Gathering the shards of the Amouretta {Sign Ups}

Okay so this roleplay is made by me and my sister @applefudge. It's based in Japan, in the Waring States Era. Oh and three other people can be in the modern day times when they find portals to the world and I will pick the most suitable characters for this. Thanx


Basically, 600 years ago from modern day now, the Feudal Era was swarming with demons and half-breeds, spiritual miko's and brave monks. Once, there lived a priestess/miko named Winter who was protecting a magical gemstone called the Amouretta. This gem had the ability to heal the sick and injured, resurrect the dead and increase one's power ten-fourth. All demons sought this magical gemstone but Winter was able to fight all of them away. That was before she met and fell in love with a half-demon. As time progressed, an evil demon began to get more powerful and eventually, the demon set a trap for the miko and half-demon which made them hate each other. Both of them "died" that day. Just before Winter died, she flung the Amouretta into a magical mirror carved into a Sacred Tree.
50 years later back in the modern times, a girl finds the Amouretta and she goes through the portal to the Feudal Era and meets the half-demon. When she frees him, an accident happens with the Amouretta and they are forced to work together in order to retrieve the gemstone. Along the way, they find many friends and also encounter many enemies.

Appearance: She has natural white curly hair and however hard she tries, it always springs back into delicate curls of unusual pure white locks which hang around her pale-skinned face. She has very unusual coloured eyes – dark blue around the pupil fading into ice blue and gradually fading to white. She ties her curls into a side ponytail of locks leaving two curled tangles of hair rippling down her shoulders. She wears her school uniform - a plain white long-sleeved t-shirt with a pale blue tie, pleated skirt and jacket. This is accompanied by a light blue satchel and blue shoes. Around her neck, Annelyia wears a shard of the Amouretta, a powerful gemstone that all the demons in this Era want. She only has half and I'll give you an image of what it looks like -

Personality: Although she was just a normal, modern girl, Annelyia is strangely unfazed by the horrors, violence, and death in the other dimension because of her strong spirit. Her heart is pure and kind, with it even being revealed that the only dark part that she ever had in her heart was her secret jealousy she had over Yoake's relationship and feelings towards Winter, but even this she eventually moves past.She was unforgiving of anyone who opposed her sense of justice, even when there was a large difference in power. Without waiting for someone to help her, she jumps into situations that sometimes put her in danger. However, she never learns her lesson. Annelyia's reckless courage is known to always be in full force.Because of her empathic, gentle heart, Annelyia never hesitated to help those in need of help. However perverse, of whatever race, tribe, or appearance they may be, she treated them all with warmth and respect. She was never afraid to voice her opinion on what's right and what's wrong, making her somewhat opinionated. Somewhere along the way, she broke the tension between herself and Yoake, who at the time was deeply wounded from the supposed betrayal he had suffered and trusted no one, being used to being alone. With her ability of making people feel accepted and at ease, she gained true friends. Yoake is poor at expressing himself without pride or gentle words, and Annelyia with her perception of Yoake's true feelings, interpreting his words is one of her important roles. Despite being exasperated with Yoake's rudeness and tactless words, she nevertheless learns to put up with it, especially when she learns of his more gentle side. Joy, sadness, welled-up rage... Annelyia's emotions are always rich. Even if she doesn't say a word, Anneliya's feelings are easy to read. Her honest, emotional expressions cause those around her to soften, even in tough situations, and they cause others to be honest as well. Annelyia has a weakness for anything cute, whether a demon or otherwise. Her volatile and wild emotions towards him can range from concern over him to relief at seeing Yoake safe to anger over his reckless behavior, and then burst out sobbing her mixed emotions.

