Forum Monitors. >8D

Since there's been so much drama going on lately I thought maybe it's time the forums has monitors to make sure people are using the forums for what they were made for, not to be rude to people that have blocked them or create drama and cause people to quit. The people that are chosen to be monitors should be people that get on Eggcave daily and know all the rules. (I think Ian will pick the right people). When there is a topic that's causing drama or problems and making people uncomfortable the forum monitors should be able to "hide" the topic and stop people from posting on that certain topic until Ian is able to come online and deal with it. So when ever Ian is on a vacation or too busy to check the forums there won't be this big mess when he comes back. There should probably be about 10 monitors or so since there's many sections to the forums. 😊

But I like that. And they should be able to move the threads to the correct section if they're posted in the wrong spot ^^ Happens rather quite often

It's a good idea! (Except the fact that in many games, there have been a NUMEROUS amount of unfair/innocent freezings *coughneopetsandmaplestorycough*)

I'm pretty sure ian knows what goes on with the forums, afterall, he does own the site ;P And there's the "report user" button as always, if someone says something rude, or creates a rude topic, [its against the rules to do so] then im sure some sensible person would just ignore it, or report it. Just saying, its a great idea;)you'd also have to be old enough to have a job]

The report user button is fine with me. Even if we had mods would have instant powers to suspend? Some cases just have to be looked over by Ian. And have you noticed? It's been drama free for weeks now I think. Well it's just my opinion, if mods don't abuse their power, so if it's implemented, I don't think users are the best. Hire people and working out a schedule may be an option.

I think some monitors would be nice, but I also agree with Trish. Also because I see some people (not naming names) who always complain every time someone has one little slip-up, just hwne they're having fun. And if I was having fun tlaking with an ec user, and someone didn't like it, I would be absolutely angry if we got suspended. For doing what? Trust me, I've seen people who report every little move. *headdesk*

But yeah, some monitors would be nice, but not too extreme. And if someone's dooing something extremely bad, they can report and move on. No big deal

I like this. And so the moderators don't abuse their power (Which won't happen because most of us at EggCave are kind and modest anyways), to suspend someone 3-5 moderators would have to pass it (or a majority votes thing).

As for age, I don't think it should depend on age to be a moderator, they should just be able to clearly tell right from wrong and be able to help.

Thanks for this suggestion. We are on top of this right now. 😊 And we have yet to determine moderator policies yet, so I don't really have anything to add to this topic in that regard.

And yes I do receive pings... 😉
