Cash Shop (CC) Gift Certificates

I know of other sites that offer a similar deal - that people without an Egg Cave account can buy Gift Certificates for their loved ones who do play Egg Cave, and the player can redeem the Gift Certificate on the website for their account when they're given the certificate.

It's a simple thing - buying a Gift Certificate would be just like how we can purchase CC through using Paypal, with an activation code included on a Print-Out - the Certificate.

Perfect for Birthdays, or Winter Holidays (like Christmas), even on other yearly occasions when gifts are given.

The whole purpose of Certificates would be so we could still get the anticipation of getting something we want (not just money, which is kind of a boring gift, though useful), and have a physical reminder of it.

My Birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and I would like to be able to ask for a Gift Certificate for Egg Cave, either then or before my family celebrates Christmas. Otherwise I'll just be asking for money (which is kind of rude/boring), and Gift Certificates or items from other places.

I've always wished that they sold these, I put it as a suggestion in the little survey they had up earlier. My parents don't like it when they have to use their credit card online and would be much more secure buying a CC card.

Oh! Sorry, I really didn't read that very carefully. I think that's a good idea too! It would be nice if people who don't play eggcave could buy CC certificates for others. It could make gifting for others a bit easier.

@rockinsia I believe this has been suggested in the past but it has been shot down because Egg Cave is a smaller community. Sites driven by money (e.g. Club Penguin) have massive communities and are popular enough so that they can actually sell products. Egg Cave isn't as popular, however, so the gift certificates aren't going to be sold as much as Club Penguin ones. It'll cost more money to actually make the gift certificates (getting resources and mass-producing them) and EC would probably make a loss in that sense.

If you're worried about security, go by PayPal. You can tell whether it's secure by looking at the URL bar--there should be a green padlock and/or https:// at the beginning. That means it's a secure connection.
