Liria opened her eye, pulling out an earbud as she spotted the boy trying to talk to her. "Yes?" she asked, voice quiet and a bit difficult to hear if you weren't listening for it.

Carylinn watched as Tawny seemed to get upset, but she let her be, since her partner seemed to be trying to comfort her already. Before she had the chance to ask if Tawny was okay when class was dismissed, the girl with dirty-blonde hair took off in a rush. Carylinn felt kind of down. The only people she knew in Death City had left her to pack up alone. Carylinn wasn't going to let that bother her. She slung her worn bag over her shoulder and decided to make more friends. It wasn't like she had a clue where Requiem was right now, anyway. She looked around and nearby she saw a girl who looked a few years older than her, and probably very tall - though she was still sitting so Carylinn wasn't completely sure just how tall, with a lot of freckles. The older girl seemed like she might be a little distant, but perhaps she'd be nice enough. Carylinn herself didn't always look the picture of friendly with her heavy makeup and "punk" clothes, as her dad would tease her about."Hey," Carylinn casually approached the freckled girl. "So, what do you think of the class so far?"That seemed like a good conversation starter. Classes always were._______________________________________________________________"Heeey! Looks like you're as late as I am. Are you a weapon, or a meister?" Kal asked curiously, in his distinctly friendly manner."I'm Kal, by the way."_______________________________________________________________((Lol long post of nothing, you can skip to the bottom after this and catch a TL;DR of Requiem's business.))"That's a bit of a d-d-dark name." George mused, a stutter evident in his voice, but it wasn't for any particular reason. The casual manner as he moved over the stutter suggested it was commonplace in his speech. It was a confident stutter, despite the oxymoron. George stroked his messy beard.Requiem's lips turned slightly into an almost smile. "The little meister has quite the sense of humor.""Do you happen to know of any cheap places for sale?" Requiem figured he may as well ask. Old people often knew a lot because the happenings of the city were often their main preoccupation."Hm." George grunted as he pondered the question a moment, carefully considering it. "I th-th-think you might try your luck on this old building not t-t-t-too far from here..."After getting a few details, Requiem thanked George and left the store, the violin still on his mind. It really was a shame he needed every penny he'd brought for a place to stay and food to eat.It didn't take long to get to the building. As George had described, it was a looking a little worse for wear. It was kind of charming in it's age, though; it had character. He wasn't sure Carylinn would feel the same, but George had also mentioned the place was plenty sound and not falling apart on the inside. Just old looking. Old looking would do fine in Requiem's books, and it would have to be fine with Carylinn. She wasn't the one with the money, anyway. There was a note on the door saying "come in", so with a caution learned from years of violence, he entered the building. The lights were on, and a middle-aged woman greeted him almost surprised."I heard this place is for sale. Am I wrong?" Requiem raised an elegant eyebrow with his question."Oh, yes! Yes it is!" The woman smiled cheerfully. "I was just surprised at the interest. No one has been looking for a fixer-upper..." She went on like she hadn't had someone to talk to in ages.Requiem gave as much attention as he could to both the two-storied building and the talkative woman. A talkative woman liked someone who was paying attention to her stories. He'd use that as a bargaining chip. He had plenty of bargaining tricks up his sleeves. The old walls might need new paint, but all the wood looked to be well-taken care of. Between stories, the woman mentioned the good qualities of the house, and the only thing that seemed wrong with it was the age. She said many of the old appliances would come with the house. Even better.Somehow, a couple hours later, Requiem had managed to make a payment on the old house. The woman was easy to negotiate with. He felt better having less money on hand. It was all money taken from his previous "employer". Requiem had been holding enough to raise suspicions.By now, Carylinn was probably out of class. She would enjoy the news of a new place to stay, even if she didn't like the place, it was better than a hotel. They agreed to meet in front of the Academy not terribly long from now. He had time to saunter there.((TL;DR: Requiem left a music store he got a job at, and bought a shabby little place for him and Carylinn to stay. Lol))

"Liria" She replied before pushing her jacket aside to reveal the tag reading Weapon.

