Nicole woke up but everything was still dark around her. She didn't understand, why couldn't she see. She pressed her hands to her face and found a silk cloth. 'Did I have surgery?' She thought as she removed the cloth but she still couldn't see. Tears began to fall down her cheeks and a chill formed around her. Then she felt something cold touch her palm, she reached out to stroke it. She guessed it was a lion by it's size and purr.

Nicole cried softly as she placed the cloth back over her eyes. She didn't want to be blind. The lion placed something in her palm and by the feel of it, she knew it was a leash. "So you're going to lead me around?" She sniffled softly before standing up. She smelt different things and had a feeling she was around a lot of people. "Go" she breathed to her lion before it began to lead her out of there. By the smell of food, she guessed they were heading to someplace with food. She smiled sadly at that and brushed a hand over her cheek and felt the tear trails. Nicole didn't bother brushing them away because she soon began to cry again. 'Where am I?' She cried into her head.

Victor woke up but didn't get up. He stared up at the ceiling and realized it wasn't his room's ceiling. When he sat up to look around the room, he realized he wasn't wearing his glasses and that he didn't need them. He was confused by all the people in the room but he noticed one empty bed. 'Must have been scared' Victor thought and he noticed a blue light leading outside. He stood up and touched it and soon heard a girl crying. It made him sad too and he pulled his hand back, stopping the crying but the sadness stayed with him.

He left the room and followed the blue light. He began to worry about this girl and he wanted to find her.

((He can see the blue light because he's an empath and it represents Nicole's sadness.))

Mavis opened her eyes. She realized that when she blinked her eyes, her right eye felt a little odd. Mavis waved her left hand in front of her face and her right eye couldn't sense anything. As a habit, she reached her right hand to tuck her hair behind her ear. When the metal of her new prosthetic arm skimmed her face, she flinched in surprise. She was also surprised that she barely had any hair to tuck back.

Mavis quickly inspected her surroundings. She was in an unfamiliar bed in a room with unfamiliar people. Mavis felt herself become a little panic. She saw two empty beds through further inspection. Mavis than inspected herself.

She tested her new arm by scrunching her fingers into a fist, than flexing them back out. She repeated a couple time till she could in take the fact of this modification. Mavis reached to her head and ran her hand through her shorten hair. Mavis looked back at the room to see if there's anything reflective to inspect her right eye.

She slowly got out of bed. The first few steps she fumbled a little when her legs couldn't balance. Mavis took further steps toward the door and noticed her limbs felt very different. She continued to figure out this new feeling of her joints but was interrupted when she ran herself into the right side of the door frame.

Rei woke up and immediately groaned. Everything hurt like the devil, worst of all his head and back. Rei closed his eyes and waited for the pain to go away, but when it didn't, he got up anyway, his body screaming in objection. When his head was finally clear enough to see and think, he saw his predicament. As the oldest of nine siblings, Rei learned that quiet was not a good sign. His siblings! Rei's eyes lit up as he ran, calling for them. This was not home, and he had no idea where any of them were.

Kylee woke up, and wished she hadn't. The world was a great glob of fuzzy colors. She sat up and looked north to-wait? North? How is that north, and how do I know that? Kylee closed her eyes to let things sink in. The last thing she remembered was her oldest brother teasing her about the way she caught her fish, and then her exhaustion getting the better of her as she sat down in his lap. The thought that this wasn't the same place, probably with not even the same people, brought silent tears to her eyes. She opened them, and the room was still filled with fuzzy colors, but she could see them better now. She focused on the colors to drive the memory of her old life away.

Eyes still closed, Paige slowly began to regain consciousness after hearing several noises disturbing her sleep, or what she thought was sleep. Someone was crying, the sound fading, and footsteps almost immediately followed the crying. Then Paige heard a loud thud, causing her to snap open her eyes; a high, dull white ceiling greeted her as she stared up. Proping herself up by using her elbows, she was able to sit up and look around the unfamiliar room which was occupied by herself and other unfamiliar people.

Directing her attention to the door, she noticed a girl with a prosthetic arm crumpled on the ground to the right side of the door frame. "What's wrong with that girl. Er.. I mean I hope she's alright," Paige thought to herself. More awake than she was a few moments ago, Paige began feel pain become more prominent in her bones. Trying her best to stand up, she noticed she was way taller than before, sitting back down onto the bed after the pain became unbearable. "What the heck," she thought, looking at her new long limbs.