Weapon { what you fight with when battling demons/ humans} : A katana sword called Tessiagen which is made from his father's fang. It has special modes and abilities which are shown in battle.
Appearance: He has silver long hair and violet eyes. Two white wolf ears poke from his head and he had a tail. He wears a black kimono and a necklace of subjugation hangs around his neck. He has very clawed hands and sharp fangs. When he turns human at a full moon, his hair turns black and his eyes go brown. Sometimes, his demon blood takes over and he has a red sclera with a dark blue pupil, his fangs sharpen and his claws extend. At this time he also has two violet streaks across his face. Oh and type beads of subjugation into images for the necklace.
Personality: A bid tsundre and is very protective. Not very honest and always changes the topic on most occasions. Even when his life is in danger, he refuses to back down. Enemies are taken aback by his unorthodox fighting style and he achieves victories greater than his abilities would suggest. Yoake is driven by a fierce, persistent determination to win and his guts in battle have proven to work in his favor. However, his volatile emotions can often turn into childish behavior and becomes tiresome to his friends. Yoake himself cannot control his tumultuous soul. Even if seriously wounded, the moment he detects the presence of those he must protect at all costs he would completely forget the pain. The overflow of his emotions goes beyond his body's limits. This is especially true when Annelyia is involved. Yoake is incredibly hotheaded and easy to upset, often striking out with his fists toward the source of his annoyance. He was even occasionally seen striking little kids if they bothered him. He is impatient by nature and can be very prideful, having much difficulty to admit he was wrong about something. The fact that Yoake loses his demon power on the night of the new moon is kept a secret. It is Yoake's policy, having lived through a cruel past, to believe he might be killed if he relaxes or lets his guard down. However, since meeting Annelyia and gaining friends who know of his secret, he opened his heart and forged bonds that allow him to entrust his life to others. Even with his friends beside him however, there is a certain anxiety inside of him that never disappeared and they quietly accepted this and him nevertheless.However, despite how cynical and asocial he outwardly behaves, the sides of himself that he reveals in casual moments exposes his good inner nature. He cannot hide his true feelings. Although his friends describe him as "easily deceived and honest to a fault" and "unable to understand the subtleties of the human spirit," his personality is difficult to dislike. Yoake is extremely susceptible to spells and trickery, and has a blunt, almost brutal honesty about most things, which is why he often seems to be rude and disrespectful to others. Despite his tough and insensitive exterior, he truly cares about his friends who are as good as family to him, for each of them, in their own way, saved him from his loneliness and vice-versa. He hates those that kill for fun and gladly rescues people in torment. He has realized that all life is equally important. He has a strong distaste for people who ostracize others for just being different, which he likens to his own lonely, miserable childhood. Fifty years ago, Yoake met Winter and began to develop intensely pure romantic feelings for her. By meeting Winter, Yoake learned the warmth of the human heart and became romantically attracted to her. Through a conspiracy, however, they were torn apart. When he learned that Winter had given her life to follow him in death, he vowed to never let another woman die again. Those feelings increased all the more for the one that looks like Winter; Annelyia being the modern reincarnation of Winter was utterly confusing to him and all he ever saw when he looked at her was Winter, however eventually this fades with time. Although scorned by a resurrected Winter in the beginning, feelings of romantic affection and remorse resurfaced inside of him. He was guilty of Winter's death and offered to die for Winter since he was the cause, but Annelyia stopped him.

I have one more character which is called Takibi. Takibi is 240 demon years old, she has jagged blue hair falling messily against her beautiful face. Her eyes are bright red and her skin is exceptionally pale. She is the oldest reincarnation of Kurai and follows her orders despite wanting to be free. She wears a kimono that is plain red and she accompanies this with two fans. These fans are equipped especially and they enable Takibi to control the wind. 😊 She is extra rebellious and wants to escape Kurai in any way.

I'm not that much into RP. I've done Vampires of the Masquerade in middle school, but that was a LONG time ago, and it was actually face to face with old friends. I'm not very sociable either. Inuyasha was an okay anime and I like Rumiko Takahshi's work immensely, I just feel it's a bit overplayed =X

But, I hope you find more people and have fun with it ^__^

Question 1: do demons have to be the "bad guys" here?
Question 2: can demons be companions of humans?

He was born in a basic litter of six, the runt. He was always teased by his siblings and became a bit mischievous, playing pranks and jokes to get back at them. But one day, a large demon came and killed his family, he only narrowly escaped. His mother and father had been turned into fox skin scarves and his siblings turned into a fox skin rug. Everything scared him and he no longer trusts others, now his only hope is to collect enough jewel shards to avenge his family and destroy the demon responsible.

