There could be creature battles where you can put a creature into battle to win EC! Your creature has a certain amount of battle power (bp) and they can gain bp when they level up. When they lose a battle, they can go to a healing spring to restore bp. There is easy medium and hard modes for battling. The computer battles for the three levels, but you can also do the competition, which real players play on! In breeding caves, you can breed a male, and a female creature that have hatched to breed for a creature that have retired, but you could only do this once a month, and the breeding takes a day. You could still feed your creature though, but you can't let it participate in other things. (trading, auctions,etc.) for example, male rousel+ female rousel= rousel egg

The battle thing sounds.. a bit.. complicated.

The breeding thing is a little easier to explain:
1. Rarities would go down HUGELY. People with multiple onnies, tines, solises, macbots - whatevers - could get bajillions of creatures. Although the limit works, it's still going to totally make the Eggconomy weak.
2. It needs to be more well thought out:
- Would breeding decrease happiness?
- Would the new creature be named by you or random letters?
- Would the new creature have a gender decided by you?
- Could players breed each others creatures?

etc.

@Beckyfeng08

I agree with Snowball888111 on how she says that the rarity of creatures would go down. I mean people with two tines could breed a bunch of Tines and then the rarity of the tine will go down very fast.

The battle thing sounds okay, but i'm not entirely sure if I like it or not.

@snowball888111 You could only do it once a month, and you don't know what creature you are going to get ( unless you breed the same creature) and you could still feed your creatures, like I said in the first post, and the creature would be named by you, but the gender is decided by the computer, and you could only breed hatched creatures and breed your own, for example, lets make it more complicated to decide the egg. Common egg+common egg=common egg.
Rare egg+rare egg=rare egg. Rare egg+common egg=uncommon egg. cave egg +cave egg=cave egg. The creature depends on characteristics

@beckyfeng08
It still would create a lot more rare creatures turned unrare.

Rare + Rare = Rare
is like saying
Onny + Onny = Onny
Tine + Tine = Tine

It would still be messed up.

yes, but it is unlikely to have two of the same, and lets just say, the breeding will take a week to breed, then

@beckyfeng08 I think this a great idea and would be a great thing to add to eggcave! 😊

@beckyfeng08

The battle thing seems nice.^^ Would be a fun side-thing to do and it would also spice things up. But I think it should only be hatched creatures since I don't think eggs can fight.xD
Then fully grown creatures would be stronger than the lower staged ones.

Also, the breeding option is wonderful.😊 It would be amazing to get some retired creatures again.

Although, to fix the complication with the rarities going down, how about these solutions:

1.For retired creatures, the breeding isn't always successful. Maybe a 10% success rate? And for commons, a 80-90% success rate.

2. For retired creatures, maybe there should be a waiting time after a successful breed attempt of 1 month and 3 weeks after a failed attempt. Then for commons, shorter?

@charm556
I think that's a better solution.
@beckyfeng08
It seems cool. I'd do it.

@charm556 first, it doesn't go how mature it is. Its about the level, and the breeding is a wonderful idea! but you could only breed once a month
@bookw0rm thanks!

@beckyfeng08

I was just a suggestion. But okay, level then.

I was also thinking about a breeding fee. Perhaps to breed, you need to pay an amount of EC, cheaper for commons and more expensive for retired creatures.

@charm556 sure! what do you think?

@beckyfeng08

Overall, I think it's a wonderful idea (as I said in my first post). It would be nice to see both as features of EggCave.

@charm556 KK thanks! maybe 1000 ec for commons, 2000 for uncommons, 3000 for rare, 10000 for legendaries. (out of the egg cavern rule) so two commons would be 2000, a rare and a common would be 4000 etc.

@beckyfeng08

Yep! That sounds like a good plan.^^ It would certainly keep the rarity under control since it's pricey and needs time.

Breeding may work. But, as many said before me, it has to be really hard to breed rare creatures.
I'm not sure about battles. Eggcave has very friendly appearence. To me, the idea of it's ceatures fighting seems... wrong.
However, your idea is nice and interesting. 😊

@tender its not very bloody, its just...... well until they get hurt a little, then you could heal it at the spring defense!

There's another breeding suggestion here, if you're interested

As for the battling system, isn't that a little too much like Neopets?

@wolphire

Lol, battle systems are pretty much a petsite staple now. Was the idea stolen from Neo? Totally likely. But Neo wasn't exactly the first to come up with the idea of little furry animals fighting either.

So I think a Battle system would be okay; EC would just have to make it its own and not an exact copy of Neo's. Many sites succeed at this.

@metaphor

True; I tend to tie Neopets and EC closely together, because that's how many of us found this site, myself included.

I'm personally uninterested in battling; if I wished to battle, I would be back on Neopets or even playing on Powerpets rather than frolicking on EC. However, I see how others would wish to battle, 😊

I don't really like battling either. However, if a system is well-implemented enough, I'd give it a shot. And it would give people something to do.😊

I personally don't like the idea of breeding, cause then people would have too many of one thing. Rarities would go down. And I, for one, like having a rare cove. Also, I'm not too enthusiastic about the battling either. I like Egg Cave the way it is. This is Egg Cave, not some other kind of game. 😋

@frogtoad like I said, there is only a little chance of getting a rare egg. 😊