(Her bones hurt because of what the scientists did to lengthen her bones)

The first thing Rikard became aware of once he came to was the horrible buzzing similar to radio static that was resonating inside his skull. The noise was so intense it overshadowed all of the sounds that came from the world around him and he couldn't even form coherent thoughts until it subsided. He could bleakly remember walking home late in the even and feeling dizzy, having to lean against a building by the side of the road so not to fall over. It was logical to think he'd simply lost consciousness and was now waking up but Rikard was certain something more serious had happened.

Intense pain erupted throughout his body with every rise and fall of his chest and forced a strangled cry out of his throat. It made it all the more clear that this was not just another one of his fainting episodes and it frightened Rick. He suffered through more aches and pains as his eyes blinked open and he turned his head to look upwards but at the end of it he only found more reason to panic. Instead of the sky above the street he'd been on or the ceiling of the hospital he saw only darkness. With frantic, clumsy movements and a series of moans and small cries he propped himself up on his elbows and looked around, hoping to find some hint to where he was and what was happening. However all he could make out in the darkness was a line of light along the ground that crept in under the door.

Rick wasn't capable of standing up right away, it felt like his body wasn't his own and the unusual uneven mass he woke up on top of only made the process more difficult for him. Still after a few long minutes of struggling with his barely responsive limbs he was up and heading towards the door.

Fortunately Rikard wasn't locked in the room and as he pushed the door it swung open with ease granting him access to a long hallway. The neon light now above him burned his eyes and he covered them with a shaky hand for a moment and turned away. The area he'd just exited was illuminated by the light as well and he got a good view of what he'd been laying on top of. A chill ran down his spine and his features contorted in terror at the sight of it and he backed away quickly stumbling backwards into the hallway. He nearly fell down again but regained his balance and forced himself to run away despite the pain he still felt with every movement.

Alyss awoke with a jolt as she felt someone brush against her arm. She whipped her head to the side and found herself glaring at her brother Cole.

"Oh thank the spirits you're awake I thought they locked you in a stasis sleep." her brother breathed out smiling. "Oh, your eyes. They're not blue anymore."

Alyss glared at her brother. "Well neither are yours but you don't see me complaining. What color are they?" she snapped as she sat up. But glancing at her brother she realized he was staring at her confused. "What?!" she said, and was vaguely shocked when she realized no words left her mouth.

"They stole your voice." Cole gasped.

Rei tore through the halls to look for his siblings, or a way out, or some sign he wasn't dead, and stuck in this hell of endless halls, doors, and internal pain of both kinds. Every step was an eternity.
...
Rei gave in to the physical pain and slumped onto the floor in the middle of the hall, closing his eyes to hold back the tears. He was never getting out, never seeing his siblings again, maybe never even seeing another human being. Maybe something happened and this was a hospital, and the pain was him dying. In that case, his siblings were better off wherever they were...With that last though, Rei let his weight fall towards the wall, and ended up passing through it and hitting his head on the floor.

Kylee squeaked as some colorful fuzz covered person...passed...through...the solid wall...She stumbled under the bed with wild thoughts of demons and monsters swimming in her head. She went back and forth between the intruder and looking for a weapon, until her vision cleared enough for her to recognize her own brother, whereupon she helped him up and gave him three seconds to look at her before climbing onto his shoulders, giggling at the thought of him falling through a wall. He held tight to her, and she knew he would never let go if his new life depended on it. The thought of a 'new' life turned Kylee's giggles into sobs, and she buried her face in her new brother's hair.

"Shhh, everything is going to be okay. I've got you and we're gonna make things right."

Rei thought about what he just said, and the likelihood any of it would ever be true. His first step was to get the out of there. He inspected the wall he came through, and decided it was a solid wall, and he passed through it. He didn't know if Kylee would be able to come with him, but Rei figured it was worth a shot. He gathered up his thoughts, and ran into the wall. This sent Kylee into a mixture of giggles and snorts, because she still had snot in her nose.

His next step was to try the door, which was locked from the outside, and stayed solid in Rei's presence. Drats. Kylee became silent, most likely thinking of a way out, but his promise to her drove him to keep looking, until one of the walls melted with his touch. He kept his hand on the inside and other side of the wall, just to memorize how it felt. Rei could defiantly feel the wall, but it was more of a jell consistency than anything else.