Appearance:

He has a more human appearance, as he gets older he will become a fully fledged fox demon. But as of now he wears a shirt and pants with a small tail sticking out the back. He has silver hair (he is a silver fox) and its tied up in a puffy ponytail. He has two sharp k-9 teeth and bright green eyes.

Personality:

He is clever and mischievous, never failing to find someone to prank. He has a few anger issues but overcomes them usually. When he does get angry his body becomes red and he plays his meanest trick... I can't tell you now, but if you anger him you'll see.

She never talks about it. All she lets anyone know is her family was slaughtered and she devoted her life to hunting ad killing demons.

Appearance:

She has long black hair that is always pulled up in a ponytail and is accompanied by a set of bangs and grey eyes, her skin is pale and she is always dressed in a suit of black armor. She has a set of bow and arrows around her back and a Tessen (if you didn't know it is basically a iron fan that when closed comes to a sharpened point like a dagger) clasped to her side. Kyoki is about 5"5 and weighs around 126.

Personality:

She is calm and collected but is stubborn to a fault. When she knows she's wrong she still insists she's right. She sometimes can be foolhearty and usually gets annoyed easily, especially by demons. She really can't stand them.

Pets:

A twin tailed cat named Vixxie who can transform into different sizes, her largest size gives her sharp long white fangs and allows her to fly.

Looks: Her eyes are lighter with blue around the edges and dark blue in the middle and her skin is a more dark tone than Annelyia's. Her brilliant white hair is longer and she lets it down mostly so that it hangs and blows in the wind in curls. She wears a white kimono with dark blue trousers and she has a dark blue bow in her hair.
Personality: Winter was always known as a compassionate woman. Kind, caring, and considerate, she was very sympathetic toward everyone, even her enemies. This was seen when she tended to Kurai's well-being despite her being a bandit. She also had compassion and sympathy toward Yoake. She poured out her soul to anyone in need of help, even after her resurrection. Winter was also very good with children during her lifetime; no matter what village she went to, the children were always fond of her. However, Winter, after her resurrection, was not always as kind as she once was. She had developed a new-found hatred that she never had when she was alive. At first, she wanted revenge on Yoake, believing him to be her murderer. However, she eventually found out the truth and turned her hatred toward Kurai. Slowly, she started to become more like her former self. Winter was a very wise woman for her age, and quite deceptive. Winter devised cunning plans to destroy Kurai, although she went about it in strange ways. For a time, Winter seemed to be on Kurai's side since she handed her Annelyia's Amouretta shards, to which this action caused Yoake to accuse Winter of betrayal. However, she explained that she gave her the shards to cast Kurai toward death and that she would never allow her to take Kurai's life. She wanted revenge just as much as he did and desired to end Kurai's life. After Winter's resurrection, she developed a strong attachment to life that she didn't have when she was alive. Refusing to die alone, she decided she would take Yoake with her to (opposite of heaven). However, this goal eventually faded as she learned more about the circumstances behind her death. Winter's feelings for Yoake were complex and strained. At first, Winter's pure love for him turned to deep hatred (although deep down, part of her still loved him). As the time progressed, Winter's hateful feelings toward Yoake disappeared. Although Winter and Yoake's feelings were mutual, their relationship was awkward and strained because of Annelyia, her 20th century reincarnation. Winter was well aware of Annelyia's love for Yoake (as well as his for Annelyia), and the situation did not sit well with her. Because of this, Winter was jealous of Annelyia, believing that she was replacing her, and as a result, was not very fond of her. Despite her hidden discomfort over this, Winter came to accept the fact that Annelyia was taking her place in this world and would go as far as to protect Annelyia since Yoake would be heartbroken if she died.
Family: Yumi her younger sister who became priestess after Winters death and her parents were unknown.
Past: Winter was a priestess who protected the Amouretta with her life. When she first met Yoake, he desired the gemstone and even wished to kill Winter for it but she stopped him. As time passed, Winter never killed Yoake and their many meetings resulted in a relationship one could only dream of. Then one day, without realizing it, both Winter and Yoake fell into Kurai's trap and hated one another, Winter sealing Yoake with a sword and then dying of the wound inflicted upon her by Kurai disguised as Yoake. When a part of Annelyia's soul was given to Winter, she became a living mortal, her body molded from mud and bones. This Winter wanted Yoake dead and Annelyia out of the way. She tried many times but Yoake's love for Annelyia and her's for him made sure that neither of then were killed. As time progressed, Winter accepted Annelyia but she was still jealous towards her.

