Rosemary followed Chris silently, trying to blend into the shadows surrounding the group. He heard Chris still, but couldn't see her. What was happening to her? She looked.. Strange.. A tiger? He walked out just in time to hear the guard scream in terror, and with him, Sam. Rosemary, still shock-still, leaned against the wall. 'A tiger...'

When Sam was thrown to the ground he let out a shout. The sound of Chris attacking the man was drowned out by the sound of Sam's arm breaking. He laid there holding onto his fractured arm.

"H-Help me." Sam mustered out. He left out another shout as he shook from the shock.

Rosemary carefully walked towards the injured Sam. "Are you okay?.." He asked quietly, trying to avoid being seen. Then he gasped. He had heard the crunch as Sam hit the ground, but now, seeing the strangely positioned arm, he knew it was more than just a fall. It was a brake. A broken arm.

Sam's mind was a blur. He had never felt a pain like this, even after the past few days. He had just wanted to leave, to escape with his friends. Rosemary's voice was muffled. Sam looked up and searched for somebody. He felt Jay close by (as in like a few yards away) and Sam whimpered.

"Help..." Sam blacked out from the pain.

Once the soldier was dead, control was once again given back to Chris. She turned away from the body of the soldier and saw Rosemary by Sam, which by the looks of it had a broken arm. Chris quickly shifted back and ran to Sam's side. She fell to her knees by him and began to assess the situation. "Jay, come help me" Chris yelled, her voice more of a sob than a yell. Chris quickly wiped her forming tears away and tried to figure out what had to be done to fix Sam's arm but Chris didn't know and it was causing her to begin to panic.

Jay heard Chris's yell/sob and he pushed away from the wall and ran for the hallway. Once there, he saw Sam on the ground, his arm in unnatural position, Rosemary looking worried and Chris trying her best not to panic. Jay went to Chris first because he didn't want her to panic and lose control of her inner animal. He bent down beside her. "Chris, look at me" Jay whispered, soothingly as he placed gentle fingers on her chin and made her look at him. "Everything will be okay. I will take care of Sam. You go sit down somewhere and let me worry about Sam" Jay stated as he stared into Chris's eyes.

Chris looked into Jay's dark green eyes and instantly became calmer and his words helped soothe her too. She nodded when he told her to go sit down and then she stood up and walked the Infirmary. When she passed Rosemary, she grabbed his hand and pulled him along with her. "It's okay, Rosemary. Jay can handle this" Chris told Rosemary as she went to find a chair in the Infirmary.

Jay watched Chris as she left and then took a deep breath. He then turned his sights back on Sam. He knew he had to move Sam so he scooped the boy in his arms, careful not to damage his arm any more than it was. He carried him to a bed and laid him down, gently. He then began the process of readjusting Sam's arm back to it's normal position. "Please don't wake up while I'm in the middle of doing this" Jay mumbled as he realigned the bones and then began to wrap it and put his arm in a sling. "All better" Jay stated as he brushed the hair from Sam's forehead and then left to find Chris and Rosemary.

Chris found a bench and sat down, pulling Rosemary with her. She leaned her head on his shoulder and let out a sigh. "Can't believe It's only been about 2 days" Chris muttered as she closed her eyes and squeezed Rosemary's hand, which she was still holding.

It was easy to find Chris and Rosemary because of Chris's new animal scent. "How you holding up Chris?" Jay asked as he bent done in front of her. He watched her eyes flutter and then she let out a yawn.

"I'm very tired and hungry" Chris exclaimed with another yawn.

Once hungry came out of Chris's mouth, Jay's stomach growled. "Me too" Jay agreed as he held back a yawn.

"You guys are taking forever" a annoyed, female voice stated loudly.

Jay stood up and turned around and found his sister standing there, a hand on her hip. "Hey, Kitty. We were just discussing about how hungry and tired everybody is" Jay stated with a smile.

Cat rolled her eyes and then noticed Chris behind Jay and instantly smelt her new scent. "What happened to her? My blood was not supposed to do that unless she already had shapeshifter blood cells in her" Chris rambled off as she limped towards Chris. "Which one is it your mother or your father?" Cat asked, as she stared down at Chris.

Chris flinched away from Cat and buried her face in Rosemary's shoulder.

"Easy there, Tigeress. We can discuss this later. First things first we need to find something to eat." Jay exclaimed as he grabbed his sister by the soldier and pulled her away from Chris and Rosemary.

