The Experiment ~ A Pokémon Roleplay

Pokémon roleplays need more love, so I created one!

.:The Plot:.
Scientists have a laboratory on a deserted island. A laboratory that is secret from the rest of the world. In the laboratory, they are conducting what they call 'The Experiment.' They take a normal Pokémon, and change it. They fuse, colour-change or change the type of the Pokémon. Either ways, the Pokémon is different. There're testing new speices to see if they are good for battles. But there's a catch. The Pokémon they're using have been stolen from their trainers, kept in cages. You're one of those changed Pokémon. And along with a few others, you're trying to escape and get back to your trainers.

Original Species: Zorua
Changes that have been made:
- Vulpix head thing + tail
- Cyndaquil fire
- Swoobat wings
Type: Fire/Flying
Moves: Will-o-wisp, Attract, Lava Plume, Taunt
Ability: Illusion, though she can't turn into a Vulpix, Cyndaquil or a Swoobat. The pokemon she turns into will have the tail, head thing, fire and wings already fused
Personality: Kitsune is a shy Zorua, but loves to play tricks on the scientists. She usually turns into a Zoroark, then makes illusions around others to confuse them. Kitsune generally won't approach another pokemon if she doesn't know them or she knows they are a danger. When you gain her trust, she can open up more to you and play less tricks.

Name: Ballad
Gender: Male
Original Species: Gallade
Changes that have been made: The cape thing as a mega is now permanently there, although it serves no actual function other than appearance. Ballad also has strengthened psychic abilities but weakened physical power from his arms and blades.
Type: Psychic/Fighting
Moves: Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, Brick Break, Rain Dance (not original moveset)
Ability: Justified
Personality: Ballad is a kind Gallade, and often speaks in a formal manner to those he isn't familiar with. If he knows you well, he can start to speak in a very 'friend-like' way, with many slang words... sometimes that only he and his old Trainer were ever familiar with. He loves the company of others, and is generally a social person and a fun guy to be around. But that doesn't mean he is fierce and sacrificial in battle.
Appearance: (Possibly drawing his appearance, but right now he is a regular Gallade with many scars on his body and that cape thing he usually has as a mega.)
Other: Uhh...

Name: Hydra
Gender: Female
Original Species: Goodra (*fangirling intensifies*)
Changes that have been made: Hydra has been made into a shadow Pokemon, but doesn't really seem to have any advantages with this change other than those that can see aura, like Lucario or a machine, can get an unexpected surprise of a black aura. She has gained the wings of a Hydreigon, so can slightly fly.
Type: Dragon
Moves: Dragon Pulse, Thunder Punch, Poison Tail, Shadow Break

Ability: Gooey
Personality: Behind that adorable, gooey face is a shy but aggressive Goodra. It takes quite a good amount of time for Hydra to fully open up to someone, but when she does she's a good friend. At a rare moment, she can be a little selfish, but that's only the Shadow stuff taking over at that time.
Appearance: A Goodra with those Hydreigon wing things coming out of her back; the wings are the same colour as her body. (to be drawn maybe)
Other: Ballad and Hydra were captured and taken to this place at around the same time. Ballad is one of the only ones who knows about her shadowy secret.

1. It's fine if it wasn't the original moveset, Kitsune's moveset has also been changed.

2. Tis fine to have a move that she discovers later.

Name: Ardminta
Gender: female
Original Species: Rapidash
Changes that have been made: Her fire has been reversed into ice, and she has a pair of wings that make her a Pegasus. Her feathers are shards of diamond-like crystal, giving her the looks of an icy statue.
Type: ice?
Moves: Heal, Freeze ray, Blizzard and run-away.
Ability: Ability to turn herself into icy statue that can withstand a nuclear bomb. Her original one was flame body.
Personality: Kind, protective, secretive and lovable. Not easily hurt.
Appearance: imagine a rapidash with blue fire and crystal wings.
Other: Ardminta didn't mind being changed to much, and she wouldn't mind being restored to original form too much. She was about to become a stallierno anyway.

Gender: Female
Original Species: Altaria
Changes that have been made: She can fly super fast, as well as changing into a human.
Type: Dragon/Flying
Moves: Dragon pulse, Aerial ace, Hyper beam and Double team.
Ability: She can turn invisible for 10 minutes at a time
Personality: Cheerful, sarcastic, gets along with most people, although she tries her best not to mess with bullies
Appearance: A normal Altaria... but in Human Form: A bit shorter than shoulder-length brown hair, blue-grey eyes, actually quite pretty (but doesn't care about it), short for her age (or it looks like it). Usually wearing t-shirt and shorts, or super-casual.
Other: When she's in human form, she can also fly, though she gets tired easily. Although very good at flying when she's a Pokemon, she can't swim (in human form).

