@jupiter_hollow ...... Man where does all of this even come from?! XDD I can't do plots to save my life! D: I did discuss a bit with her, but it never really went anywhere... XP I'm getting too excited. CX So much excitement I can't stand it! 8D

Woah, I thought it was red though... 😋I suppose pink is a lot more likely than red though, since pink has more of a lack of pigment than red and albinism is just lack of pigmentation... Lol I'm sorry for not 'discussing'... I'm getting too excited to think in focused thoughts. XD

I think maybe the chess players could be something along the lines of an extreme evil and some wonderfully good being... God and Satan work for me though. X3 I like calling Satan 'Lucifer', especially in stories because it sounds mysterious. xD

The other thing I see lacking is what caused all of this? Surely God wouldn't want to make all these people suffer because he wanted to play a game of chess. XD And how did this connection to earth explode? I think there needs to be one evil, not Satan though... His only motive is to be evil... But what if there was this guy (creature, person, I don't really care) that wanted to take ALL the power. Ie; dethrone both God AND Satan, taking over all three worlds and thus becoming the most powerful being in existance? Maybe he connected all the worlds to accomplish this, and maybe he's already taken down Satan, which would explain God's war with him.

Problem is - how the heck does one man take down Satan? And actually, I was thinking about it all being Judgement Day. The day when heaven and hel opened up to our mortal world and took us to their sides, so they could decide the fate of humanity.

Well I kind of want to work with that... Or the thing I just mentioned. 😋 The Judgement Day and deciding the faith of the people confuses me a bit, to be truthful. The people are supposed to decide themselves, right? In theory, of course. I'm starting to get confused.

Also, I'm not entirely sure how Ella became a black pawn. If the bad people become black pawns, but Ella wasn't bad... Or do you mean the dying people (killed by the shadow men) become black pawns? Some of the ideas are starting to contradict one another. XD

Okay well, tell me the initial idea and I'll try to help. Oh and ah... It's the fate of humanity, not faith of humanity. XD They decide what happens to us, not what we preach.
And ah, yes, people do have the chance to decide what to do with themselves - they are either good or bad by their own choice, which lands them in heaven or hel.
As for Ella... I don't think any of my ideas contradict themselves - I mean, even though she wan't a bad person, she was filled with hate towards the world and I'm not sure whether she would be motivated to fight for the same humanity that stomped her to the ground.
But then again, she's your character, you can do whatever you want with her.

Okay, so the initial idea is there's this guy (not sure what he is yet) but he's harnessed all this fark magic, and has become this power-hungry being. His plan was to dethrone both Gid and Satan and take all the power, which in theorybwould probably destroy him. (Personally I think your idea's better now that you've explained it. 😋)

That makes sense. XD I do want her to be with the black pawns, I just wasn't sure what her reason would be. ^^

Not exactly. Both the 'portals' (access is a better word) for heaven and hel are opened in the general area of the city -- it's actually one giant polarized supernatural magnet, which is technically like a black hole when it comes to energy (place literally runs on entity energy). The area is undetectable and the city isn't on the map anymore, having been 'isolated' when the chess game began. Now, we CAN include the guy you mentioned - how about he's the one that made all of this happen? A demented soul, a... tainted entity that functions only on hate and depiction and wants to become a God. He cannot defeat neither god or satan. So what do people do to feel like gods? ...They endanger human lives - they cause destruction and slaughters. (I was thinking about maybe making him a religious fanatic --can be human or not, who has 'lost hope in humanity' and decides that if he thinks Judgement Day should come sooner to punish the people, then he can make it happen annnnd he does).
Now, maybe he causes this by harnessing a great deal of power? He... uhm, how should I say this... he finds the place on earth, which contains the most prominantly energetic surface and sets up Judgement Day there. Merging the three world together is something that he did, the explanation for which I'm still working on.
So, to answer your initial question - no. Judgement Day is not heaven or hel orientated. It's evil or good oriantated, dark or light orientated, all of these being human choices. So no, it doesn't decide whether they go to heaven or hel, it decides which portal (dimension merge or whatever) will be closed and which will be let loose on earth. Mr God-Wannabe sure roots for hel because he's sure the demons would redeem human kind through torture and pain and that makes him regain a bit of hope for our kind. (twisted, I know, but I like him ^^)

@ems @jupiter_hollow oh I forgot to mention that the dead people become shadows, and what I think the shadows would look like a normal person with smoke coming from their body but they are really dark and are of course like a shadow and they are not on anyones side unless they are serving the white king or the black king.