Flame:I led Tawny round Death City, pointing out some of my favorite places until we eventually reached my house. I wasn't gonna try to make it sound grand, it was old. Very old. From the outside, the wood was painted white and black, the inside revealing walls of a light peachy colour. My green sofa was stretched out in the lounge which faced an empty bookshelf.Pictures hang on the walls and an oval table was in front of the sofa. The kitchen was plain, it had kitchenware and a table, four seats surrounding it, three of them never used.I walked in, Tawny behind me, and sat on the sofa, grinning at her."Well. You can hardly call this a great house but..." I shrugged."It's great..." she whispered.I looked up at her in surprise, my lips apart a little. She walked around and ran a finger against the wall. "Is there a room in which I can stay?""Oh yes, sorry." I said getting up. I lead her up the oak steps to the second door on the right. "This one.""Thank you." she said coming in and closing the door behind her with a smile. She's really not herself is she? Oh well, I'll let her get used to it for now.I walked into the first door on the left, which was my room and flopped on my bed, thinking.

Alyss turned at the voice beside her. "Not sure, but It's not bad." She said shrugging. "How do you feel about it?" She asked observing the girl before her.Alyss had seen her before, not for long but long enough to pick up the gist of this girl.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sebastian left the classroom before walking towards the gardens. He cut through, slipping between bushes and reached outside the campus. Running a hand through his hair he took off at a jog towards his house.

"Liria. Nice!" Kal repeated. He was stoked to meet a weapon. "How would you feel about teaming up? Your wavelength seems pretty good to me. I bet we could make a great team. Waddaya say?"Kal was only vaguely aware of the suddenness of his request. He was mostly just excited by the idea of teaming up with a weapon that has a good wavelength._______________________________________________________________"Seems all right to me. Might require a lot of studying. I haven't been that into studying before, to be honest." Carylinn shrugged, putting her hands in the pockets of her travel-worn jeans._______________________________________________________________Requiem began to hum idly as he walked down the street back toward the academy. The tune began as a few bits of colour, slowing stitching together like a quilt. A block later, he was humming a familiar song. Her favourite. It was blue as the sky and appeared just as expansive. Clouds seemed to paint themselves in with feathered sounds of soft white. He used to love it, too, until he noticed how cold the colour of the breeze was. How empty it is without the sun.The tall young man let the song die on the stagnant air of Death City. Back in the present, the desert sun was bright on the buildings still, and felt hot on his skin. He often wondered about the power of something that seemed as simple as a song.

She thought for a moment ~His wavelength is interesting to say the least, let's see if he's able to fight with a weapon of my style~ "Do you know how to wield a set of claws?" she asked, pushing off the wall she was leaning on.
poe • 17 April 2015 at 8:34 PM
"I usually go unarmed, so how hard can it be to move from fist fighting to fighting with claws, am I right?" Kal grinned like a child in a candy shop. "I'm a quick learner."
goodkaylin • 17 April 2015 at 9:07 PM
She chuckled seeing his expression, "Knowing how to fight before hand is usually a good idea" she said, cracked her knuckles. "Our wavelengths will match, so we'll see if our personalities match along the line. Wanna see my weapon form?" she asked, grinning.

Alyss nodded at the girl's words. "Never really studied before either, I just kinda went with what was happening. Didn't excel but didn't fail. Hoping I can do the same here." She explained."I'm Alyss by the way, you are?"

@goodkaylin @featherstar_stormclan(Sorry for adding pings... It's just been a while, so I figure the reminder would be helpful.)"Heck yeah!" Kal exclaimed. He was more than ready to learn something new and make a team to fight on behalf of the academy with._______________________________________________________________"Carylinn." Carylinn laughed, "I almost wish I'd done worse in class. The grades only encourage my laziness."_______________________________________________________________Requiem found himself on the edge of the tree-filled, grassy terrace. It overlooked the front of the academy and the city. He fluidly swung himself onto the low walled edge and sat to watch the world move slowly in the waning afternoon.

She stretched, cracking her back as she was enveloped in a dark, nearly blood red, light. She held her hand out for him as her form began to waver.
featherstar_stormclan • 27 April 2015 at 11:57 PM
"I can agree with you on that. I can't find effort for the life of me sometimes." Alyss said jokingly.

Kal extended his own hand to grab Liria's, and as he did, a deadly looking pair of claws enveloped his hands. The young man beamed at the sight of the three blades attached to the decorated metal around his hand."Oh man, this is so sick. You rock!" Kal exclaimed.______________________________________________________________"Well, maybe we'll just have to try to encourage each other, huh?" Carylinn suggested with a laugh. "I guess we better head out. We're the last ones in the classroom."
goodkaylin • 7 May 2015 at 11:03 AM
Liria chuckled softly from the claws, "People tend to have that reaction." After a bit she changed back, yawning as she did so.
