I don't understand the notifications anymore!

OK, so whenever someone writes on my wall or something I get a notification. So I go to my profile to have a look and the same notification is still appearing.

So basically all my notifications appear twice....

Is this normal? And if it is, is there a way to make the second notification no longer appear?

You have to delete them for them to stop appearing now.

Or they go away on their own if you wait long enough on the same page.
