@ninjagirl "Ullr is basically a rather large puppy... Who can shoot ice beams." That cracked me up. XD It's great!

I'm still deciding between Hecate or Athena.. Hmm..

@ninjagirl I like them both. XP I think I'll do Hecate. I can nickname my character Cate and she will have no idea about the whole avatar thing. XD Weird things will just happen to her.

@ninjagirl You go babs, Ullr is precious! =3

@spiritkoi
My character can be aware of the avatar thing going on, right? It's not just some teen having been born with divine power, right, because i'm off this bandwagon if we're doing that. ^^"
I thought this would be more of a gods-on-earth type of roleplay.

These powerful beings being sent down all like "why are we fighting for this ridiculous civilization? why are these gods here?" und so weiter.

@jupiter_hollow Oh ya, they can be aware. I'm just having mine not aware for later purposes. ^^

EDIT:

I just thought of a better idea that involves mine being aware. >8P Mhaha.

2nd EDIT:

Oh, and these avatars are fighting for the other gods in their pantheon to see which religion the humans will follow after the battle.

@poe Okay! I'm going to fill this in later too.

Name(same as god) :
Hecate (Cate)
Gender :
Female
Pantheon :
Greco-Roman
Avatar of the god/goddess :
Hecate
Power(related to what your god is) :
Hecate's main ability to distort the world around her to her liking and transform, but she can use other types of magic though all magic weakens her in her current form.
Personality :
Deceptive, cunning, and intelligent. All of these describe Cate, avatar of the goddess Hecate. When faced with a challenge she thinks of an unorthodox way to triumph and when confronted with an opponent Cate uses her brain to win. She does NOT want to disappear from existence, but doesn't want to fight for her own pantheon that has forced her to be their avatar, for they did not want to risk a more important deity.
Appearance :
Cate has long straight raven black hair, deep indigo eyes, and is quite pale. She stands at 5 feet and 6 inches although she can sometimes seem much more imposing depending on her mood. She wears a violet long sleeved v-neck shirt and black pants, along with a dark blue denim jacket. She sports no make-up as she thinks only girls aspiring to be Aphrodite/Venus would wear something so useless.
Other : She goes to a mortal school in Massachusetts and lives like a normal teenager, terrorizing the popular girls by turning them into rats, you know, the usual stuff.
Sample Paragraph :

@ninjagirl Eh? =3

Name: Krishna
Gender: Male
Pantheon: Hindu
Avatar of the god/goddess: Krishna
Power: Nothing too godly-- inhuman bodily functions. Enhanced strength, speed and agility, as well as talent in flute playing (Oh, how captivating a tune!). Possesses an alternative form, which has a few sets of arms and heads in addition.
Personality: He's a trickster and an all round playful thing. Incredibly affable, open and with a tendency to familiarity. Persistent in his pursuit of potential friends (mostly out of lack of anything better to do) but doesn't go out of his way to appeal to people in any way and is therefore rarely affected by rejection. Honest to a fault, which, despite being an enviable quality in general, can be a little too rash in his case. He's unaware of the modern day humans' moral code so his behaviour often deviates greatly from the norms. He has no concept of personal space, seeing as all share a patch of ground and a gulp of air. He's a herd animal and has taken himself as the granted shepherd of said herd. The fact that earth's herd oftentimes lacks unity and love breaks his heart. Doesn't take too well to humanity's inborn neuroticism or the seamlessness with which life passes nowadays. He takes life as a gift and is usually liberal with his opinions of what one does with theirs, but living creatures being dependant of inanimate objects is a concept that boggles his mind. He's a child at heart and makes fun and games of absolutely everything, even danger. If anything, one must make most of their life when it is still worry free, which refers mostly to children, which Krishna loves. Incredibly cunning in battle despite being so laid back. His agility stems from the relaxed state his body and mind are in constantly, which allows them to function extensively. Everything he is is based on his inability to give a crap about danger or opinions.
Appearance: A boy of medium stature, mature-looking and often equipped with a smile. He's visibly of arabic origin, judging by appearance, though his features are more exotic and 'fair', so to say. There are quite a lot of inconsistencies with Krishna's portrayals, since the deity is drawn looking western arabic, while his human incarnation holds resemblance to indian arabs. He's brown-skinned but light-eyed, with steretypically arabic almond eyes and a long, curved nose. A round face and full lips, pale green eyes with slightly drawn out outer edges and a deepened crease. An abundance of jewelry decorates a majority of his body parts. A wide hoop on his left nostril, connecting with the large hanging earring on his left ear through two gold chains; both ears adorned by many earrings, hoops and otherwise. The oil spill of ebony locks on his head is held up by gold hairclips, otherwise reaching the middle of his back. His clothes conform to his status as a powerful hindu deity and, as follows, don't fit present-day standards. He's made little effort to adapt to fashion trends and is therefore marginalized by the social majority. He presents the following sight: Long curly hair, medium dark skin, light eyes, gold everywhere, aggy pants with a typically arabic design (however much modernized, they still look old-fashioned), shoes and either a long vest, a shaul or neither. He's admittedly a looker in terms of body build - despite having gentle features, he's chiselled and properly muscled. The gold adornments accentuate his body, hanging off his wrists, ankles, his bellybutton, coiled in gold bracelets over his biceps and around his neck and waist as well. He has the Udharva Marka, which he is usually portrayed with, tattooed on his forehead.
http://oi61.tinypic.com/fcsd39.jpg - drawn appearance; I've yet to finish it.
Other: Carries a golden flute tucked in his belt.
Sample Paragraph: Later. Too tired now. Can I do the sample paragraph as an intro?

