Welcome to my thread~

Some of you may be wondering what this is about so, allow me to explain 😉

This roleplay will be similar to the Warriors books by Erin Hunter. Those of you familiar with the stories will understand the layout and wont need much of a guide through, those of you who havent read them will need to read this to understand it.

In the Warriors books, there are 4 "clans" of wild cats (housecat cats, not mtn lions and pumas 😋)

Thunderclan- lives in a hardwood forest and are the main heros of the books
Riverclan- lives near the water and can swim
Windclan- lives in the open area and are very fast
Shadowclan- lives in a pine forest and are very devious
Starclan- Deceased cats who live in the sky and watch over the others, often providing advice
Dark Foresft cats- evil cats who died and went to the Dark Forest, the Warriors equivalent of hades

For the sake of spoilers, I wont say where they live but I will say that they all live sort of in the same general area (kinda like 4 countries next to each other)

Each cat in the clan starts off with a name relating to some characteristic about it (kinda like Native American names) and as it grows older and passes certain trials that mean its coming of age its name changes. A prime example of this is the hero of the 1st bunch of books in the series Rusty.

To save time and not give out spoilers, the basic plot is Rusty leaves his home for the wild when his friend gets "fixed" because he doesnt wanna be fixed and be like his friend who changed after the operation. He joins Thunderclan and because of his orange pelt (fur) the leader Bluestar names him Firepaw.

Names progress as follows:

-kit: the suffix used for babies until they become "paws"
-paw: suffix given to apprentices (cats old enough to learn to be a medical or fighting cat)
-? After -paw the leader of the clan will give the apprentice his or her own name and special suffix--example: (using my name) Bramblepaw, becomes Brambleclaw (and yes hes a real character from the books, I didnt make it up)
-star: the -star suffix means that the cat is leader of a clan. examples: Bluestar leader of Thunderclan, Blackstar leader of Shadowclan, etc.

The general heirarchy of the clans is as follows:
Leader
Deputy- assistant leader, much like a sheriffs deputy, takes over when old leader resigns or dies (unless somebody else is appointed BY the leader, or somebody challanges the deputy to a fight and wins)
Apprentices- cats old enough to learn to be a medicine cat or fighter (warrior)
Queen- nursing mother cats or cats who hang out in the nursery, mother cats in general
Kits- babies

Sometimes in the stories theres forbidden romances (one of the mains falls for a cat in another clan an their romance ends tragically) so romances between clan members is ok here, and romances between creatures of different clans (at your own risk 😉)

(I keep remembering things to add XD) Since they are cats who live outside in the wild, they do hunt and there is always a "fresh kill" pile somewhere near the middle of the camp (place where the dens and nursery and medicine cat den, etc. are)

Clans meet every full moon at a common meeting-ground called Highrock. Leaders sit on the rock while others sit below. Leaders make announcements to all the clans and all the cats have a chance to catch up with each other and chat before the meeting starts.

Since im growing too lazy to type all this myself allow me to copy from the wiki XD-- The characters have their own words for certain objects and ideas. Examples of these are the terms twoleg (person), horseplace (stable), and halfbridge (dock). The cats also use ways of measuring time and distance related to the natural world: sunhigh and moonhigh refer to the positions of celestial bodies as an indication of time. A moon is a used to indicate a month. The seasons have their own names as well, with newleaf meaning spring, greenleaf meaning summer, leaf-fall meaning autumn, and leaf-bare meaning winter. Distance terms vary from a kittenstep to a tree-length, but the most common examples are fox-length, tail-length, and mouse-length. Insults, exclamations, and phrases are also used. Mouse-brain, mouse dung, and fox dung are common expressions. There are other examples of common phrases: a mouse-hearted cat is cowardly, while a fox-hearted cat is cruel or sly. The term fish-face is used by ThunderClan to mock RiverClan cats. Similar to the human phrases "Good Lord", "What in God's name?", and "Thank God!", cats invoke StarClan for several phrases. Great StarClan, and What in StarClan's name? are used as exclamations of surprise and shock. Thank StarClan! is used as an exclamation of gratitude.

I think that about covers it. Since this roleplay is BASED on those books, the characters will be eggcave creatures versus cats (Im pretty sure that will work out) as a matter of fairness, I would prefer that characters lean more towards commons instead of legendaries and cash shop creatures, those types of creatures are better suited to be special creatures such as a oracle (mayyyyyybe a leader) in the books Im not going to name because it would be a spoiler.

You can use creatures you have in your cove, or make up one 😊

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, since each eggcave species is different in its own way, each character can have ONE (I emphasize one) special ability related to its appearance
example: a pangolin that can "talk" to leaves/trees to learn things about the surrounding environment

There will be battles since the series involves fights, but try not to make them gory or something, and please dont be graphic. There ARE children on this site, and we need to stay within @Ian's rules anyway. Also, romances are NOT to be graphic, for the same reasons I just mentioned. Creatures can have kits with each other, but please dont describe the process -.- and dont be all focused entirely on the baby. nobody likes to see " *insert name here* laid about thinking about her baby to come" every single post 😋 It is ok (if your character is having a baby) to casually drop it every now and then. For example, everyday life is happening blah blah blah. "Oh! "so and so" felt the baby roll over in her belly." or something like that or if your character is the father he can be really protective of the mother or go out of his way to make her comfortable. Normal stuff like that.

For now, just until I see how many are interested, limit of 3 characters (that should be enough for you to get started)

since users arent automatically sent a notice when a thread is replied to, for the time being ping other users that you are interacting with. I will make a suggestion to Ian about a "Follow" button that allows you to be automatically noted when a person replies to the topic.