"Whatever, Jay. Just try to be quick about it. I don't want to stay here any longer and neither does Andi" Cat explained before she limped away from Jay to a far away chair.

Jay sighed but agreed with his sister. New soldiers could already be on there way and they couldn't stay in the Infirmary very long. Jay looked back at Chris and Rosemary. "Hey lovebirds, we can't stay here any longer. Try to find a bag or something and stuff it with medical supplies because we are leaving in a few minutes and we're probably going to need the supplies later." Jay explained before he turned on his feet and headed back over to Sam's bad. 'We're getting out of here, Sam" Jay whispered as he took the boy in his arms again and carried him towards the exit. "Come on, Kitty" Jay shouted out as he passed Cat on the way towards the back door.

Chris quickly scouted away from Rosemary with red cheeks, when Jay called them lovebirds. She stood up and quickly got to work gathering medical supplies. She found a backpack and was quickly feeling with medical supplies. Once she was finished she found Rosemary again and grabbed his hand after slipping the backpack over her shoulder. "Let's get out of here" Chris muttered as she followed closely behind Cat and Jay as they made their way to the exit.

Sam was awakened by a slight bumping. Fluttering his eye lids opened he blinked sleepily. It didn't take Sam long to realize he was being carried by someone. A smell lifted to his nose and he realized it was Jay. HIs faced flushed a deep pink. Sam made an audible gasp when he tried to move his broken arm.
Swearing under his breath he felt Jay look down at him.

Jay felt Sam move slightly but looked down at him when he made a slight gasp. Jay smiled down at Sam and noticed he was blushing slightly, which caused Jay to blush too. "Yea, try not to move it. I did what I could but I'm not a doctor so I don't know if it even helped." Jay stated as he readjusted his arms, which caused Sam's head to know be leaning against Jay's shoulder. Jay leaned his head down on top of Sam's. "Do you want me to put you down now that your awake?" Jay whispered, a smile forming on his lips.

Sam instinctively froze up. Clearing his throat he muttered.

"Sure...uhm...yes please...thanks. "

Sam blushed agin at the thought of jay caring enough to help him. Now hi face was crimson red.

Jay was a little disappointed to hear that Sam wanted down but he gently set Sam down on his feet. "If you ever get a little tired of walking, just ask and I'll carry you. Okay?" Jay exclaimed to Sam, a big smile on his face. When Jay noticed that Sam's face was crimson red, he chuckled a little and then asked in a teasing yet serious voice, "Do I make you nervous, Sam?"

Sam sighed and shook his head. He messed up and he felt embarrassed for it.

Jay smiled at Sam's stuttering and embarrassment. "if I make you that nervous, you can go hang out with your friends or maybe my sister" Jay stated, teasingly as he ruffled Sam's hair.

Sam smiled at jay and blushed when he felt jays fingers in his hair. Sam instinctively froze again and started to run his own fingers through his own hair.

Jay felt his cheeks redden a bit when he heard Sam's answer. He smiled as he moved his hand from Sam's hair to his cheek. "I love walking with you too" Jay stated with a smile. He then removed his hand from Sam's cheek and intertwined his fingers with Sam's.

Chris had a clear view of the scene that was going on in front of Cat and it made her happy. 'Never seen Sam that happy' Chris thought as she watched Jay intertwine his fingers with Sam's. "Just adorable" Chris muttered under her breath with a big smile.

Cat watched every little movement that happened between her brother and Sam and she was trying to not let it get to her. "Don't be jealous, Valerie. He will always love you" Cat heard Andi say in her head and Cat believed it and it made her less jealous. "Now all I need is a little romance and I probably wouldn't be as cranky" Cat murmured as she rolled her eyes.

Sam had never been this happy in his life. When jay took his hand SAMs heart exploded.

Suddenly Sam heard something distant. Clicking and slamming and-

"Guards" Sam said. Sam suddenly yanked away from jay and dodged a bullet. Swearing under his breath from the pain in his arm Sam realized he threw himself onto the floor. Another guard pulled up to shot Sam (Sam felt it) and Sam realized he had nowhere to go.

Jay felt Sam pull away from him before he heard the first bullet. Then Jay heard the second bullet and jumped in front of Sam before he could get shot. The bullet lodged itself in Jay's ribs. Jay pressed his hands to his stomach as he fell to his knees.