That's actually a good idea... Maybe the city was already closely linked with both heaven and hel, but this guy simply used the power he harnessed to fortify and complete the faint connections. ^^

We could incorporate that though... Perhaps at some point the white pawns (people, I'm not sure xD) are able to break the spell that causes the dead to become part of the black army. However, this wouldn't release the dead that'd already joined the black army's ranks. Then anyone who died after that would become a shadow, having the freedom to choose a side. This of course wouldn't make too much of a difference in the long run though. 😋 Unless we were to make more characters that were shadows...

How about the bad guy that caused Judgement day found a way to make himself an army by capturing human souls and forcing them into a shadow state. So they're kind of his army and he uses them against the white chess pieces.

But uhm... did you read the things we wrote? ^^" Because you didn't read the idea we had about the dead people and then when I wrote that I planned to have Caleb as the dark and white king both - Dark king symbolises the beast and the white king symbolises the human being, so these two chess pieces symbolise the war between the beast and the human... So I was planning to make him have an inner war and... well, f*ck that, apparently. Anyways, we're going with your idea I guess.

Still, do keep in mind that the King in chess isn't a leader. He's the chess piece that decides the end of the game and the other chess pieces 'fight' for him, but it's the Queen that is the most powerful piece (she can move in all directions) so the King wouldn't be more powerful than the Queen if we're going by the official chess rules.

@jupiter_hollow I read it, and I think that Caleb should have a split personality, because he is both, and since he is dead he is a shadow, and that could be one part of him the dark part of him, and then the other, I will figure out what he is going to look like, with the light side of him self so he is at war with him self, but when the war is over he goes back to the Caleb from matp. ^u^

And now, seriously. How does the chess game fit with the shadows? Because we had a plausible idea for how the chess pieces were created and now you insist on going with the shadows.

@jupiter_hollow oh I changed the beast stuff to shadow and humans I need to fix that, but I kind of think of it odd where caleb is the only king for both clans it just can't be possible unless you split him to the same character but with him planning everything for the white kingdom and then the black kingdom this war would never end because he might do something to destroy the white kingdom, and then he might plan a way to destroy the black kingdom too, I'm confused @_@ unless you have a certain way to do this. *starts banging head on desk*

No, you don't get it. Not the beast stuff.

We had a plan where the black and white pieces are created when a person dies in the city. If they die and they're bad, they come back as a black chess piece. If they die and they're good, they become a white chess piece.

Also, I planned for Caleb to be neutral. He won't have 'plans' for destroying either kingdoms, neither will he be siding with one side immediatelly. He's torn - by decisions and by the power within him. Until he chooses a side (white or dark) he's powerless because he's stuck between heaven, hel and earth, but once he chooses a side, he'll become a chess piece and claim his place as king, which is a powerful status. So the white and dark side fight without a king until he chooses a side, but they might also try to persuade him to go to their side.

It is possible to be King of both sides (they're not clans, they're called sides I think xD). Like I said, the chess piece King symbolises beast and human and the battle between both, so I was thinking of him and his black and white hair and thought "he's a mix between good and evil". in matp, he was a corrupted boy at first, but then he met Ella and his hate for the world lessened and then he died for her, so he's partially good too. So I think that after he dies, the gods wouldn't know whether to make him a black or white chess piece because he's both good and bad.

Also, I think I'll split him at the end - he'll become the white king and I was thinking of maybe making the black king a beast? Perhaps a giant red-eyed wolf, the size of a truck, made entirely out of darkness? I imagind Ella riding it places xD just like a badass queen. And also, Caleb as a white king and Ella as a black queen tho .3. @ems

That's actually cool =D I love the design ^^

However, the king isn't exactly depicted like that in chess games.
The King is the piece the whole game revolves around, but it's the weakest in terms of moving ability (in chess games that is, not in reality XD), therefore the king is actually not that powerful, although he's important. Like I said, it's the queen that holds all the power ^^" She's the holy matriarch =3

He could look like that, but he wouldn't be as powerful as he looks.

P.S. I love the shadow people ^^

Caleb - White/Black King? Or just White King idk
Victor - White Rook (he would have the gift of foresight and would share it with the Knight and Queen only; I'll probably make him a statue that rests in a place where he can see the entire city - watches over the white pawns)
Matthew - I'm thinking Black Knight (pretty much bright red hair, like fire, matching his fiery attitude - he'd call himself the 'protector of anarchy' xD idek)
