I have a headcannon that is important for my virus plotline.
When the people in that city had their DNA altered to make them faction people (I take it they coded their faction into their genetic makeup) that DNA was also modified and enhanced to withstand most viruses and bacteria - basically a bunch of illnesses would be abolished. For instance the DNA spiral would make the development of cancerous cells nore difficult and so on.

So not much medicine is needed. No vaccinations. Very few antibiotics. Analgesics though... now, analgesics are translated to painkillers. I agree with the antibiotics thing, but let's think about it. Analgesics - anyone can be in pain and though I don't think Dauntless would have any because they just don't wanna make it easy for themselves, other factions would. So consider all factions minus Dauntless and also think about how Abnegation would insist on receiving a smaller parcel. And in general, don't make medicine rare please, man, just think about stuff for a second. XD I get the need to make it interesting for your character, but... still. Considering the outline of the city and all the advanced technology in it, I doubt anyone would deny the factions their simple health rights by not supplying them with medicine. Some peolle do get sick xD

Like I said, if anyone had other ideas about it that's fine and I'll go with whatever. You just didn't make this suggestion at the start, so I made something up to start with. I can definitely roll with that headcannon. 😊

I just don't think like everyone has a large pile of medical supplies in their houses of the antibiotic and serious painkilling nature. So it would still be a little more difficult to get than walking home to grab a bottle or whatever and walking back. That's all. Though if you think everyone probably would have lots of painkillers and stuff, we can make that a thing, too.

@poe I'm simply against your initial idea of medicine being rare where you mentioned in Jules' post that analgesics and antibiotics were difficult to come by, which actually implies that the factions would have little to no medicine. Analgesics are basic medicine after all xD

I can't imagine that the only buildings in the city are faction buildings, but then again I haven't read the books... Can we take it that there are faction-neutral pharmacies? With Erudite workers, of course, but still XD

Sure. In the movies they don't really address the factionless much, and no one that's read the books is correcting us, so headcannons it is! The only thing I really know about the factionless is that they're equivalent to homeless in the movies. But I like the headcannon of having some abandoned buildings and stuff like we've already written that they inhabit.

So that all being said, I guess I'll go work on a post sometime this evening.

I feel inredibly comfortable having a whole group of people at my disposal since I've the only factionless character and I get to shape the community =3 so many possibilities.

We started right after closing ceremonies when we won the competition, which was 2:30pm. We went really late. Like. Everyone was a mess. Pretty sure one guy was puking by 5. So to anyone reading this, it is not recommended you do that.

Probably a good thing to wait. I'll eventually write something for Jules, too. He's not rich (headcannon that amity is basically a lot of sharing and caring), so I have to decide how he gets any helpful amount of drugs. 😋

Ya, I always have some corner of my mind irrationally shipping characters that would never get together but that I love as a pairing... And occasionally some that make sense...

Oddly enough, I am like this in real life too... Unabashedly shipping people I know... Only perhaps slightly more restrained... Wow... My online self really is just an amplified version of my real self... All of my ridiculous traits magnified into a spastic, high-energy matchmaking psycho with a confetti cannon...

I think I need a high-sugar carbonated beverage to drown out this unusually deep introspection I have going on here. My brain can't take it... XD
