Creature suggestion for Halloween: The Aleya

I've been waiting for a will-o-wisp creature for several years now. This Halloween I decided to not leave things to chance and have a go at it myself. So there it is: the Aleya.



Egg description:
The eggs of the Aleya are very small but still easy to spot. They hover a few centimeters above the ground and seem to be on fire. Despite their appearance, these eggs are quite cool and safe to touch.

Creature description:
The Aleya, also known as ghost light, appears mainly in swamps, where it is said to lead travellers to their doom. Despite the superstition, these creatures don't mean harm, they hover around at night gathering up methane and other flammable gasses to fuel their light, making it brighter for mating displays. It is also unlikely for arkians to follow an Aleya into a swamp because these creatures are quite well known and children are warned not to follow the lights from a young age. Recently arkians have come to appreciate the Aleya more and have started coming to the swamps at night for the sole purpose of viewing their lights floating above the swamp.

The fire of the Aleya is a mystery to science, it emits plenty of light and looks like a flame, but isn't very hot at all. The flame of an adult Aleya is only about 40 degrees Celsius. This makes them quite safe to keep in the house. Tame Aleya are often given to children who are afraid in the dark as a night light. Arkians often give their Aleya some extra methane each day to keep their light brighter.





Soooo... What do you guys think? 😊 I kinda want it in the cave permanently actually, despite it being a Halloween suggestion X3 I like it way too much to be retired 😉

Edit: Yeah, I voted on my own poll, so sue me 😋
Edit2: The flames are supposed to be translucent, if this is going to be used, give me a poke and I'll supply a psd file 😊

I think it should be released as an event pet! Also, the last stage should be in a lantern, it'd be mad cute and the second stage as the light on a candlestick! That'd be epic.

I'm glad you like it 😸 I thought about doing something with a lantern, but in the end I felt it'd be too much of a pokemon ripoff. Plus I've always imagined will-o-wisps to just be floating flames 😊

Its cute though, but I think you should do a purple egg, then a blue-purple 1st stage and blue last stage. Will-o-wisps are traditionally blue flame, but enough about suggestions! Great concept for a halloween creature, good job!

I'll try making the other colour scheme, I derped though and merged all layers, so it'll take me a while to get it done ._.