Chris had pulled Rosemary with her as she dodged the bullets that were shot and as she hid around a corner from the guards. When she heard another bullet and saw Jay go to his knees. "Noooooo" Chris screamed before she turned her blazing, golden eyes on the guards as Chris ran, she shifted into an invisible tiger and pounced on the guard that shot Sam. She tore into his throat with her teeth and then pulled back to attack the other guards.

Cat bolted around a corner to avoid the guards like Chris did but when she saw her brother get shot and then Chris go crazy with anger, Cat realized that one of them probably wouldn't make it out of here alive and Cat didn't want it to be Chris. Cat shifted into a tiger and quickly ran after Chris by following her scent. Cat caught Chris around the ruff of her neck and then began to run back to the others. Cat dodged many bullets but then two hit her in the back legs and Cat went skidding to the ground. She let go off Chris and then growled a "Go" to her before Cat shifted back to her human form because of the pain. She tried to drag herself backwards, away from the guards but the pain was too much. Cat felt something cool and hard being dropped in her lap and Cat looked down to find a gun.

Chris felt herself being grabbed by the neck and then being dragged away from the fight but then she skidded along the ground and was growled at. Chris turned and saw Cat, helpless with no legs. Chris felt sorry for Cat and knew she couldn't protect herself so she quickly ran for the closest gun, scooped it in her mouth and then dropped it in Cat's lap. She then ran back to the other's shifted back to a human and then went over to Jay. "Jay, I know you can stand. Don't give up on us. You are going to get through this" Chris sobbed, quietly as she wrapped Jay's arm around her shoulders and struggled to help pull him to his feet.

When Sam realized jay had been shot pure anger flooded through him. Standing up he couldn't control his power. He changed to the worst thing he could think of and soon it began a blood bath. For a few seconds he changed back to himself and grabbed a gun. After shooting a few guards Sam couldn't stop from changing into another creature. Bullets were flying at Sam.

Soon at the guards were killed. Sam changed back to himself and collapsed on the floor on his back. Suddenly he began coughing up blood. He let his head roll to the side to look at jay.

Jay struggled to his feet but he was eventually able to stand and walk on his two feet. Jay looked around for Sam and saw him on the ground, looking at him with blood coating his lips. Jay tugged on Chris's arm. "Go help Sam. I can stand and walk on my own" Jay stated as he still held pressure to his stomach with his hands. Jay moved his eyes away from Sam because staring at his helpless form anymore would have caused Jay to let it all go and probably cry til his last breath. When Jay had moved his eyes from Sam, he saw his sister with a gun and her legs were bleeding badly. As Jay approached her, her fierce yellow eyes were turned on him and she let out a cry.

Chris looked up at Jay with concerned eyes after he told her to go help Sam but she turned her concerned eyes on Sam and made her way to him. "It's okay, Sam. Jay's alright. He just needs to be bandaged up and he'll be good as new" Chris whispered to Sam as she wrapped Sam's arm around her shoulder and pulled him up with her.

Cat had held her yellow eyes on all the guards as they ran towards them but what she didn't expect was to see Sam get so angry and then kill all of the guards it not that long of a period of time. Cat felt someone approaching her from behind and when she turned and saw her brother she let out a cry of happiness. "Jay, your alright" Cat stated as she tried to stand only to remember she couldn't and that brought tears to her eyes. "But I'm not alright" Cat added as she stared at her blood soaked pants and then Cat let her tears fall. "Jay, I'm just holding you guys back. Just leave me. I'll be okay" Cat stated as she turned her tearful eyes on Jay.

Jay felt his heart squeeze with pain at the sight of his helpless sister. "I don't care if your holding us back, your a part of this group and you're coming with us" Jay exclaimed as he leaned down and helped his sister up. "Just spread some saliva on your wounds and they'll be good as new" Jay reassured her as he basically dragged her to the others.

Cat listened to her brother and thats when she remembered that she could just lick her wounds. She made Jay stop and then she spit in her hand and laid her palm on one of her leg wounds. It burned for about 1 minute as it healed and about 10 minutes after it had healed. Then Cat did the same thing to her other wound but the burning lasted a lot longer and she had to clench her teeth and close her eyes to stop from screaming. Once the healing was down she pulled away from her brother and then looked down at his blood soaked shirt and paling by the minute face. "Jay, stay with me. Don't fall out on us now." Cat exclaimed as she held her hands to Jay's cheeks and made him look at her. "Sam needs you here. I need you here. All of us need you here so please just stay with us a little bit longer" Cat whispered as her eyes began to water with tears.