@spiritkoi Also, just to clear my confusion. Why would the Greco-Roman pantheon not want to risk more powerful deities for this fight, considering it determines which pantheon goes into power?

@jupiter_hollow If they lose the fight that means they would have lost one of thier more important gods like the main 12. After the battle the losing pantheons will have to follow the winning pantheon and they will still be known, but not worshipped. So the main 12, if they lost, would still want to be known and alive, not killed.

Intro as in what? The first paragraph in the RP?

@ninjagirl ily bby and so does Krishna =,D
@spiritkoi If it's about worship... Hinduism technically is still a thing xD 15 % of the world population worship the hindu pantheon so if it's about worship... To be perfectly honest, I assumed this would be a roleplay about the endgame of gods. Epic battles and the like, which would determine which pantheon comes into power. They would ultimately direct the fate of humans as well and, considering that, I'd think the pantheons would spare more resources for such a fight. Still, it's irrelevant now that all characters are set. I simply got taken aback by the 'other' section of the form.

Isn't Krishna pretty though =3 Anyone else want me to draw their characters? XD

@sporitkoi what? No. I didn't mean that. This is ridiculous. The battles should happen in the present day world. I meant something else but nevermind that. Let's leave it at the state it was before, yeah?

spiritkoi • 14 July 2014 at 3:25 PM

@poe Okay!

@jupiter_hollow Well, we're starting on the December 21, 2012. It's a normal day. Suddenly there is no more people and a voice (another god in your pantheon you choose) tells you to go to New York. You could meet up with other avatars before you get there or travel alone, depending on where your avatar lives and how they get there. You can form alliances, blah blah blah. If your character is on a different continent they can come with the help of the other gods or anything really.

@spiritkoi What? Why?

Why New York?

what?

I thought that this would be an RP about pantheons getting tired of human culture and realizing they need to do something about the people who have become incredibly incredibly selfish and conceited? and decide to send down to earth /amongst the people/ one of their own. Each pantheon. So first, they would see what life is with their own eyes but also through another perspective - a human's life. So they come down as humans and gather the info. all that crap. And based on that, the pantheon which wins would make a decision on what to do with the humans.

Everything else that was said to me is confusing me. I can't get my head around the idea of people dissappearing, new york being the gathering point (why always america dude? WHY? Like, why not Norway? Or India? Or Egypt? Or Greece? I mean nevermind that the whole thing is illogical but i have to question the location too. Just... boggles me man.) Also what boggles my mind. Why do they even become humans if there's gonna be no people. Why make them mortal when one can send down their immortal, allpowerful forms to wreck havoc on the human-less world as they please? I would understand why they are weak and mortal while amongst the humans - to cause less damage. But...

idk

maybe i misunderstood

Edit: Yeah I did misunderstand it. I didn't read the actual RP post. Ha xD in that case, spiritkoi, why did you make your character a schoolgirl...??? wut? i'm STILL confused.

@jupiter_hollow Humans mess in the affairs of the gods so they remove them for the battle. The first part of your first paragraph is kind of what I was trying to say but I'm really bad at describing what I'm saying. They want their religion to be the only religion with the losing ones merging with theirs. The gods are human since if they were immortal to battle it would drag on for an eternity. I made my character a schoolgirl since the avatars must live amongst humans.

@spiritkoi

No they don't. Furthermore, if we're starting off as the humas are being removed, then is it needed to clarify who was a schoolgirl and who wasn't?

Tell me what you want to happen in this roleplay. You obviously planned it for a reason and I want you to clarify so I can choose whether I want to be in it or not. This is obviously not about religion anymore. It's about powers. I came here anticipating writing about culture and religion and participating in meaningful fights between deities. Needles to say I've misinterpreted the point of this roleplay. Explain it to me.

@jupiter_hollow The gods do know which are human and which are avatars. What you said is the point of the RP.

jupiter_hollow • 17 July 2014 at 11:32 AM

@spiritkoi

Once again, you are missing the entire point. HOW do the humans interfere with the god's business. The only way they are interefering is by believing in some gods more than others but said gods are HUMAN now. They're not affected by humans as much as the next guy.

and I asked you what you want to happen in this rp. Not what is the point of the RP, because the point of the rp is impossible to distinguish.

There are two different, separate plots. in /one/ place. and you're claiming both are relevant. How do the gods sending avatars down to earth and the avatars suddenly going outside and it being the end of the world relate to each other?

I don't understand you dude. You said (I can quote) that we are going to start the roleplay with our characters going to new york and the world is without humans and completely in ruins and WHY is that necessary? It's like... it's gonna be one fight and this is over. And then you say that (as I said) the avatars being sent amongst humans is the point of the RP. BUT WE ARE SKIPPING THAT PART.

Basically what's happening is this has NOTHING to do with religion. And it's insulting to hinduism and the other three pantheons. You know what would've been cool? Making this about /culture/ and /religion/. NOT teenagers with superpowers. I don't understand why it's important for our characters to be 17 years old. I don't know if you're anticipating romance or someshit, but no. It's completely irrelevant and needless to say, a joke you're playing on religion.