Age: 227 in demon years 17-ish in human years
Species : Wolf demon (leader of the Wolf-demon tribe in the Northern Mountains)
Weapon : Physical fighting is his best skill so he uses his claws or wolf friends when fighting instead of getting himself a sword
Past: He and his brother were once arguing with each other when they heard his brother's Mother crying and she said their Father was dead.

He has black hair and light blue eyes, quite tanned skin and he is quite tall. He wears armour and on top of this, the armour is black, not brown. His hair is usually tied up but it is longer than the hair in the photo.
Personality: Kuma is almost always completely straightforward and initially, he had no human feelings, such as sympathy or having concern for the weak. He changes his ways due to Annelyia for her acts of kindness. Gradually, he develops a sense of compassion towards humans due to his exposure to Yoake's party, mostly through Annelyia's influence. His attitude is mostly wild and he is only concerned with survival. Much like an actual wolf, he is keenly in tune with his instincts and will not hesitate to follow them (such as running away when the situation is not in his favor). Kuma is the young leader of the Wolf-Demon clan. He has complete trust in his comrades, and will always protect his pack regardless of the danger he faces on the front-lines. He will punish anyone that hurts his pack, regardless of who they are. However powerful an enemy may be, he will swear revenge. With his pride as a Wolf-Demon clan member, his conviction is unwavering. The relationship between Kuma and Yoake is sometimes that of collaborator. Since they met, they have been rivals for the love of Annelyia. They each realize the power of the other but refuse to admit it. It is just like a cat and dog relationship, but they grow to trust each other little by little. They pursue the same enemy, Kurai, and sometimes exchange information. In a serious crisis, they cooperate with each other. Kuma rarely makes battle plans. His actions are basically animalistic hit-or-miss. But he sometimes exhibits surprising strategies with his naturally sharp instincts. As long as he likes something, he is not concerned with the feelings of others. He simply proceeds in one direction. Kuma aggressively told Annelyia that she would be happy if she were with him. He approached Annelyia forcibly even though they had just met. His expression of love is pure and he goes to meet Annelyia wherever she may be. If a woman that he likes relies on him, he becomes elated, forgetting all about combat.

Family: His Mother is still alive and so is his younger half-demon brother Yoake. They had the same Dad but Yoake's Mother is a human and Kuma's Mother is a full demon
Crush/ Mate: He has a deep crush on Annelyia but she doesn't return his affections and besides, he already promised to marry another wolf demon from a different tribe called Meilia but eventually he ends up marring Aishitaia Brave.

Appearance: He may be a ninja, but he often dresses like a Buddhist monk to hide among civilians. He has other disguises as well. His robes are a dark grey, and they conceal all his weaponry. He shaves his head, has dark brown eyes, has an average skin tone for a Japanese person, and his features are gently angled. He is well muscled, though it is not apparent because of his robes. He also wears a straw hat like the ones you'd find on the google. 😉

Personality: Generally a calm and collected guy. He usually appears at ease by default. It takes a lot to get him to show anything else, because he has learned a great deal of patience. Kohi is calculating and not very trusting.

Family: He "left" his family very young to train under an old ninja who wished to pass on his skills to someone young, so Kohi doesn't remember them much. He sometimes even has to think hard to recall their names, his hometown, etc.

Weapon { what you fight with when battling demons/ humans} : He does carry a katana for his lazy days. He does make use of magic (mostly as an aid in combat for fun, because he definitely relishes causing harm to others), but can also take on his true demonic form to fight.

Past: He has a long history to go with his many years, so I'll probably make it up as I go along, if that's cool? The rp's antagonist doesn't like him because he's a rebel and does what he wants so they're at odds. XD He was also kept in a cage for a span of years a while back for his looks and voice and he was not happy about it.

