When you remove a travel from a pet do they disappear?

The reason I'm asking is because I removed 3 travels from 3 of my pets and thought they would go back into my inventory and they're not in there. I take it that they disappear when you remove them from a pet.

Yeah they just get deleted afterwards unfortunately :c
