Okay this is the the Discussion about the

okay it's kind of going to be different from matp, but this is going to have mythical creatures, and supernatural kind of thing to it, just thought that I'd let you know


it is 2 years since you have been in the city musin, and when you return to musin, it has fallen into darkness and disper only the shadows clan lives there and spirits live there, you are held captive by the shadow clan.

you are ether a black chess piece of the Black Kingdom, or you are ether a chess piece of the white Kingdom.

Black Kingdom:
Shadow.
Spirit
A dark creature (werewolf, vampire ect)



White Kingdom:
Human.
Light creature.

@amelialightwing Wait so I'm confused. Everyone left the city after Ella and Caleb died, and they come back and it's been taken over by dark forces? Also, what do the chess pieces have to do with anything?

@ems I'm sorry, that I changed the plot it is no longer the second part of music and the princess, I had the plot but my eevee died, and an umbreon took its place. 😋

@amelialightwing @ems We can sort of discuss the roleplay together? Everyone can give helpful ideas, I'm sure and we can all contribute.

Also, the peopl ('contractors') that killed Caleb and Ella, as well as Victor, could've been shadow creatures. However, that is, if the roleplay is going to be a sequel of MatP? If not, then we're free to do anything. xD

Also, I've got an idea about the chess pieces.
There are meanings behind each and every piece on the board and maybe some characters would fit the profiles. I'm imagining two very powerful entities forcing a game of chess onto the residents of the city. There are black pieces and white pieces, which evidently battle against each other.

Okay so the pawns...

~THE PAWNS
The Pawns are the first line of defence and they symbolize the eight vices and the eight virtues.
To be a black pawn you must possess a vice:
1. Gluttony
2. Greed
3. Lust
4. Anger
5. Pride
6. Vainglory (being vain)
7. Acedia (not caring about anything)
8. Sadness

To be a white pawn you must possess a virtue:
1. Honesty
2. Compassion
3. Valor
4. Justice
5. Sacrifice
6. Honor
7. Spirituality
8. Humility

~KING
The King is the being, for which the battle is given. The Black King is beast and the White King is Being (human being). I think the Black and White king should be one person... And he would be struggling being beast and human. Perhaps a person that holds an immense power but is too conflicted to use it properly.

~QUEEN
Most powerful figure, free to move in all directions. She's the symbol of the particular and divine mother, matriarch of the entire fleet of chess pieces - in short, black Queen controls every black piece and white queen - the qhite pieces.

~ROOK
The rook represents watching or observing our inner world. Moves linearly: towards the exterior and towards the interior - symbolises auto-observation and outer observation.

~KNIGHT (horse)
Symbolises the divine Law - peace-keeper, guardian, protector, often works in sync with the Rook - observation and protection in one. It moves in an L shape which symbolises the holy Law.

~BISHOP
Egoistic, mostly traitorous, since it moves in an X shape, diagonally (which stands for evasiveness and lying).

And all of these people have to work together, the chess pieces are placed equally, the outcome of the game depends on the participants - one wrong move can jeopardize the game and cost lives.

I consider this an interesting concept that we can exploit, don't you think? ^^

Anyways, I think that would be so much fun. 8D I have some idea of how maaaybe we could use Caleb, Ella and Victor... But I think it's best if they stay dead for now. XD It'd be too easy if they could like appear or something... >< But I kind of miss Ella... xP But new characters are awesome too. x3

Anyways, I was thinking about this... how about the process of making a black chess piece is by killing them? The dead rise painted the colors of war and are forced to stand against their previous allies - forced to fight against good.
Maybe Ella can be the black Queen and Caleb can be the King who is fighting between Beast and Being? Remember his hair? One half black and one half white - he's partially good and partially bad, because he used to be corrupted but then he did a good deed and showed that he possessed a lot of virtues - so he's stuck in the middle, while Ella has to suffer from being forced into the black side?

And then in the end we can see if they are able to beat back the evil and seperate themselves from their evilness in the end(like an internal battle against themselves, you know), only to die again to save everyone. >8D Just a thought. XP Or maybe the others have to destroy their friends to win the battle against the black pawns...