He squeezed onto Kylee's leg, using his hope and willpower to get her through the wall, too. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and stepped through the wall, Kylee in tow.

Kylee hid her face in Rei's hair while he walked through the wall in case something happened. Not that hair would or could protect her from...well...anything. But she felt it! She felt herself go through the wall, and looked up to see other people! She smiled and worked on adjusting her vision to see them as people rather than blurry colors. One part of one person wasn't colorful, but a metallic color. That person ran into the doorway, and Kylee jumped down from her brother's shoulders to help the color blob up, ignoring her brother's "Wait!" This person couldn't even walk through a door. How was...she, Kylee determined up close, going to hurt her?

Mavis remained on the floor. She put her hand on her shoulder where the impacted of the door frame hit the most. when rubbing her shoulder, she heard the sound of something landing on the floor near by, followed by a male's voice. Mavis had to turn her head directly to the right to actually see what was there. In the distance, a girl and a boy, stood looking at her, by the wall of the room. Mavis didn't recognize either of them being in the room before.

Mavis felt suspicious of the girl closes to her, but it's not like the boy behind her didn't give any suspicion as well. Then again, Mavis felt sketchy about everything in this freaky place. She has no idea how long they have been conscious to see her...incident. Fighting them off might be a bad idea considering her unknown disadvantage of her eye.

All Mavis felt capable to do was to scoot further back from them and give them a questioning look.

Alyss looked around as they entered the hall and left their room behind. The girl could have swore she saw figures on the other side of the large curtains blocking her and Cole off from the rest of the room, but she simply shrugged it off as Cole led her through a door on their side of the curtain.

Looking around she found a doorway somewhat ajar, and voices filtered out from there. She pushed Cole to get her brothers attention but the boy wasn't paying much attention. Growing aggravated she punched him in the back and was pleased when he turned back towards her.

"What? Why did you have to punch me so hard?" he complained rubbing the middle of his back.

Rolling her eyes Alyss gestured towards the door, mouthing words at her brother. "There's someone in there." she said, or more rather mouthed, to her brother.

As Paige sat on the bed, the pain slowly began to subside. Just then, two people, one a boy the other a girl, came into the room. Instead of coming into the room through a door, they entered the room by walking through the wall. "Am I still alseep?" Paige questioned herself, but the smallest sliver of pain still coursed through her bones, so she knew she wasn't dreaming. The girl, who had previously rammed herself into the door frame, scooted away from the new people.

As if three people blocking the path to the door way weren't enough, another group of two people entered the room; this time through the door. Like the other pair, this group also consisted of a boy and a girl, the boy offering his hand to the girl with the prosthetic arm. Paige decided to just watch from a distance, seeing that it would just be awkward to walk out at a time like this.

Mavis could feel many eyes burning holes into her, still unaware of another pair of eyes further in the room. Mavis was fazed on the floor until a boy, who looks slightly younger than herself, held out a hand wonder if she needed help.

I finally came to Mavis that because she's ran into the framing of the door and fell to the floor, she just looks like a pathetic little girl. Mavis still felt self conscious around these people, even if she does know a single one of them.

Mavis attempted to stand on her own but went unbalanced. Her reflexes ended up causing her to take the helpful hand to balance herself. When she finally got herself steady, she quickly jerked her hand from the other person. Sure she was grateful for the help, but she was ignoring her manners to say at least a thank you.

Cole only smiled as he helped the girl with the prosthetic arm. "Hello." he said beaming as he took in who else was in the room. Another girl, unnoticed earlier, seemed to have awoken-or rather became aware of their presence.

With a curt nod Cole stepped out of the doorway, turning to find his sister, but was genuinely surprised to find her missing. "Can't I turn my back on you for a few seconds to help someone before you wander off?" he muttered. Heaving a sigh he turned back to the door.

"Would any of you like to join me to find somewhere we can see other people and possibly food?"

Kylee watched as the colorful people interacted. Rei stepped protectively in front of her, but Kylee peeked out to see what was going on. The girl by the door had the same kind of texture as the boy helping up the cyborg girl, so she assumed the boy and girl by the door were siblings. There were other people in the room, but if they were related Kylee couldn't tell. The blur of colors still prevented her from getting a good look of people's faces, but she memorized their colors in case she would always see like this.

