derogatory or rude, avoid saying it all together!

@boxi definitely agree to this ❤️

@boxThe creatures don't die at level 2000, they can gather their own food at that time. Their happiness drops if you don't feed them but they don't die.

@you I completely (and both sympathetically and empathetically) understand where you're coming from. I know plenty of other users do, too.But where's the responsibility? IRL, do you look at a baby and say, "Oh, I wouldn't be able to take care of this little guy 24/7. I hope that when I'm older, I'll be able to freeze time so that it doesn't starve to death or anything." ? No, you've got to just deal with it - with lots of ups and downs along the way - and if you have a child, you look after them and /care for them/. Adoptables sites, in my eyes, are meant to be fun but taxing - almost like an online simulation for looking after a real pet or child. The taxing part consists heavily of having responsibility. It's not actually that hard to get them to level 2000 (as I've experienced) and there are always topics in General Discussion that give free feeds. I am so tired and I really can't be bothered to type more about this (I've done this for a similar topic and I really don't want to have lots of deja vu) but I hope you understand my side of the argument from those two short paragraphs. c:

I really would hope that in this space we keep it to suggestions for getting around the death problem. I do really appreciate you taking the time to read what I have to say, I can be quite a wordy one when I ideas come to mind!

@you I get what @karamel is saying and she won't sound rude at all, but considering a lot of people have already talk about this, the post sounds a bit redundant.Actually the main topic of this game is take care of your eggs. This means that they need you, otherwise where is the purpose? After you adopt eggs from cave or trade for them, they are under your competence. If EC take off their mortality, what's the use on having eggs? Why coming here everyday? The same if it gets too easy to immortalize, if you only need a week to have all your eggs independent, than what to do on this site after that?!I'm 26, I've a job and go to university, and I always find a bit of time to feed my eggs or to ask some people to help me. It's not such a big deal coming here at least every 2-3 days and feed eggs. I can understand you now are very busy, but if this game is no more fun but a weight it's something related to you, not to the game rules.

@you @karamelI halfly agree to Karamel and halfly agree to You. Yes, some people need time for real life, and have to do all kinds of stuff and have no time to feed there eggs. Then creatures die, and you have to buy new ones. Yes, maybe they should not die so fast.But...Karamel has a point. So does @dafni .The whole point of the game is to take care of your eggs, so if you don't take care of your eggs, what's the point of playing the game? So my conclusion is that maybe Tim's Food Shoppe can let you book him for cheaper. That's the farthest I can go because the whole point of this game is to feed your eggs. I understand fully if you don't understand me.Good luck though!😊

@you I sincerely apologise about my remark; I wasn't thinking straight and only now realise that it can be interpreted in a rude way. I didn't mean to post entirely just with empathetic or sympathetic intentions - as I don't support this idea - I just meant that I empathise with your point of view. However, that doesn't mean I'll yell or insult you right off the bat and I'm sorry if I came off as annoyed or harsh. :cThis discussion doesn't upset me at all and I hope you realise that. This topic is about your suggestion - which is great! 😸 That's what this forum section is for - however, I happen to be against that something. The reason I posted was so that I could give my input on this suggestion and that I am against it.I'm not going to give extra (quote) creative suggestions to improve this topic nor comment on your existing suggestions, as I'm generally against this and I've been against every other topic that has a similar suggestion. 😉@dafni has hit the nail on the head for me (especially with the second paragraph).I also hope that you know my posts in this section are mostly (if not all) directed at the suggestion or topic at hand, not at any user(s) in particular or collectively. That's a given, though, and I hope that you don't take my post(s) personally. c:

Well I agree with some of it what You is saying. I think you should be able to suspend an account for a certain amount of time so your creatures don't die while you are away. I think it would be nice if it were like 100cc to bring back a creature. 250 is too much. I also think Tim's should be a little cheaperI however think that creatures should still be able to die. Just not quite as fast.
dafni • 8 September 2013 at 3:54 AM
@box @youWell, actually the post is called "Why must creatures die so fast?" and you even write "I don't understand why they die..." ecc. and that's why I answer you, plus, in the end, this is the main point of the game... In general, I think lacking on time for feed it's a user problem, not of the site or the rules, even if I can really understand your point of view. So, my suggestion was, I'm sorry if it wasn't clear to you, that you can try to get a tiny time in a way or another to feed, or to ask people for help if you think Tim's food shop is too expencive.Over that, I read about make it cheaper, but again if it's too easy put your eggs in the shop or suspend an account, the foundation of the game is removed, then I don't think they are reasonable solutions. Maybe we can try ask that the creatures can die more slowly, again I'm not sure towards the playability of the site, but right now it seems the better idea. Both me and @karamel gave our opinions, it's not just strait disagreement, but simply another face of the situation, and I don't feel like I say something so bad to you to be told that my words are pollution. If I answered it's because the subject interests me, but honestly at this point I'd rather not have more pings on this, so good luck to you.

@youI feel ya, but I don't exactly agree. If you really need to name virtual animals after the memories that you clearly remember because you named your animals after them, why don't you just adopt a ton of dogs or buy some fish and name those after your memories or just do something where you don't need to constantly come on some sort of game.
you • 8 September 2013 at 6:08 PM
@leafpoolz great suggestions! I like your input and I think that these things would help, and you are right, they don't have to be immortal, that was only one suggestion of many, and that would only be plausible if their was some other goal of the game certainly. Very nicely put.Maybe the suspension thing would be nice. Then, to make it fair, nobody can see or feed your cove while you are gone including the user. It would be similar to when you turn off a timed video game- it won't be timed while you are not playing but when you turn it on again you play where you left off!I don't know, I think it could be plausible, maybe? @victorythevaporeon yeah that is always fun to do! I love animals and naming them. ps: I love orange yay!!

@you Account pausing would have spared me a lot of grief. I lost all my non-immortal creatures after having no Internet for a very long time. I still have 5 I am trying to replace but, some are very pricey. It would cost me $12.50 to resurrect them all, which is obviously too much.As for the not being able to see or feed coves while they are paused, I would have to say I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps you could enter how many days you want it paused. So if you are out of town for two weeks you could suspend your account for that long.I really hope that Ian takes the whole account pausing thing into consideration. I think it's a good idea.

@you So I just came back on the computer only to find like over 30 creatures dead XD Totally agree.
metaphor • 25 September 2013 at 12:24 AM
I feel that there should be some kind of discount for Tim's the more creatures you have. Nothing big, just something to make the cost a little more manageable when you don't have time to make tons of EC.

@you I agree, they shouldn't die so fast. I also like the idea of freezing your account if you're gone for longer periods of time. Abuse of this option can be prevented simply by only allowing freezes of 30 days or more and no option to get on the account before the time you specified is over. This will deter lazy people from icing side accounts they use only for trading, because it would really be impossible to get to anything on the account. I do think the profile and creatures should be visible though, just not getting any views/clicks/feeds, otherwise it would be confusing with taken names etc.I also think there should be an option to get an email when one or more of your mortal creatures hit an amount of happiness you can set yourself. For example you can set like 25 and if one or more of your creatures is down to 25 at reset you get an email notifying you. I just had like 10 creatures die just because I was a few days late (1 or 2) with booking Tim.And to the people rambling about responsibility: this is supposed to be a game, games are supposed to be fun, not annoying. Creatures die too easily here, and compared to the other sites I'm on it's VERY difficult to get them immortal. And comparing pixels to a child or pet? Seriously? As soon as Ian introduced the resurrection option any sort of comparison to the real world disappeared, now he's just profiteering of people slipping up.I'll see myself out.
