Sydney was starving when she woke up. Someone was knocking on the door."Who's there?" She croaked.
"It's me." It was Ivory." I've come to bring you dinner. Emily's asleep and I wondered if I can come in." She called.
Sydney vacated her bed and walked over to the door putting on her gloves and hiding the books she had been reading. She opened the door and forced a small smile at the chicken and mash that Ivory was holding out to her.
"Thanks." said Sydney returning to her bed and eating while I vory crossed the room and sat beside her. Sydney knew what was coming. She had hoped the whole "are you ok" business wouldn't come up but no luck.

"I can tell you're hiding something." Ivory said plainly. Then she realized it might have sounded inconsiderate. "What I mean to say is, something is wrong, and I can see that. I hope you know you can tell me anything. We're family after all." she told her cousin with a small smile. "Please tell me what's bothering you, I want to help." As she spoke, Ivory noticed that Sydney was wearing gloves but didn't think much of it. It's not like she had the same magic abilities as herself... right?

Sydney put down her fork and took a deep breath looking at Ivory's concerned face.
"I did want to tell you a long time ago. But then you started to see me less and less as Emily came by. I-I-I-"Stammered Sydney but just as she was about to tell Ivory everything, Emily came in rubbing her eyes and asking Ivory to come and tell her a story. "Emily I'm busy now..." started Ivory looking at Sydney once more but Sydney cut her off by saying, "No, you go."She looked away."It's better this way" She whispered so only Ivory could hear. Ivory walked out with Emily glancing back and mouthing to Sydney, "We'll talk later".
"No need." thought Sydney as she put her plate on her bedside table and switched off the lights, climbing into her king size bed and thinking that if Ivory asked again, It would be somewhere in a better location and without anyone overhearing them. Sydney wondered if she would have the courage again or if Ivory would somehow find out herself. By now, Sydney was dozing off far away...

Star was skating down the halls when her parrot Sebastian flew into her face. "Ow! Sebastian what was that for?!" The parrot squawked at her then started flapping around her and flew down the hall to where Sydney was. Star got up than followed her parrot. "Oh, hi Sydney!"

"Hi Star." replied Sydney."What are you doing, skating around the hall?"
Sydney watched Star shrug and go downstairs. She followed her into the large dinning room where her auntie and cousins were already eating a big portion of eggs and bacon.
"Morning, Sydney!" called Emily who was poking her egg with a fork.
"Nice dress." said Ivory patting the seat beside her, telling Sydney to come and sit next to her. Sydney crossed the room and sat at the table where Bailey placed her plate before her. She ate in scilence while listening to her auntie Elsa who was telling them that they will be doing a magic class that day. Sydney dropped her fork and blushed a deep tone of red as she picked it up. Emerging from under the table, she said "Thank you Bailey. I've had enough."
"Me too."Said Ivory getting up an motioning Sydney to follow her upstairs. Bailey was about to protest but Elsa cut her off, "Yes girls. Go upstairs but don't forget to come down for pudding."
Ivory led Sydney upsaires and Into her room. Sydney's heart was beating very fast and her head was spinning with shock. What did Ivory want to disscuss now? Was it bad? What did Sydney do?

"Sydney, you're acting very strange." Ivory said, "I don't understand, please tell me what's going on!" She sat on her bed with a worried look. "It's not because... It's not because you're afraid I'll hurt you with my magic, is it?" she suddenly asked, trying to figure out why Sydney would be sad about staying here for a month. She couldn't help but feel like somehow it was her fault, or that she had something to do with her cousin's mood.

Sydney chocked on the milkshake that she had taken upstaires with her. "No! It's nothing like that! I'm not afraid of you - I'm afraid of myself." Seeing the puzzeled look on Ivory's face Sydney said, "look. I'll explain."
She stood up and crossed the room, Ivory close behind her. They went into the spare room that no one ever had been in.
"I will only tell you if you promise not to tell anyone." Sydney said as she looked seriously at her cousin's face.
"I promise." replied a confused and bewildered Ivory.
Sydney pulled of the gloves and threw them accross the room watching Ivory's eyes follow them. She sighed and made the same movement as Elsa and Ivory always did when they conjoured magic. Ivory's eyes widdened as she copied Sydney. Instantly, Ivory conjoured a snowfalke and starred wide-eyed at Sydney. Sydney had conjoured a flame...

