Is it okay to trade pets between main and storage?

Is it okay to trade pets between main account and storage? This is my storage account and I was hoping it was okay to trade pets in order to store the pets here. Just want to make sure.

Thanks, I prefer to click with this account, but collect with my main. I found out that I can keep my pets alive through the food shop. Thank you for the help.