Gender: (none)
Original Species: metagross
Changes that have been made: had brain replaced with remote controller which just makes it a zombie prison guard. Has eight legs instead of four, and able to spin webs like a spider.
Type: steel,psychic
Moves: eight-punch, tackle, tangle, cobweb stick.
Ability: light metal
Personality: none. The Metagross is just a zombie-like prison guard with nothing in mind other than to stop it's captives from escaping.
Appearance: Like a normal metagross, only bigger and with eight legs.
Other: can be remote controled, if you can get a hold of the controlling tablet. When the tablet is switched off, The Metagross will automatically go to the door and tangle any pokemon that comes close or tries to escape.

Note: Metagross was once a normal pokemon, but was unfortunate to have it's brains removed and a machine put in it's place. The Metagross can no longer think for itself and has no more emotions. It cannot feel pain either.

Ballad sighed. He was currently in some kind of small colosseum-type room, with a substitute doll in front of him. Behind him were a group of scientists, testing to see if he was still at the top of his game when it came to battling. They called out commands, and the Gallade reluctantly followed.
"Ballad, Dazzling Gleam!"
Ballad released a dazzling white light from his body (never played 6th Gen, I'll describe the moves weird...), sending the doll in front of him backwards slightly.
"Seems as though we need to work on the power of that. It hardly went flying, stupid Gallade!"
"...Ugh, shut up..." Ballad muttered under his breath. They next ordered for him to use Brick Break, so he did so. He chopped at the doll with his small hand. The fact that it hardly did anything made him remember that his physical strength had been weakened. These 'tests' never seemed to end.

Ballad's test soon ended, though it seemed to be quite a long time. He was took to the corner of the room and kept there by a scientist. The other scientists next dragged in a Goodra; Hydra. Hydra bit at their hands and whacked their bodies with her tentacle things on her head as they dragged her in. She was never normally this violent to humans, the fact that she was now a Shadow Pokemon seemed to change her rather drastically. They brought in a new substitute doll for the Goodra to be tested on, and started to order her around.
"Poison Tail the doll!"
With an violent look to her face and eyes, the Goodra's tail glowed purple and she whacked the doll in the head. The head almost ripped apart from the body. Unlike Ballad, she seemed to enjoy the battling part of the tests too much. Other than that, she hated the tests.
(Poor Hydra... I feel sorry for her. The poor Shadow has no idea...) Ballad thought to himself as it seemed he was forced to watch. As Hydra was next ordered to use Dragon Pulse, he wanted to cover his eyes. The Goodra fired the blue-ish beam from her mouth, and the doll was almost ripped apart entirely.
(Are these guys making her into a fighting machine?! What will they do to me, then...?)

If the Pokemon aren't being experimented on, then they're in a room with small cages.

Around halfway through Hydra's test, Ballad was taken away by the scientist to the room he was forced to call home. He was stuffed into his cage and left alone. Well, not entirely alone. There must've been someone else in another cage. All he could think about was what Hydra was turning into thanks to the scientists. He and the Goodra were pretty close friends before she became a Shadow, now she's changed and a little less friendly than before. And she seemed to enjoy a violent battle more...
"Poor Hydra, huh..." he said out loud.

The doll had been ripped to shreds after the test. Hydra looked downwards at the stuffing and remains, while the scientists gave her a content look.
"Good, exactly what we expected from you. You're still at the top of your ga--"
The Goodra roared at the currently talking scientist, interrupting his praise. The 'Shadow Pokemon' part of her was taking over again. She hit him in the stomach with a Thunder Punch before being pounced on. Chains were locked onto her neck, arms and legs and she was muzzled by a dog muzzle. This was a normal scene for her. She didn't like it, but she also couldn't help it.
"Just... take her away..."
The group of scientists nodded, and walked the Goodra back to her cage. Ballad silently watched as the quiet room of cages was suddenly filled with the clatter of chains. The chains and muzzle were removed from Hydra and she was swiftly locked into her respective cage.
"...Hydra, are you alright?" Ballad eventually asked.
"...Yes..." she snarled in reply.
"Next test will be soon, I guess. I hope we are both ready for whatever they wish to do to us this time."

I nearly blacked out from tiredness as the scientist carried me to my cage. I was much too tired to try attack once they shoved me into the cage.
-Next scientist who comes,- I thought. -Will get a black face.- I turned around. My fur was slightly brushing the bars. I didn't want to interact with the other Pokemon. They looked too big and scary.

