Item Storage Change

...and I am back with another suggestion. lol. Though this time based around the use of Item Storage. I'm sure this also has been brought up before, but its just another thing that ends up irritating me on a daily basis.

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely loathe the way Item Storage works when holding my travels. Now, I am glad they have item storage at least, so don't get me wrong there. But I find it painful, being a collector of travels, to have to dig through pages to try to find the travel I want to use for a new pet.

I'm sure people are going to state you shouldn't be hoarding travels in the first place, but as a collector, its eventually just bound to happen 5 or 6 pages plus worth of travels purchased you have put back for safe keeping. (Or trading / selling, whichever you prefer!)

I would absolutely love, instead of having each page show single images of every single travel you own. (Which usually ends up being three to four of the same travel depending on if you were able to snag up more than the one you wanted.) Instead, if it would just show ONE image of the travel, and under it showing how MANY of that particular travel you own.

You could then click it, it'd ask how many you wanted to pull out, and so forth. This way, people don't have to go on a scavenger hunt through their own item storage. It would also make less for a person to have to load each page.

It would also keep users from accidentally purchasing travels that they "think" they don't have many of. ( Meh...I hate seeing a travel, and cant remember if I bought a few of it or not, end up buying them, and then finding out later I had like 6 in my storage. >.<;; )

Either way, any sort of change from the current item storage system would be awesome I think.

I completely agree with you and was just about to make this suggestion myself. 😸 Item storage would be so much sleeker and easier to navigate if items were organized 1) alphabetically and 2) by like items/quantity.

If I understand the way our item storage currently operates, items appear in order by the time in which you place them into storage. This means that items I moved to my storage 5 months ago appear before items I placed into storage yesterday--to me, there is no functioning organization to this method of storage. It results it users having multiples of the same travel spread across several pages of their item storage. (Yes, I too am a travel hoarder! 😃)

If instead items were grouped alphabetically and by like items--all "Eastern Highlands" travels together and all "Egg Patch" travels together--it would be so much easier to find the item you want and to know how much of that item you have. Users could then find the travel they want and use a drop down menu to move the amount of travels they want of that particular travel to their inventory.

Don't get me wrong, I love that we have a place to store all of our travels, I just wish it were more organized and easier to navigate. 😊

I have like about 4000 travels in my Strongroom, and I always end up buying more and/or the travel which I wanted (even if I already had it) 😋

@mychelle Yeah, I think this is a good idea. It lists how many are in stock at the TA so it would be nice so see how many you have too.
