How does creature trading work?
I just started playing this game, and have no idea how the trading works on this site (I've played other virtual pet games though, so Im sure I'll catch on quickly)

What sort of pets are popular? Which aren't?
Is there pets that are more valued than others?
What are the best pets to get from the Cave?

Also, do names make a difference in this game for a pet? Because in another game that I play, name is a HUGE thing. Like whether the pet is real name, real word, 4L, 3L etc or just very well named

What sort of pets are popular?
CSP (Cash Shop Park creatures) are popular. They are the ones you buy with real money. The older they are, they more they'll cost in value. Newer ones won't cost at much as say one from 2011.

But even some CSP creatures aren't that popular. The "in demand" ones will cost more. IE, when the Biwo came out it was in demand. But it's not too old of a creature. (Though it's a year old. From Jan. 2013) Now a Goldur (also from Jan. 2013) won't cost as much since it wasn't as in demand as the Biwo. -I hope that wasn't too confusing-

Which aren't?
Commons, cave monthlies, and recent LEs (Limited editions) Common cave creatures are easily available. Cave monthlies are also pretty common since they're available for a month and many people have them. Older ones will cost a little more, since they will slowly become less and less available. They die off and/or people don't trade them. Old LEs (especially popular ones) will be harder to get so they're more popular = costing more. But recently released ones = non popular/ easy to get.

CRWs (creature release week creatures) can be popular. Or not. Last years aren't to popular so they won't cost as much as older ones. A Sandrodon (from 2012) won't be as much as a Blobbart (2011)

Is there pets that are more valued than others?
Frozen and starred pets! Frozen pets will cost more since you have to pay real money for freezes. You can buy "stars" from the CSP OR you can get Starred common creatures. They will cost a little more than regular commons. (Usually 20k-50k)

What are the best pets to get from the Cave?
From the cave, LEs, monthlies, starred creatures, Terrons, and Mos! I've explained LEs, montlies, and stars so I'll explain the other two ;p

Terrons: they are only available at a certain time in the cave. 3:00AM to 3:10AM (Only ten minutes at 3AM Egg Cave Time/Eastern time) Pricing is usually 10k-100k depending on levels/travels/hatched/users

Mos: they aren't as common as the others. They can also appear as other creatures. IE, it'll show up as a Tasma and you click name it but when you go to the profile, it's a Mo! They usually go for 50k-300k (maybe more for greedy users. But any more than 300k IS an over offer.)

Names.
YES. Real life names and/or words can cost a lot depending on the user selling/buying. A good name or real word can cost the price to go up. Some people even buy names for CC. It honestly depends on the person buying/selling. A lot of users though will auction their names off for EC.

All in all, pricing will vary from user to user. Some users are greedy and will ask for a lot; others will be reasonable. If you have any value questions, or help you can also post on the forums for help. Users here are pretty helpful.
