What's the point of the Oasis? Does anything ever happen there?

Endangered species sometimes show up there for you to steal.
(I think).

It's really rare, though.

shelby is correct though so far only Drakomos have been re-released at the Oasis. I think they won't do the more recent ones like Unhemn, Kaihon Sorien until much later since they haven't been retired from the cave that long and I think the Drakomo was the 1st to be retired from the cave that was a common critter. And it happens very very rarely. The Thief Shop restocks much more than the Oasis.

I could be wrong, but I could have sworn I've seen someone with a Bunthoff egg (my memory may be wrong, but when I checked the date, it was recent). Who knows, maybe I looked at it wrong or remembered incorrectly. I probably looked at it wrong. /shrug/

I haven't been catching up with the Oasis lately.

Other than that, what everyone else said is correct. I'm also believed it restocks at a certain time, but it could be coincidence.
