"...So I hope you'll consider joining us." The man in the black suit sat before her in the brown reclining chair. Black tie, black glasses, black gloves, even. He smiled widely, flashing perfect white teeth. "This is mad," Skye said bitterly, "Each day, guess what I hear? Knock, knock, open up!" Skye spoke in a high-pitched voice, mocking the government of the aliens/mutants/whatevers accent. "Oh, would you consider joining us, dear? Would you please, everyone is so blah blah blah blah blah!" Skye snapped. "I am done with this junk." She spun around and walked out the doors. Skye looked back angrily. "Oof!" She bumped into someone and fell to the ground.

Alice looked down at her blankly. "Sorry, i was told to try and attempt to stop your departure this time, miss." Her issued outfit labeled her as one of the subjugated species in the caretaker occupation.

The man in black smiled. "We are past being polite, Dear. I am afraid I have to have Alice try to kidnap you now. Do try to forgive her, she was born into this life after all."

"N.. No! Stay away from me. You don't know what I'm capable of. Stay... Away..." Skye breathed heavily. She knew that she could take both of them, not easily, though. Skye felt her leopard form wanting to come out, but she kept it in, knowing that if she turned too early, she would run out of time and energy. She also knew that if she turned too late, she would be dead.

It was time to put her powers to the test.

Alice looked down at her. "Please come quietly." She said calmly. The grey haze over her eyes more apparent at this angle. "I don't want to hurt you, but if i don't catch you, ill be hurt." she explained, trying to calm her with her gestures.

Tears rose in Skye's eyes. She hated it when people were hurt because of her. Hopefully the jail had metal bars she could break out of with her claws... "Fine," she said quietly, baring her teeth at the man. "You'll regret this decision, sir..." Skye offered her hands to Alice, a signal that said, "Yeah, you can handcuff me."

@cutebirdy79 after this she becomes part of the resistance, but right now she's still a slave to the Alien army. Also, has Skye realized she's blind yet, or should alice just say it?

Alice grabbed her wrists firmly, pulling her to her feet, and then handcuffing her with zipties. She looked guilty, frowning slightly.

The man in black stood. "Really? I think taking you captive is far better than having the resistance getting their hands on you." He said, smirking. "Don't worry, your clones will serve us well."

The man laughed loudly. "To think, you were caught by a blind woman! Hilarious!" he said.

Alice slowed down slightly so Skye wouldn't stumble so much. "If it helps, the cloning process is painless. Every member has been cloned at least once in my district, and they all said it didn't hurt." she said, thinking it would sooth her.

Nalia was heading home after a resistance meeting but when she got to their designated meeting place, no one was there and it confused her. 'Was there hideout exposed or did something worse happen?' Nalia thought as she stepped into her neighborhood. It was a quiet neighborhood, must of her neighbors were aliens or humans and they were all friendly and some always waited for her to get home before even going back into their houses but today was different. No one was out on their porches and there were no kids playing in the streets, it was just an eerie silence. 'The Alien Army must be paying someone a visit' Nalia thought as she turned a corner and noticed a house door was open, which wasn't a normal thing in this neighborhood. She quickly but quietly crept towards the house, trying to get a clear view of what was going on without getting spotted. She peeked into one of the house's windows and found the house empty except for a lone bunny sniffing around the floor, looking hungry.

Nalia felt stupid for thinking that something evil was in this house. She crept around the house and stepped through the threshold of the front door. She stepped towards the bunny, only to stop after getting a closer look at it. It had blue fur with purple spots and when it looked up at Nalia, it had red eyes. "Your not a normal bunny" Nalia stated, even though it was obvious. The bunny began to hop towards Nalia and as it hopped forward, Nalia took a step back. Eventually she hit a wall and the bunny was getting closer. Nalia stared down at the bunny with terrified eyes and then she thought she heard the bunny laugh before running out the open front door. "OMG, that was so scary" Nalia breathed out as she held her hand to her chest and took deep breaths.

