Hi all, I thought I'd make a quick little guide to feeding eggs faster. If you're used to feeding them one at a time and closing tabs without keyboard shortcuts, you'll find this helps cut down drastically on feeding time.

1. You will need to have shortcuts enabled in your browser for this to work. You'll want to start out from the user's homepage, and choose whatever list you want to feed.

2. From there, hold down the Ctrl key and click on as many eggs as you want to feed at a time. This will open the eggs in new tabs. I usually do 40 or so at a time, to prevent my browser from crashing.

3. Next, switch to the tab with the first egg you clicked on. The shortcut to close a tab is Ctrl+W, so hold down the Ctrl key while you click the feed button. Once you feed the egg, press the W key and it will close that tab and switch to the next one.

4. That's it! Enjoy faster feeding 😊

You won't need to move your cursor from the feed button to the x on the tab to close it anymore. I can easily go through 100 eggs in a minute this way! Please share this and ping your friends if it helped, and sorry for rehashing this if it is common knowledge, just thought I'd chuck my technique out there 😊

Yeah, it's good technique, I'm using it too)
And there were a lot guides about it during the Halloween bash 2012. But I haven't seen it recently, so may be this one will be helpful.

That doesn't work for everyone though. For me, eggs like that take forever to load because I have an old/slow computer. What I do instead is I have three tabs open to different users and go down the list with a 'feed' then 'next creature' then 'next tab'. With three, they almost always load when I'm ready for them. I can't match your numbers, but mine aren't terrible.

Just as a counter suggestion.

@horses4ever9147 It's probably your internet speed, it doesn't take much processing power to open up a new tab in a browser. While it may not work for you, it should work for the vast majority of users.

@ctrlaltdel It's better if you download an extension for chrome so you won't have to keep pressing ctrl 😸 also use the numbers of the keyboard to keep switching tabs, that way is faster. If i have good internet and my laptop is not slow (sometimes it gets slow) I can feed a cove of 300 creatures in 30 - 40 minutes, but with other laptops i do it faster because mine freezes a lot 😸

@horses4ever9147 I do that too when my computer starts getting slow!

@mejary I don't have to switch tabs because as soon as I feed one, I use Ctrl+W to close that tab and it switches to the next 😊

I use a very similar strategy. I hold down control, click on the first 20 eggs (what's shown without scrolling down), then I separate the tab that has the profile on it from the creatures so I don't close it. I do this three times, having three groups of twenty creatures up. Then I go through and feed all of them, pressing control, tab to move to the next tab. Then I can close out of the whole window without losing the profile tab. I get through 300 pet coves in under 10 minutes this way.

That's mainly what I do. I have an old, slow computer that can't do more than three tabs at a time.