Hydra turned the other way, so her back faced Ballad and possibly Kitsune. Ballad sat down with his legs crossed, and his cape thing slightly poked out of the cage bars. Noticing how quiet it was, he wanted to make it a little more livelier.
"So, uhh... how were your days, you two....? Mine was good, I guess. ..."
"My day? What do you think my day was like? You sat and watched half of it," Hydra replied, a little unintentionally aggressive. "And I'm believing that you had a good day here. The only good thing is destroying their targets. Then you get locked in chains and are reminded that you're not here to enjoy yourself."
"... ...You... uhh... you are not so shy today, huh..."
Hydra growled as she heared footsteps, but it was only a passing scientist. Ballad sighed and shook his head, then turned his head to face Kitsune.
"So, uhh... your day, too. How was it?" The Gallade said with a slightly more friendlier tone to his voice.

I sat on a tree nearby, watching the 3 Pokemon converse awkwardly. Finally, deciding not to be bored anymore, I flew down and sat next to them.
"So what are your names?" I said, although I guess I must have scared them a bit, suddenly talking to them like that. "I'm Artemis."
I knew that a scientist was nearby, watching us all. Perhaps waiting for one of us to suddenly try to escape? However much I had tried for the past 6 years, it just couldn't work. They always caught me. So I'd decided to take a look at the bright side - at least I had somewhere to live. But there wasn't anything else good about this place.

He was fused with a Fearow, so his body has feathers (not wings) and he was also mixed a little with a Beedrill, instead of a star like design on the tip of his tail he has a spike like the Beedrill's hands but smaller.
Type:
Flying/Electric
Moves:
Electro ball, poison sting, sonic boom and body slam.
Ability:
His feathers can sharpen on command and the spike on his tail shoots out the electro ball.
Personality:
He is a stubborn Luxray, always insisting he is right and has a short temper and doesn't like to take 'no' for an answer. He is quite the loner and doesn't like to bond with anyone (at least not after being stolen from his trainer) and gives most Pokemon the cold shoulder. He has learned to ignore the pain of the constant experiments, that only multiplied his newfound hatred for humans.
Appearance:
He is a light brown Luxray, he is brown because of the feathers that coat his body. The feathers have a slight blue hue and a few of them are yellow, siginaling that he still had some Luxray blood left. His eyes are dark red, they glow at times. His mane is always spiked even when wet and when other Pokemon are near his feathers turn to spikes.
Other:
The humans have a shot that makes him unable to spike his feathers while they work on him.

You know those follow-you-everywhere ads? One seems to be disguising itself as one of those orange popup thingies you get at the bottom of IE with a message like 'this page crashed and had to be reloaded'. It seems to be attached to another one that says searching for escaping, and it supposedly requires "Media Player 12.2 update". Pfft.
I love these ads that pretend to be Windows and IE alerts despite you using a tablet. XD

Ballad sighed.
"Oh, really? I feel sorry for you."
He heard another voice, asking for their names. He looked to where the voice had come from, and saw an Altaria. The Gallade attempted to let out another smile.
"Nice to meet you, Artemis. My name is Ballad."
After some silence from the Goodra despite the fact that the could perfectly hear them, he continued on.
"...And that Goodra over there is Hydra."
Hydra slowly looked over to the watching scientist and let out a quiet gnarl. The scientist's eyes looked back over to the conversing Pokemon, feeling a little uncomfortable by Hydra. Ballad wanted to facepalm so much, but instead just let out yet another sigh.

Jase sighed at the sound of the other Pokemon. He yawned as he laid down with his back turned to the others. He was one of the calmer Pokemon, but got annoyed very easily, he hadn't made any friends sense he got here. He didn't plan on it anytime soon. He closed his crimson eyes as his feathers returned to their regular form. He had been one of the Pokemon that came here first, he seen many Pokemon go in those doors to the operating table, but only a few came back after their fourth or fifth journey. It wasn't something he feared. It was something he waited for, he waited for deaths cold embrace.

Changes that have been made: Streaks of silver (same places as red in mega evolution), spikes on tops of feet, small cape on back (similar to mega), and greater special attack stat.
Type: Steel/fighting
Moves: Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, Psychic
Ability: Inner Focus
Personality: Ela is very serious and tends not to keep to herself. She dislikes humans, though her trainer always has a special place in her heart. Even though she is serious though, she is kindhearted and wishes to befriend others, but she hasn't opened up yet.
Appearance: (just check changes) She has scars on her back from the constant experiments.
Other: She can speak the language of humans

Name: Athena
Gender: Female
Original Species: Absol
Changes that have been made: Looks like mega evolution, but every part of her (other than fur) is made of ice.
Type: Dark, Ice
Moves: Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Thunder Wave, Psychic
Ability: Justified
Personality: Kind of gloomy, always complaining about how cold she is.
Appearance: The ice she is made of shimmers a deep, aqua blue (just check changes for more
Other: Although she is ice, she is very swift and not as defensive as some might think.
