when did you give up on AHS?

American horror story season 4 is almost here and so many people are excited.
Haven't watched one episode of any season?
Given up on the show?
Or still watching?

I gave up half way though season 3, I don't think I'll bother even starting season 4. 😋
The first season was great, then I think it just got lame.
Season 2 had too much in it... The plot could have been great, if they left out the aliens and got more to the point rather than add a new twist every episode.
Season 3 started off okay, but I didn't see the story line going anywhere insteresting.

What's everyone else think of it? 😊

I really enjoyed this show when it first came out!! and personally, I'm looking really forward to this new season. The whole creepy circus deal is like right up my ally. The sneak preview of the creepy clown is just so terrifying to me haha.

I too, stopped watching it after season one (and I didn't even finish the season :X). College and life just kind of got in the way. Plus I became obsessed with some other shows that sort of replaced it. But I do really want to watch this next season!

I liked season one and season two, albeit S2's confusing plot(s), they were good. I never got around to finishing S3, but I will definitely tune in for S4 since it is basically Jessica Lange's swan song for AHS (her last season). It definitely is set up to be fantastic with the chosen era and carnie theme, I just hope Murphy does it justice and keeps it authentic. I'm kind of over with the whole female empowerment aspect of AHS and hope its not overly-sassy like S3 because that threw me off. I'm all for power to the gals, but it was overkill on S3. They featured too much fem-domination and that was a lackluster tactic on Murphy's part. Lets get a good cast and kill off half the guys or make them retarded meat puppets/slaves half the season, lets do it.

S4 looks like a great cast with amazing talent, so I definitely will be watching it. It also seems like Murphy is swaying away from too much femme fatale and adding some S1 touches to it and I can dig it. Female leads with a strong ensemble not comprised of 90% females this time. Thats what made S1 and S2 great with its diverse story plots and did not go overboard with the female empowerment. Like I said already, S3 was complete overkill.... And half of the female ensemble was just sassy and blunt. Is that really female empowerment to Murphy because when I think strong females, I think headstrong and smart.

Only watched the first season...after what happened to them at the end I really couldn't fathom how they would continue the story.

@lucywithdiamonds the clown almost had me tempted to get back into the show. I'm a little bit interested in the plot, I can't see it going anywhere original... Hope it's a good season since it sounds like something you'd like. 😊

I think the female empowerment may have been what put me off season 3..
I think headstrong and smart too... It really did ruin it..

They started a new story. 😋
Each season is a new story with the same cast.
At first I was so annoyed about that, I wanted to know what would happen with that demon baby. But yeah, they wouldn't have been able to continue it too well...

Season 1 - like a house where if you die there, your ghost is still around it like you're alive, it has many other twists too, like who owned the house before the family it focuses on and stuff.

season 2 - it's set in asylum and I barely even know how to explain it it has that many twists.

season 3 - about a witches coven, I didn't really watch enough to get the whole plot.

season 4 - it's titles 'freak show' so it's gonna be based around that. 😋 😊

I'm a horror movie addict though, so nothing really scares me..
But I wouldn't say it's even slightly scary unless you really don't do well with horror 😊