While her sisters and cousins were doing there things emily ate her pudding and went to the garden With all Her painting materials, besides her age she drawed and painted really well. There she found a good place with a lot of red roses, big trees, birds and started to paint.
A reindeer appear and emily was amazed by it's beauty and size she wanted to start a type of friendship with it, but the animal noticed her presence and ran away.

"Sydney, that's..." Ivory stammered. "You have magic too!" she seemed more excited than worried. "But why can't you tell anyone? It's not bad at all! In fact, you should tell my mom about it, maybe she can teach you about magic too! Just because it's a different element doesn't mean it works differently than frost magic." Ivory talked fast, she was definitely excited.

"No!" Sydney cried. She could see that Ivory looked let down so she hastedly said "I don't mean anything bad but I'd tell her later. Not now. I've had enough of telling people about this today."
Ivory seemed to understand because she put a caring hand on Sydney's shoulder. Sydney crossed the room and bent down to pick up her gloves...
only to get hit by a snowball! Sydney spun round as Ivory took more shots at her laughing. The two cousins chased each other through the castle and out into the massive garden where they lay under the blossom tree they planted together many years ago. Sydney turned her head, panting and smiled at Ivory. Maybe the month she had to spend with her wouldn't be as bad as she thought it would.

Emily saw her sister and cousin under the tree laughing out loud she wanted to know what was so funny but prefered to not interfer the pretty moment, because she was small and young she felt a little distant from the older ones.
She thought it would be a good idea to go to the forest to relax and see pretty animals and plants. With that she got her materials and went to the forest

@takatheeducatedkid Sydney smiled. "That would be great. You know, I used to just read books but practicing with you! That would be like 1000000 times better." Ivory took Sydney's hand and pulled her up both of them started to giggle as the blossom fell down from the tree and they both caught a flower.
"So when do we start?" Sydney asked.
"How about just after...the tickle monster!" Ivory cried. Sydney and Ivory chased each other round the garden and on a couple of accasions, they bumped into the trees or plants. Walking back home hand in hand, the two cousins talked about the powers they owned and how amazing it was to have them.

Emily went back to the castle to find everybody in the dining room "where were you??"her mother asked "I was at the garden" she answered, her mother didn't gave them permission to go to this places because it was really dangerous so Emily prefer not to tell the thruth.
Emily saw sidney eating happily her food and went to sit by her side, "hello cousin I have a present for you!" she said and got a paper with a perfect sidney with some flowers painted on it. "Hope you like it! And make you feel happier!" She said a little embarassed and with a small smile.

"Aaaw! Thanks Emms." Said Sydney hugging her cousin tightly. She showed Ivory and then placed it next to her and carried on eating her chocolate cake. When she finished, she called Ivory and Emily to come upstairs with her. When Emily asked why Sydneyreplied, "Just you know. Wanna show you something." With Emily bounding happily behind her and Ivory conjouring snowlakes up the stairs, Sydney led them into her room. "Sit on the bed."
"Why?" asked Emily.
"Just do it." advised Ivory sitting down herself and then helping Emily.
"Now watch." Said Syney her eyes twinkling. She turned off the lights and twirled her fingers. Instantly, magnificent patterns began to form spreading accross the room and up the walls. Different types of flowers were growing on vines and a golden reindeer walked gracefully up towards a confused and astounded Emily while a dolphin swam towards Ivory and a Pheonix flew onto Sydney's shoulder. Emily's eyes widened as Sydney created 3 shell necklaces with suns on them and handed them out.
"These," she explained, "Will always be with us. All you have to do is say your name and your animal will enter the shell which will glow brightly. Say my name and they will appear again. Cool,eh?"
