For your friend's party, a great thing to have is always streamers and typical party things. At my last party, I actually had a tub of fancy dress items (things like feather boas, tiaras, fairy wings, plastic hats etc). This may sound strange but everyone loved getting "dressed" up and posing for photos. We had young kids to 25 year olds loving it to bits.

I found it to be quite enjoyable and I know that everyone will remember it for a long time!