Appearance: Really fiiiiine. His face is long and angled, a theme that follows through his appearance. His skin is like porcelain, but looks softer. His hair is long, straight and wispy. It's a pale but intense gold. He wears a barely-there smile most often on his delicate lips. His eyes are a pretty pale green. He has toned muscles, and isn't afraid of showing them off. All around he's a pretty thing. He wears one loose, plain (so as not to take away from his own beauty) robe in a blue-green with ivory edges. It slides off his right shoulder to show skin. He also wears loose pants underneath and sandals.

Personality: Others like to keep him around just for his looks, which totally feeds his vanity. He's mischievous and (almost) really doesn't care about anything. He's laid back and can be sassy and rude. Pretty much acts like he can do whatever he wants, and does. He's also very charming when he's not being sassy or rude.

Pets: He has a great fondness for reptiles and may sometimes be seen carrying them around because he will pick up any and all reptiles he stumbles upon.

Appearance: Mai is a teenager of average height with brown eyes and long dark brown hair. She wears pink eyeshadow, and her long hair is usually tied loosely with a ribbon, though it is tied in a high ponytail when Mai is in combat. She is considered extremely pretty by many boys she encounters throughout the story, many of which attempt, and fail, to capture her for her beauty. There are 2 types of outfits that Mai often wears. Mai normally travels wearing a traditional woman's Kimono. Over this she wears a long skirt, most likely "Mo-bakama". Sometimes her weapon is seen being carried in this outfit. She completes her outfit with traditional woman's arm guards and leg guards, and straw sandals.
Her Demon Slayer outfit consists of a black skin-tight jump suit with a kanji written on her left shoulder that has a decided mainland flavor and Purple armor plates made of demon parts. Mai has a blue sash around her waist for decoration. She carries her weapon and a katana sword she also uses in battle.
Personality: Because she grew up and worked as a Demon Slayer, she has a strong sense of responsibility along with a brave heart. On the other hand, she has feminine emotions, weaknesses, and many human aspects. Consequently, her personality wavers depending on her feelings. Although she is a compassionate person, she displays a bit more of a no-nonsense attitude than Annelyia. Mai has great pride in being a Demon Slayer. Being independent and tough by nature, she does not like people helping her. Mai takes pride in her fighting skills and never lets an enemy escape once she has her sights on it. She fights aggressively and will confront any enemy bravely. She shows no mercy and has a very strong sense of obligation towards fulfilling her duties. Mai's fighting will is very strong, and once a fire is lit under her it is not easily doused. humans} : YggVeilund - A crimson bladed Wakizashi with a deformed golden hilt that looks as if it's crawling on the crimson blade.

Past: Being the first born of a rich family of Demon Slayers, Val had learned the way of the sword at a young age. His father died in a battle with some demons so he was entrusted to take care of his family and his village. Five years after his father died a group of demons attack the village and Val had to resort to using a weapon that he was told never to use except for emergency's. The YggVeilund. No one knew (except Val's father) that the sword
itself was cursed. Whoever touched it that was not of the bloodline Val's father would become so deformed that even the closest of them could not even recognized them. and those of his bloodline turned into a menacing bloodthirsty demon at night. since Val was deemed too dangerous to stay in his village. bearing no ill will, he set off to look for a cure for his curse, bringing the Yggveilund with him.

Appearance: Val has a Medium short dark brown hair, with blue-green eyes and almost tan skin. He has a soft yet strong looking jaw and jaw line that compliments the rest of his thin, strong body.


Clothing - He wears a nice but slightly tattered (mostly of his own doing) samurai kimono. He wears thin but strong plates of armor under his clothing. and carries another set of armor in a special hunter container.

Personality: Val is quite friendly to everyone he meets. He will try to protect those in need or dear to him, but sometimes his spoiled prideful nature show's through his kind, selfless attitude causing him to do things without negotiating.
sometimes he would rather just be in a woman's kimono and act like a girl than do some of the things he does.

Pets: a brown horse with a lovely black mane named Masami.

side note:
When val is angered or night comes crimson colored like marks appear on his face and body. His skin also turns into a reddish tan color when he is severely upset or night comes. as he is controlled by the demon of his sword.