Jay wanted to cry with his sister but he was so tired. Jay knew he had to stay so he fought the tiredness as best he could and nodded at his sister. He watched her smile and then grab the medicine bag from Chris. Jay felt his eyes growing heavy as his sister began to pull the bullet from his ribs and he struggled to keep them open. He heard her say something as she began to sew up his stomach but her voice sounded like it was underwater. Then Jay felt himself sway and then begin to fall as he lost to the tiredness inside him.

Cat had just finished sewing Jay up when he began to sway and then just fall. She caught his head in her lap before it could hit the ground. She held his cheeks in her hands as her tears began to fall. "Jay" Cat sobbed as she stared at his pale face.

Chris wanted to run over to Jay and cry her eyes out but she was supporting Sam and she didn't want him to fall. 'He'll make it. He has to' Chris thought as she blinked away tears.

Sam could feel ad hear everything that was going around him.

This is all my fault, he thought.

He had that bad habit of blaming himself for everything.bthe pain was fadin into a full throb when e fully blacked out. He began having nightmares. Now all his nightmares consisted of were his friends dying because of him.

Sam needed to save them.

Sam needed to go.

Still following Chris, Rosemary didn't know what to do first. His first thought was 'protect Chris', but she didn't seem to need any help right then. He then thought 'protect Sam', out of loyalty to his friend, but Rosemary was no doctor and knew nothing about blacking out and braking arms. Which also meant he couldn't help Jay, for sure.

His mind was filled with negative thoughts, appearing suddenly, and violently tearing away his hope for survival. "No, just leave me. I'm useless right now. I can't comfort anyone because I can't even comfort myself, and therefor I can't help physically or mentally.. Please. You're better off without me."

Waking up for Sam had never been more difficult. When he finally forced his eyes open he realized Chris was holding him up. There was still the sharp pain in his arms, and another sharper pain in his rib area. Because of this sharp pain, and because he didn't like the idea of causing Chris to help him, Sam pushed away from her. He collapsed to the ground and yelped out in pain.

Sam could feel something tearing inside of him, and soon he realized he was changing. Suddenly, he transformed into a snarling wolf. Growling at Chris, he bared his teeth. He let out an angry bark and turned around and began limping down the hall.

Down the hall, Sam could sense that there was a door to the outside. He easily slaughtered the guards at the door. As he limped outside he started to make it towards the woods. No guards seemed to following him, probably because they feared him so.

Inside the woods, Sam turned back into his weak self. Sam could feel his bandage for his broken arm was tattered. He could also feel a bullet lodged into his ribs. Sitting down on the forest floor, Sam slid his shirt off. He tied it in such a way on his arm to give it some support. Now addressing the bullet wound, Sam ripped some of his pant material off, he tied it around his chest. Clenching his teeth he fastened it tightly. Swearing under his breath, Sam began limping deeper into the woods.

Sam could feel the sun setting, and he shuddered at the chill in the air.

Rosemary backed away quickly as Sam turned into a wolf. He had pushed Chris, after all she had done to help him? That didn't sound like Sam at all. And the bullet wound, it wouldn't heal easily, would it? Could he do it alone? Rosemary strutted over to where Chris was standing, shocked. He had just killed all the guards at the door, without suffering one wound. "Chris," Rosemary started. "Is Sam okay now?" But he already knew the answer. "We need to find him." Then, he thought to himself, 'Stating the obvious. This is why I never realize what to do, why I never learn anything.'

Chris felt the presence of someone beside her and turned to see Rosemary. "Hey Rosemary" Chris stated, searching her mind for if he asked her a question or not. As she searched for the question, she remembered that just then Sam had left and no one knew where he was going. "Oh Jay's going to be so sad when he wakes up," Chris muttered as she looked over at Jay with his head still resting on Cat's knees. "We have to find him before Jay wakes up" Chris added but her voice was to low to hear but Cat heard her with her superhuman hearing.

As soon as Cat heard Chris's words, she realized Sam was gone and she began to shake her brother, frantically. "Jay, wake up. Wake up please" Cat chanted has she shook her brother, hoping he would just open his eyes.

