But I really don't want to. I'm trying to think this all out reasonalby, but I can't. please help me...

REASONS FOR QUITTING
my mom will stop calling me a video game junkie.
none of my creatures will (hopefully) die.
eggcave is a really big commitment. I'm only on on friday and the weekends, plus on the weekends I'm always traveling someplace. I can't get on!!!!!
I will have more time to devote myself to my writings, drawings, and studies.
my mom and I got into a real ugly fight when I "wasted" my money on a nym. really don't want more of those to sprout up.
I'm addicted.

REASONS NOT FOR QUITTING
I love eggcave!!
Eggcave is my only way to talk to some of my friends, and I really don't want to lose connection.
I seem to be brimming with newbie luck, according to my friend. don't really want to waste that.
I'm addicted.

If you can give me a truly compassionate, but logical reason for staying, I will. but I've thought this over for a long time, and I really don't think I'm going to be swayed...

Reasons why you shouldn't quit:

My mom and dad hate "games", but as long as I get good grades they're sort of unstable-y OK with it.

When someone quits, a whole parade of other people also quit ☹️ Like a chain reaction.

Maybe take a hiatus? Like give your close friends some of your eggs they can watch over and give em back when you are back 😊

Choose what's best, this may be a hard decision but maybe try and make eggcave easier by getting lots of EC to book your eggs and immortalize them. You don't have to quit. But it's not my decision. What ever you chose I hope you do what's best. Yes you have users on here that will miss you. Consider staying a lot of users are heart broken from quitting users. There have been many lately.

Eggcave has its ups and downs, but I'll try and provide a solution that will hopefully help you stay 😸

If you are playing long hours, and shouldn't, the best thing to do is just put your creatures in Tim's and check the asteroid, etc, and then just STOP. Try timing yourself so you don't end up spending hours and hours on eggcave 😋

If you're low on EC you can also put your eggs in Tim's for 1 day (feeding them all once covers this) and when they get down to about 30 happieness put them in for 1 day. Repeat.

Also, the matter of the Nym is opinion. I don't really believe in buying CC but that's just me. IF you enjoy it, then it's worth it to you. However your parents may think differantly. YOu can't change that :/

The most effective way to manage is to DOWNSIZE. It makes everything sooooooooo much easier (I had 100+ creatures awhile ago). Eggcave becomes a LOT less of a commitment with around 10-20 eggs. 😉

RL gets in the way, but no need to quit.
Bunch of users just come on 1-2 times a week, and they're "active" so you could do that too.

And stick to LE cave eggs then.

all of your points are good, but look at reason number one for pro quitting. my parents dislike ANY chatrooms they did not know about before I signed up. That includes eggcave. So every time I get on this thing i'm on it for, like, what, five minutes before I'm pulled off, which is not enough time to gather enough money for tims.

well, I fell in love with it, but didn't have any eggs worth trading for it back then, so I worked my butt off getting five bucks and they still get angry at me. And It's not just the site. I just can't get on for long enough, period. It doesn't feel right to me to long on for just five minutes and barely do anything...
