What do items do

Is there a function for items such as books, foods, etc. other than increasing happiness?

I believe they can sometimes raise stats too.
Though, I've never really used items.

As of right now, items like the books and food can only increase happiness and sometimes stats (like clicks or feeds). Many users try to get them all because there is an item collection. While you get nothing for completing it, it is just something fun to do.

They are pretty rare to get increased stats. I'm not 100% sure on the chances.

@yam Also, whenever you use toys to play with your creature, they will sometimes break and become unusable.
