How does your egg earn clicks? Can I Click on my own egg?

Whenever someone clicks on your eggs, it counts as a click.
You may only click one creature per IP address.

Yes, you can click your own creatures.

Every day you can click any creature once from an IP address, that includes your own. So yes, you can click your own creatures, but it can only get you one click per creature per day 😊

@frostnite - Like the others have explained, a click is when a unique IP address clicks on your creature, including your own IP. So yes, this means you can give a click to your own creatures once a day. You can see the gained click when you refresh the page.
Just a little heads up, a click is only gained when the URL says 'click' instead of 'egg'. It can be hard to detect, but when you click on a creature it does go through this and redirects to 'egg', but when you have an URL directing to your creature through, say, a creature in a signature that says 'egg', it won't gain a click. Not sure if they've changed this, but I highly doubt it. So, if you want to gain clicks through a signature, replace egg with click.
