Do you consider newbies under 1 month, or under 2?

It can be rude to make a thread like this

@ linpug

No it isn't. I want people's opinions. How, in any way, shape or form, could it be rude?

@linpug - I don't think it's rude. XP

@jaidyn - I think that you're not a newbie when you learn alot about the site.
Like creature values, ecodes, ect.
Also when alot of peole get to know you. ^^

@taffy789 Thank you! linpug called me a newb, and I had to help her with the whole "My cash is late" Thing. If she's calls me a newbie, then I wouldn't know I thing about that!

@Jaidyn: I usually classify users as new if they're under 1 month. At least that would be my standard if I were to do some newbie packs or something.

@Linpug: I don't see how this is rude. It's simply getting peoples' opinions on a subject.

@jaidyn Well, I consider you as a newbie, because of your age... don't take offence at this.

And even oldies need help with stuff too! 😋

Newbies are basically people that are 'new' to a site.

It isn't always based on account age. Sometimes there are some older accounts that don't know much & some people with newer accounts are just starting over. Hopes that explain some stuff ^-^

To me, a newbie is anyone under four months. A n00b, however, is someone who's been here longer than that, and still hasn't learned the basics.

Hehe, in my opinion, you're a newbie until you're 6 months old.

I kinda agree with Whitefall xD

Or if you are way under-offering and your account is 1 year 5 months old I still consider that a newbie xD

@jaidyn
Well, I don't think your a newbie for a certain amount of time. I think you become a non-newbie once you get in full swing of Egg Cave, you are known by a few users, have a few good eggs, and have found your place in the Egg Cave society.

And this is not at all rude. Everyone was new to the game at some point, everyone was a newbie, so everyone understands what it's like in that position. I believe this is just plain curiosity and should not be taken offensively.

Neither. My definition of newbie is someone who doesn't know a lot about the site. My definition of n00b is someone who is rude, asks people if their creatures are UFA, ect. I prefer not to judge people by their account age, or even their creatures. 😉
