-*Rp Plot Smash*- Sailing the Abyss x Red in the Snow Revamps Planning

Being that my favorite Rps (Sailing the Abyss and Red in the Snow) have both died down, I figured why not slap them together sandwich style, cuz what can go wrong with sandwiches?!? You like plot synopsis', don't you Squidward? Well you're in luck, because here's one now B)

First off I'd like to tell you a little bit about the two RPs that are getting butchered and reassembled together for your RPing pleasure, it's a lot of stuff to cover, thus a lot of stuff for you to read! YAY FOR EDJAMACATION.

If ur liek nah I got my lazy pants on today, take them off, who needs pants?!? But for you, a brief summary: So like you and several other robust youth have been drugged, boxed up, and transported to a frozen wasteland to compete and ally with one another for survival. It's all part of some secret government project, but you wouldn't know. You had your freakin' memory wiped, HA! As if surviving freezing temperatures and other hormonal teenagers wasn't enough, there's also a group of superhumans out for blood called "The Hounds". Now I know it would be a pain in the butt to go to the discussion forum for RitS, so I'll just give you the hounds here:

Xavier "The Hawk" Storm - Scope Vision - Xavier is one of the deadliest hounds. He combines his scope vision with an assortment of firearms for shots with deadly accuracy from miles away.

Tsukai "The Invincible" Yongimori - Rapid Cellular Regeneration - Tsukai uses two serrated daggers to cut up his victims while they uselessly try to counter. Attacks used to still be painful to Tsukai, but he was trained to ignore it. He can only be killed if all of his cells are destroyed at once.

Calvarium "The Puppeteer" Lativus - Animation - Calvarium has the unique ability to give almost anything life. He often builds beasts from the snow in the harsh arctic area and animates them.

John "The Serpent" King - Venom - John can produce a highly toxic substance that can kill someone before they kit the ground. His specialty is throwing kunais laced with his special venom to fall foes instantly.

Sammael "The Blade" Fireborn - Foresight - Sammael is the harsh leader of the hounds. His foresight ability allows him to predict virtually any move his opponent is going to make. He sports a gigantic sword which he normally forces his foes to walk right into.

Bask in their glory, they'll be trying to kill you. Anyway, the subjects (RPers) also have special powers, but the little shoots don't know it because yeah no memory, so they have to rediscover themselves and beat all the odds to survive, how sweet 😸 KEEP IN MIND THIS IS NOT THE PLOT OF THE RP SHIP, yes I've decided to refer to the combination as a ship now, deal with it.

Now this baby right here took a lot of my hours, I worked pretty dang hard on it. Not that it's noticeable, as my story creation skills are mediocre at best. Enough babbling though, if you still haven't trailed away, I commend you for putting up with reading ALL THIS STUFF, I mean c'mon me, even I- er, you? wouldn't read all this, get it together.

Brief plot of StA:
A mysterious alien overlord decided he'll destroy Earth because he's like super bored. But, he also want to let some pitiful Earthlings escape, so that he may hunt down and kill them later, fun huh? You and the fam boarded a rocket and got the hell out of Dodge. You were presented with a portal that had a sustainable atmosphere around it. Since no vessels were allowed to pass through, you had to hop on out of that cozy rocket and float through the portal, that are get shot up by the alien waships gently encouraging you. Upon whipping through this portal, you are transported to one of five planets, chose by me 😃 To save you from having to delve into the StA forum to find the planet descriptions, have this:

Etervia - This planet is the most friendly and outgoing. Nature flourishes here and there is a race of smart, peacful aliens. They are the only other intelligent life in this solar system besides humans, possibly an old race called the Zestians (which obviously reside ono Zestia), and the unknown species of the original speaker. They are long flexible creatures that resemble humans. They are more evolved though. The only have three fingers and a thumb on each hand. Their skin is deeply tanned because of the planet's bright Moroshine. (can't say sunshine because the supportive star of this planet is the Moro, not the Sun xD)

Hybria - The most hostile and dangerous planet. Covered in advanced, carnivorous plants. The mammals aren't too friendly either, most of the being cat sized and rat like in feature. The planet gets the most moroshine out of all the other planets and it is raining more often than not.

Zestia - Zestia is a planet littered with the ruins of an ancient civilization. There is rumor that the creators of this civilization still exist. Nothing is now of their appearance, save drawing found in the ruins. The drawings display bulky creatures with four nimble arms clapsing daggers. Wearing robe-like clothing. They are colored a light shade of purple. It is known that the Zestians were highly advanced, their magnificent structures being home to many of the bird-like creatures that reside on Zestia. Zestia is mostly desert like in climate. It has many creatures that would be classified as birds and reptiles back on Earth.

Noxia - This planet is the farthest from Moro. Mostly dark with only a few hours of morolight each day. It has seven moons though. the creatures and plants of this planet have evolved to luminescence. The creatures produce bright colors. The planet is lit up by its vast, glowing plant life. Most of the planet's plants resemble ferns and foliage. The creatures are nocturnal and have nocturnal qualities.

Varnia - Varnia is the biggest of the planets. It is right in the middle of all the others. Unlike the other planets, Varnia doesn't rotate. Leaving half of it hot, around 80 - 105 degrees, and the other side cold 30 - 40 degrees. The equator of Varnia is a clash of hot and cold. Creating the perfect climate. Many creature live here, though most would die if they went to the wrong side of their planet.

Phew.

Now in this RP, you're being hunted down by the overlord's minions for sport. The minions are sort of like the hounds, but more DBZ-esque. Each one is assigned to a specific planet. Now I suppose you'd like their descriptions too:

Etervia - Mongrod ~ Mongrod is one of Vargin's five generals. He stands at seven and a half feet tall. He is of similar build to Vargin. He has silver hair that goes down to his lower back. His eyes are stony gray. He wears tight clothing and a weighed tunic that he takes off for battle. His weapon of choice is a short sword that he has used to fall entire armies.