Nalia stepped out of the house after she get her heart rate under control. She looked up after a certain smell hit her nose and made her snarl. Nalia looked up to find some alien holding another, who looked like they were struggling and angry. "The Alien Army" Nalia growled under her breath as she began to walk towards the house, her walk defiant and angry.

Nalia just grew angrier once the man in black ordered her to return home. "Don't you dare order me around" Nalia growled as she bared her sharp teeth a the man, her tail flicking side to side clearly showing irritation. Nalia glanced over to the girl that wanted to be released and she tried to memorize her looks so if Nalia couldn't rescue her, that she could still go looking for her. "I thought your people were more refined than this" Nalia snarled as she narrowed her eyes at the man before her, her ears twitching signaling she was ready for a fight.

Skye looked back and made eye contact with Nalia. She tried to send a clear message with her eyes. The message was this:

Don't.
Don't try to save me.
Go home, I will be safe here.
I will join the Resistance in two hours.
If I am not there, please rescue me with your forces.

"We are, dear. She's just been resisting us for far too long, so we simply decided to clone her and then....dispose.....of the original material." He said, with a twisted grin. "Perhaps you would like to share her fate?" he asked, putting a hand on Alice's arm to stop her.

Alice stopped at once, turning towards Nalia. "Please don't get involved." she pleaded with her, silently terrified of the punishment she would soon get, knowing she hadn't had any combat training and probably would lose the fight.

Now! I thought to myself. No one was paying attention to me. I shapeshifted into snow leopard form and broke the cuffs of my paws. I swept out from under Alice and Nalia, sweeping them onto my back. Alarms blared and the building turned red. I extended my claws and smashed through a first story window. I ran as fast as I could with the two humanoids on my back through the city. I had spent numerous days in the slums when I was younger, exploring, mapping the city in my head. I ran into an abandoned, crumbling safehouse.
I shifted back into human form, dumping Alice and Nalia on the floor. "We'll be safe here, but not for long. Nalia, take us to your headquarters. I want to sign up."

Nalia didn't mind the fast pace of how this girl moved. It actually reminded her of the resistance because all they seemed to do was make rash decisions. Nalia looked around at her surroundings as the others conversed and she realized this was one of the resistance's safe houses. "We'll be okay here" Nalia muttered as she remembered that the resistance did hourly sweeps of their safe houses and knew they would find them soon.

I laughed. "Of course they don't, Alice. And you don't NEED to come with us, either. We're just giving you an option." I smiled at Nalia as she said they would be safe. "Of course we'll be safe here. And besides, when the Resistance comes, they'll accept me- er, us- with open arms."

Nalia smiled at Skye as she tried to recall the story of Squadron 11. She remembered the story, it was a classic story told to kids of resistance. Alice hopped down onto the floor and stared up at Skye ready for the story. "I know the story but I don't remember all the parts to it. Can you please tell us the story?" Nalia asked as she ran her fingers through her hair, taking out her braid and then redoing it again.

Skye smiled. She loved telling the story of her father. "Well," she began.

"In a land far, far away called Earth, there was a war going on. Aliens were trying to take over Washington D.C. in a nation called the United States. From there, they would take over Moscow in Russia and London in Europe. But a small group fought back, called the Resistance. And in that group, there were squadrons. There was a man there, a shapeshifter. A man who everyone looked up to. He led a squadron called Squadron 11. One day, he was captured. His squadron fought back, capturing one of the Alien's people. The Aliens said that they would, ah, 'exchange' people back. But on the bridge they were crossing, a sniper took out the man who led Squadron 11. A fight resumed. Everyone died, except one person."

"That person was me. I ran away, afraid from the harsh reality of this war. But this time, I'm not letting an opportunity slip by. I'm going to step up to my destiny and slap it in the face, and I'm gonna take down the aliens. I'm gonna lead my own squadron: Squadron X."

"Would you care to join me as my deputies?"