Also, do you think the battle would be on a real chess board and stuff? Because I'd love to revamp Ella's physical form and make her look all epic instead of her just looking like a pawn or something. 😋

Also, btw, they have others to aid them - The Rook is the King's support (there was a move when the Rook and King changed places so as to keep from losing the game). The white Rook will help with Caleb's internal battle. The Queen's left hand - the Bishop, will most likely be a traitor and the Knight will be the protector.

Pawns are the first line, they're different from the Queen... so ah, she'd have a different design =P As for chess board - I prefer this to be a struggle in the real world but imagine a board with all the pawns shaped and made like our characters lined on it. The entities contorlling the board are able to move the figures and force the characters to do something agaisnt their will if it's for the greater good of the game, but the figures mostly move themselves, guided by how the real beings move - their deeds usually depicts their place on the board. So yes, you can totally draw the board if you want xD

I was also thinking about the Knights... maybe making a Centaur ;3 I'm thinking of that xD And then Caleb being partially beast - human in his White form and an actual beast in his black form, so when he visits Ella, he'd always be in the form of a giant wolf per se or a bear, unable to speak or depict his feelings. And initially, I was thinking that they wouldn't know it's him. He can only go to Ella as a beast and must convince her that it's him. And when he's amongst the white he is a human being. So he can choose the white sie and remain human or the dark side, where Ella is and where he has to kill his friends, and furthermore - he has to become a beast permanently.

I think I'll take the liberty of making the traitor, I want to exploit a new character's deceitful nature and he's perfect for the place.

I'm sure that if the rolepay develops well, I'd feel the need to draw everybody as a chess piece at some point. I usually do. xD As for the board - neh.

I've the design of Caleb in my mind - completely white save for a black streak in his overal pearly hair and a completely black wolf with a white streak over his chest or side. As for the Centaur... I'll have to think about it.

Anyway, I think we need to wait for Amelia to come online to post the topic. She's the owner of the roleplay after all, and I don't think she'll appreciate it. Going ahead is disrespectful and we need to discuss it with her and the others as well.

I'm going to draw Ella anyways, even though I can't draw people to save my life. XD Imma revamp her new design and old design... o3o Pink eyes... Well they don't exist. XD I was thinking of a coppery yellow thing. 😋 Then she'd be the same as another character I named Ella (who has a way better design) and then they can be the same person! 8D *babbles*

I'm wondering if you and her discussed anything more about the roleplay because we can add a lot and get creative with the concept of chess pieces.
Another thing - pink eyes do exist, though they're only in cases of albinism and even despite that, they're rare. Still, she could've dyed her hair. It'd be intersting if she originally had white hair and dyed it rainbow... And then it becomes black or something darker when she becomes queen?
Also, I was guessing that apart from being the ultimate martiarch of the army, she'd also be a witch or some other supernatural creature?
I've got Caleb's design almost figured out.

There is also the question -- who are the chess players? I thought about keeping it a secret and later on figuring it out amongst ourselves, though I'm quite sure it'd end up something like God and Satan. Maybe we could take it that the people we're using are key figures for a major event and must battle it out amongst themselves in order to decide the faith of the city. I was thinking along the lines of border of the world - the city could be an energy magnet that has formed into something of a hellgate and heavenpath - it's the very edge of the three worlds (partly in heaven and partly in hell, but existent in the human world as well). So whoever dies there goes to either hel or heaven and then gets reborn on the chess board (whose figures symbolise the city's guardians) as a white or black chess piece.
So that's why Caleb is torn - he wasn't sent neither to heaven, nor to hell and remains on the border because Satan and God cannot decide where to send him. He's the only one that has a choice - choose the light or dark. Whichever side he goes would benefit of his powers, which are immense. He has a choice but the choice isn't easy.

In short, I think of making him the balancing piece in the board - the heaviest figure that can tip the favors towards one side and can close off either heaven or hel by helping either sides win. Thing is, he's got Ella to lose and he's not yet sure whether or not it's a price worth paying.

I think the way of choosing chess pieces for the light and dark side are by dying... Like I previously thought about, the city could be on the border of hel, heaven and still be visible on earth so whoever dies there goes either to hel or to heaven and comes back on either the black or white side. Quizzes are... a bit trivial xD