Hybria - Zaralix ~ Zaralix is one of Vargin's five generals. He stands at nine feet tall. He is skinnier than Vargin. he has black hair that goes down to his upper back. His eyes are a glimmering shade of purple. He wears a black, sleek mask with a frowning face that contrasts vastly with his pale skin. He wears a suit that is very similar to an Earth suit with a dark purple flower. His weapon of choice is a staff with an elegant golden tip.

Zestia - Gond ~ Gond is one of Vargins five generals. He stands at seven and a half feet tall. He is by far the most broad and muscular at his race. He has glaring orange eyes. His hair is a dark red and it goes down to his hips. He wears no shirt, but has seven rusted chains wrapped around his torso. He wears black, baggy pants. Tribal tattoos adorn his face and torso. his weapon of choice is a monstrous mace with golden spikes. he has a deep, festered gash on his right cheek.

Noxia - Kralen ~ Kralen is one of Vargin's five generals. He is the brother of Garvlen. He stands at eight feet tall. He is the thinnest of all the generals. His eyes are a bright and vibrant green. He has light green hair that falls down to his waist. He wears all chainmail clothing and a dark green tunic. Rings adorn all of his fingers, each make of a different precious metal with a different gem. His weapon of choice is a jewel encrusted hatchet that he can thrown and wield in hand to hand combat.

Varnia - Garvlen ~ Garvlen is one of Vargin's five generals. He is the brother of Kralen. He stands at eight feet tall. He is broader than his brother with a build similar to Vargin. One of his eyes are a very light blue, and the other is a dark green. He has rich brown hair that he wears in a braid down to his hips. A golden choker is wrapped tightly around his throat. Black laced boots go up to his knees. He wears the same chainmail clothing as his brother, with a deep blue tunic. His weapons of choice are his jewel encrusted gauntlets which he used to smash in the skulls of many enemies.



Okay guys, DONOTPOSTPLS, like for cereal. Imma go log into a side so I can post EVEN MORE stuff, ha! I guess this RP is going to be literate for a reason, you have to be to get through all this mess. el oh el. Don't post yet though, for real.

If you guys are still with me here, we now need to ship these two RPs. We need to just smash em together to get something awesome. Like Night Claw (Batman x Wolverine, check it out).

Now whether by coincidence or fate, there are five Hounds and five Minions of the Overlord, as there are five planets. Perhaps we keep the planetary theme, throw a hound and a minion on each planet, and keep certain themes from RitS? Like maybe the participants have had their memory wiped and they wake up in a large ship hovering in front of the portal or something. Also, to make this more difficult and interesting, though guns were allowed in both of the original RPs, lets just not this time, no guns, sucka. Back to planning though.

Note that this is the planning post. Next shall come a discussion post that will contain character forms and a list of participants. After that, I'll make an actual topic for the RP.

Let's go over what we need. What we need most is a title that neatly wraps up the two RPs of which this one shall be based. Like obviously we can't use Red in the Abyss or Sailing the Snow, because that just sounds stupid, suggestions? We also need a little bit more plot depth and stuff like that.

Anyway, posting may commence! I was going to be all prude and say like "I'll only select top tier people who are better than you, so you'll probably not get in etc. etc." But hey, if you read all my stuff, you deserve to be in.

@plague In all honesty I would have loved to bring RitS back by just posting in the thread and then revamp Sailing the Abyss.

I've got the character Keira Iscariot in both roleplays, so I don't mind the smash, but I'd still wanna do strictly Red in the Snow's plot, even if it meant us two continuing it in a PM.

@plague Let's.

The two plots actually suit each other as we'll have the participants be a minority of superpowered people amongst the simple humans - there's the incentive to keep them and to erase their memory of earth life. Making colonies of humans in other planets would pay off in general, as human are smart and dutiful little things, but supernaturally gifted ones can be employed in more ways than one and their DNA can be pretty much harvested. I say make it so humanity was destroyed, because the OverLord or whatever though the dominant species on the planet is very much useless and even harmful to the planet itself and he/she is in no need of lifeforms that resemble in a manner himself/herself and his/her species. So OverLord decides on a way to rid the earth of its pesky main species and begins using Earth's plentiful goods as they remain unspoilt without human intervention - OverLord decides to keep a few humans and properly rebuild the species on his/her own terms.
First by ruling out the weak and testing whether human presence can be sustained on certain planets - some of the humans sent to extra uninhabitable planets wouldn't survive, for example. Only our characters, who have been sent to the designated listed planets survive due to existence of an atmosphere and water supply.
Assuming OverLord owns the planets, he/she doesn't want to faciliate human existence on those planets - quite the opposite, he/she wants to hinder it. Mediocrity is not an option and he/she makes sure it isn't. Hence the minions/hounds.

This is why every RP in production needs a Jupe, you just blew my mind. I mean a mind hand job would have sufficed, but whatever. That's like so perf. So Overlord wants to use the superhumans for his/her own purposes, but doesn't want little poesys running around on his/her planet. Thus he/she sends two of his/her most powerful generals to each planet to make sure the human scum residing there deserves to. Is that what you had in mind?

aw, hun, i'm blush.

It's very much like picking out the sickly and useless cattle and having it for dinner, yes.
Initially, after having hand-picked the survivors by hand, OverLord keeps them in a cataleptic state until they are transported to the designated planets, which are picked at random, or to suit their abilities, OR to completely clash with their power. Regardless, we need to think of what happens after the chosen have proven their worth or have made an escape - I have an intense desire to witness the former become brainwashed into becoming OverLord's new hounds after they've killed his/her old ones and fight against the latter. 😉