Jay felt it took forever for him to open his eyes after he felt he was being shook and he heard a voice. He blinked the sleepiness from his eyes and saw his sister looking down at him with a sad smile. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Jay asked even though he had a feeling what the answer was. He quickly sat up and looked around for the one person that would make him feel better. Sam. But he wasn't with the others or any where else Jay searched. Jay scrambled to sit up and then he rushed over to Chris. He gripped her shoulders, hardly noticing he was holding them to tight and causing Chris pain. "Where did he go?" Jay asked as he searched her face for the answer before she answered.

Chris bit her lip as she held in a scream from how tightly he was holding her shoulders. She didn't know the answer so she kept her mouth shut but that only caused him to squeeze tighter. The pain in her shoulders caused her to bite her lip tighter until she tasted blood. When Chris didn't think he would let go, he did but he was forced to because Cat had pulled him off her and shoved him against a wall. Chris felt bruises forming on her shoulders and knew tears would soon be falling down her cheeks so she turned and quickly buried her face in Rosemary's chest.

Cat got angry at her brother as she held Chris's shoulders so tightly so she wrapped her hand around one of his biceps and rammed him into a wall. "You need to quick this helpless act and start acting like the man you are. I know you like this boy but that is no excuse for you acting childish." Cat muttered through clenched teeth as she gave Jay a hard look.

Jay ripped his arm away from his sister's grip and slid to the ground. He buried his face in his knees and buried his fingers in his hair as he let tears fall. He took calming, deep breaths and let himself run out of tears before he got up and decided to take action. "Let's go find Sam" Jay exclaimed in a strong voice even though his eyes were red, puffy and his heart ached to see Sam.

Rosemary watched the short show of Cat, Jay, and poor Chris. "Yeah. Help Sam, first." A while ago, he would have been trying to escape himself; here he was, with friends, trying to help another friend. A great friend. A heroic friend that he could trust. With his life, even. And with Chris. His.. Best friend? Second? He wasn't sure. Rosemary did know that they needed to find Sam, however. And he also knew he had a lot of flashbacks.

Chris pulled back from Rosemary's chest after her tears had dried up and she looked up into his face. "Rosemary, if I don't make it just know that I love you" Chris stated as she kissed Rosemary on the cheek before turning away from him and looking over at Jay. "You got a plan?" Chris asked him.

Jay looked over at Chris as she began to speak and he smiled because he knew he wasn't the only one that looked like crap. "Well I don't have a plan but I'll make one now." Jay stated as he turned to address his sister. "You can track his scent, right?" Jay asked as he took a step towards her.

Cat watched her brother and even though he was acting calm on the outside, his eyes showed a whole different story. He was panicking without Sam here and because of that Cat wondered just how long Jay had liked Sam. "I can track his scent but I would have to do it like right now before his scent gets to weak" Cat answered after she tried to hide the pity in her eyes for her brother.

Jay felt hope arise in his heart from his sister's words but it was just a little flame and the slightest thing could put it out. "Well go get to sniffing, Kitty" Jay exclaimed as he looked from his sister to Chris with an apologetic face. "I'm sorry, Chris. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just got lost in my sadness. I'm so so sorry" Jay exclaimed as he approached Chris one step at a time.

Cat quickly ran towards the door Sam exited and began to sniff around. Her human nose wasn't as good as her tiger nose so she shifted and began to sniff the ground and the air again. She caught a whiff of his scent in the wind and couldn't help but notice that it mostly smelt of blood. 'Oh dear, he might get an infection if that wound isn't treated' Cat thought as she slowly prowled towards Sam while following his scent.

Chris hesitated at first when Jay approached her but she quickly ran into his arm when she couldn't take the sadness in his voice and on his face. "Oh Jay, I forgive you but just don't do it again because next time I won't be as quick to forgive." Chris whispered to Jay as she tried to hug Jay without causing her shoulders to much pain.

Jay let out a grunt from the impact of Chris running into him but he ignored the pain and hugged Chris back. "Glad you forgive me now let's go find Sam" Jay stated as he gave Chris one last squeeze before pulling away and heading towards the exit door that Sam went through. He noticed that Cat had disappeared from sight but with his superhuman smelling he found her and he began to follow the scent.

Chris turned back towards Rosemary when Jay let go of her and she grabbed his hand. "Come on, Rosemary" Chris mumbled as she pulled him along with her and out the door and catching up to Jay.

