My cat was just diagnosed with diabetes and my dad hates our cat. So he just tells them to tell us how much it costs dor the insulin but I know he doesn't care. I know he won't even lift a finger for something that makes me happy. And I know I will wake up tomorrow and I won't be able to say goodbye to her. It just upests me that he wants he to always help him and he won't do one thing for me. I am tempted to just pay for it myself. Anyone have or had a cat that had diabetes? Any comfort is appreciated.

@jazzyleia never had a cat with diabetes, but I've been through tough things like this. The best thing to do, if he won't pay for it, is to pay the fees yourself. Putting down pets costs around $50, if your going that route. I've lost lots of pets, and it's really hard... I'm sorry your going through this. ☹️

@jazzyleiaMy cat, Tiger, died when I was of about 8 years old. He was in bad health and at about 12 years of age. I remember coming home from school and my dad broke the news to me, "Tiger died this afternoon". At first I thought he was kidding, but then knew it was true when our cat was wrapped in blankets, ready to be buried. We buried him in the backyard, said a quick prayer, and adorned the grave with flowers and a wooden cross. I'm not hinting the death of your beloved pet, but am here to prepare you for it in case. Loss. It happens. Don't get too down. Besides, if your cat has JUST been diagnosed, he/she may only have stage 1 diabetes, meaning it can still be cured before it turns into stage 2. Look into medication and how to cure this. As far as your dad... If you have siblings or your mother, ask for their care and help, along with their comfort. If your dad wants to be ignorant, let him be. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. In the case of losing your cat, know that their suffering and pains of sickness and diabetes is over, and they feel no more pain. You want the best for your cat, right? Pets hold a special place in our hearts, and will always be there no matter what.I hope this helped, and I;m sorry for what you're going through. Loss and sadness is a part of life. We all feel it and can all relate to it. Your concern proves that you feel compassion and have a caring heart.Off topic, but I realized you have a clocat as your profile picture... I'm honored haha XD (As @gabbyq and I created the clocat)

@jazzyleiaI had a dog who had to be put down. She had arthritis, bad sight and couldn't hear properly. My older sisters had to convince my twin and I that it was more cruel to keep her alive like that. I found that writing letters to my dog afterwards helped a lot.If you can, try paying for it yourself or try to convince your father
