Will my freeze work?

If a creature has received a certain number of views/clicks/feeds it needs to evolve, but hasn't evolved yet because that happens at roughly 3 am, would freezing it work?

For example, if a creature needs 100 feeds and it got to, say, 120 in a day, hasn't evolved yet and you freeze it, would it be frozen in the stage it was with less than 100 feeds or in the stage it would be with more than 100 feeds?

Yes, the freeze will work as long as it's done before the site updates.