Cat felt she was getting closer to Sam but as she felt she was getting closer, a chill rocked her body and she realized the sun was setting. 'Everyone will freeze. I need to find shelter after I find Sam' Cat thought as she trudged on and finally caught sight of Sam. She shifted back to her human form and slowly crept towards him. Cat passed a tree and stopped in front of Sam. She set her hands out, palms open and leveled her eyes with Sam's. "Sam, you have everyone worried sick especially Jay. Come on you have to see reason. Your little rib wound there will probably get infected if you won't let us help you. Please Sam just stay with me and wait for the others and then we can find some shelter away from this chill and get to some safety away from all this war and soldiers" Cat stated as she slowly approached Sam.

Sam had no idea where he was going. He was just walking. Quite honestly, his mind was somewhere else right now. He was in a dark place, he had caused so much pain and hurt.

He almost hadn't heard Cat, but soon he found himself snapping out of the trance he was in.

"Go away," he muttered. He continued walking, ingnoring the chill now setting in his body. After a few minutes, he realized she was still following him. He started getting filled with anger and sadness and fear. Growling he turned to her and changed into the same wolf he was before.

He growled at Cat and then turned and began running into the woods.

((Uhm I'd love to but I'm kinda worried that this RP will get forgotten, and this RP is awesome.))

Cat continued to follow Sam but when he turned into a wolf and snappednat her before running off, Cat felt herself shift into her tiger form and run after Sam. "You can't run away from your emotions" Cat growled out at Sam as she caught up to him and snapped at his flank. "Just stop now and it'll all be over" Cat sent telepathically to Sam before she jumped on him and tried her best to pin him to the ground.

Jay heard snarls and growls and feared for his sister's and Sam's lives so he forgot about Chris and Rosemary and ran towards the sounds. He came upon a scene if his sister as a tiger trying to pin a snarling Sam who was a wolf. "Please stop it you two. Please" Jay sobbed out once he finally realized the wolf was Sam.

Chris ran after Jay when he ran off, following the sounds of a fight like Jay was. She was still pulling Rosemary along by his hand.

Sam used all his power and flipped Cat over. Using all the energy he had left he ran away from the group. When he was far enough away from the group he changed back into his human form. Changing was making him weak and it show. It was paler and thinner and barely had the energy to walk. He realized that he had enough power to change once more but then after that he'd die.

Jay felt like curling up in a dark corner and dying when he watched Sam run off again. "SAM" Jay yelled as loud as he could before he took of running in the direction Sam ran off. As Jay ran, he didn't notice that he had reopened his stomach wound and was loosing a lot of blood but Jay just kept running like his life depended on and to Jay that's how it really felt. "Sam, please don't do this. I need you." Jay called out into the woods, hoping Sam would hear him.

Chris had finally caught up to Jay only to watch him run off again. She was about to go after him but Cat stopped her.

Once Cat was flipped onto her back because of Sam she shifted back to a human and then stood to brush herself off. Once she finished brushing herself off, she saw her brother run off after Sam and then Chris come out of nowhere with Rosemary. As Cat watched Chris, she noticed Chris began to start heading towards the direction Jay went but Cat stopped her. "Give him a minute" Cat muttered as she looked from Chris to the woods where Jay was somewhere.

Sam ((now human)) stumbled through the woods, weak. His sense were deteriorating and he kept stumbling into tree after tree. His arm was throbbing and his chest bandage was bleeding through. Suddenly he tripped and fell on the forest floor. Swearing under his breath he tried to get back up but couldn't get up the energy. Lying on the cold forest floor Sam cursed himself for being so stupid. He felt as though he needed to die.

Until now, Rosemary had willingly let Chris drag him by his hand. Now, he started to walk on his own again, off on the journey to Sam. He was still thinking of the small kiss Chris had planted on his cheek. Love? He knew nothing about love, not the slightest detail nor the basic description. The only thing he knew was that it was a feeling, and a feeling he was starting to feel for his friend.

Rosemary had seen the snarling wolf Sam, and he'd seen the weakness flashing through Sam's eyes. Sam was strong, Sam was a friend, Sam couldn't die. Rosemary, without a second thought, flew above the forest to see if anyone was near, besides Sam, of course. He then realised how stupid he'd been. 'Why didn't I think of this before?' He asked himself incredulously. He lowered himself back to the forest floor. "No one near," He stated his observation to Chris. "No one anywhere close besides Sam."

Then he thought, 'I hope.'
