Trading oh nooo

I usually don't check in with the creatures I trade away, but I just checked in on a new user I gave a couple of creatures to and they seem to have vanished, letting one of the creatures die!

It kinda breaks my heart because I thought those creatures were going to a good home (they even said they'd take care of them). They're pixels on a screen, but I'm sad. ;_;

On a related note: It really bothers me when people send me a friend request before asking to trade with me or asking for a creature. Just ask to trade with with me, don't pretend to want my friendship first! I promise it won't hurt your chances!

Do you all check in on the creatures you traded away? And am I the only one that gets those people who send friend requests before asking for a creature? >.>

Oh my, I think I might go on a rant here [Warning?]

I think I should have tagged all of my creatures when I gave them away. I don't even know where most of them are. (Some died, for sure, though .-.)

I use to "give away" creatures for newbies. And I don't mean I "dump a bunch of junk eggs" for them nor do I give them an exceedingly rare creatures. They were decent. Most of the newbies end up leaving and the creature die. Though, I'm not mad at them for leaving, but it does make you wince a little. After this, I ended up stop doing giveaways since I don't really see a point in it anymore.

On your second note, I believe I have a similar experience I can share (I'm still pretty baffled and dumbfounded by this, to be honest).

I created a lot that is specifically labeled "for a friend." A user had come up to me and asked for the lot. I clarified for him that the lot was a lot made for a friend. Hey, it could have been a misunderstanding, yeah?

He/She ended up sending a friend request right away. Hmm, maybe he/she she is just being friendly, accept.

He/She then, (stupefied) proceed to say, "Hey, now that we are friends now, can I have the lot?"

A bit off tangent, @_@
I noticed that, when I came back to eggcave the values of my creatures went up ('09 creatures), came back at ('12 or so). Suddenly, I had a bunch of people suddenly asking me for my creatures. tons of friend request, many people messaging me, being overly friendly, lots of promises, and people offered lots of help.

I was overwhelmed and left as quick as I joined.

Came back on '14, all creatures died. Creatures I have away were abandoned, traded away, or died (with about one or two exception, which I am thankful for).

With a bunch of noob eggs, people kind of look at you as you are "just there." I don't have any hand out I could give.

Long story "short"
I can't help notice that many people seem to flock to those newcomers who happens to buy CC or have some rare creatures and suddenly act "best friends" with them, only to go after their creatures later.

This is not always the case, but it's been my experience as well as my observation. (I had a couple of genuine people who actually helped me. Lots. o.o)

Oh my gosh, I can relate. I've given away a tooon of creatures (last year I gave away like 3 Amis) and I have no clue where most of them are. I just decided after this last incident to stop giving away creatures to people I don't know/people who are new.

And I don't have that many popular and rare creatures, but I've had people approach me with a friend request like 'hi, how are you' and then almost immediately be like 'so, is your __ uft? What about that name? Any creatures you don't want?' Lol. I imagine it's 10x worse for users with ultra cool creatures.

(ahh it sucks that you were basically ran from the site because of people like that.)

Huh, I understand you. Once I did a givaeway, giving out a Pahoehoe.
User, who were chosen with random number generator was old and has good cove. I had few rules, like don't trade this creature and keep my name on profile. They did everything wrong. Creature changed 3 owners, was dying... I'm trying to immortalise it now.
And I'm sure I won't do any more giveaways now.

I used to find newer players and give them assistance with trading and some things around the site. I still do that but I used to also give them some of my creatures to start off.
Let's just say it never went well and the users all didn't stay :/

i did it to i even gave a tawny away because it was her dream pet {i know stopit} and now the tawny is dead Q_Q i never checkt before bu for some reason i lookt in this users account every thing was gone exept the immortal harpis wat i gave to sadly alot of new players dont care abouth it and almost every thing that i gave away was or trade away {wille there promised me to give it back wene quick or dont like it} or dead and thanks to did i dont give any more

@mastergemma Yea, I'm not sure if any of the new users I talked to and gave creatures to have stuck around, lol. Kinda sad.

@kollais Wow, how rude. I'd be quite peeved if I did a giveaway and people just ignored the rules.

yea i know >_< from all the new users i gave some new cuty's are only 3 how kept there promise and 1 sort off {kept3/5}

now i only give to players i trust and were i know there really happy to get something and not ''o yea thnx'' i say always pixels or not i love them ❤️

@ladynymeria I used to talk with one girl.She was new and acted nice so I decided to give her dream creature.And she never talked with me after that.As second example I gave Heims to another person and fortunately saved her immortalising(payed for this) and she never talked with me too:'(

@darexxis Yea. That's why I think it's kind of a good thing that I don't really check in on old creatures because I love them and would be so sad to see they died or something.

but i need to say i got thanks to alot of users my cove to and im happy for that ❤️ but if i give agian that it wont be rare pets but the LE's from that month and a bit before