The girl mentioned food, so Kylee escaped from her brother to stand next to the girl. "Do you know where food is?" she asked with big eyes.

Rei took in the sight of other people as a cyborg scooted away only to be helped up by some guy. Around the room were hospital beds, some empty, most held sleeping people, and one had a girl who seemed to have just woken up. Everyone looked confused or in pain, or both.

"Do you know where food is?" The sound of Kylee's voice sent Rei dashing over to protect his sister from the girl promising food. This could all be one giant trap, and she could be the one who put us here. He set one hand on Kylee's shoulder, and stuck out his other hand with a fake smile on his face.

"I'm Rei" he said to the girl "and this is my little sister, Kylee."

From her spot in the back of the room, Paige heard the other people talking about food. At the thought of food, Paige's stomach rumbled in response; she hadn't noticed her immense hunger until now.

"Frosting.... Cake.... Pizza.... Or, wait. Do we have to hunt for food? How does everybody know that there's already food around here and we need to find it? Are they associated with this place? Is that how they know there's food? Whatever!" she thought to herself, getting up from the bed. Walking over to the door, Paige called over her her shoulder, "I'm going to find food! You can follow me if you want, I don't care!"

Walking out of the room, she turned to the right, seeing that both the left and right side of the hallways were identical. As Paige walked down the seemingly endless stretch of hallway, passing dark, closed rooms, she noticed that her bones no longer hurt. In fact, she felt as if she was walking a bit faster than she used to before.

Rei and Kylee watched the girl who had beed on the bed, barely awake, as she waltzed out the door, announcing she was going to find food with or without the rest of them.

"Welp, I know where I'm going" Rei started, "and like she said, you can follow if you want, but we're finding food." He picked up Kylee and carried her because he was unsure of how she might act in the face of food and/or danger.

Kylee thought this place was too surreal and spooky for anyone to go anywhere without everyone else, so over her brother's shoulder she motioned everyone else to follow, hoping to whatever god might be watching they followed along and didn't get lost.

As Nicole was being lead around by her lion, the intercom system came on and a monotone voice repeated a message.

"All experimentals report to the cafeteria for a video message. Follow the arrows if you don't know the way."

Once the intercom went off, lights on the floor began to blink in an arrow shape. Nicole couldn't see the lights but she could hear their buzzing and feel the heat from their power.

She continued on and the smell of food grew stronger. She wasn't as afraid and her tears had stopped but now her stomach was growling. She held her hand out and it brushed a wall. Then she turned and her hand brushed a doorframe and the food smell was really strong. "Let's get some food, Milo" Nicole murmured, not even realizing she'd given the lion a name.

Milo lead Nicole over to the serving area and she reached her hands out to feel. Nicole felt Styrofoam boxes and smelt different food from each one but there was others of the same food behind each box. She grabbed a box that smelt of chicken and fries. Nicole let Milo lead her to a table and smiled when she felt the wall form a corner. "Just what I wanted" Nicole stated as she sat in the corner and began to eat her food as best she could since she was now blind.

Victor noticed the blue light fade out and he stopped. Just when he started to turn back, a message came on the intercom. He stared up at the ceiling as he listened before glancing at the floor when it began to flash arrows. He shrugged his shoulders and followed them. "If it leads to food, then I won't argue" Victor thought aloud as his feet followed the flashing arrows.

Alyss looked around as the voice over the intercom called to announce where they could find the cafeteria. Perking up the girl followed the small lights embedded in the floor, falling into deep thoughts as she moved along.

Well at least I won't have to worry about introducing myself to other people, they probably will forget I exist after a while. And after all, what use is a girl who can't even speak to say what's wrong? she thought smiling as she looked around her for others, or any signal that she was closer to the cafeteria. With a small exhale of breath out of her nose, almost like a snort, she stopped and made sure she was following the arrows into the proper direction.

Lucia stirred awake at the sound of a voice being projected around the room. Her mind, still muddled with the haze of sleep didn't quite process that the room she was in wasn't her own. She nestled her face further into her pillows and called out a stream of almost impossible to understand words, "dadimtryingtosleepyoucanwatchtvlater..." upon receiving no witty response, she raised her head slightly, peering over the mound of sheets around her.

"Dad...?" As she absorbed her surroundings, she realized that she was no longer in the bed that she had fallen asleep in and her tired mind quickly calculated the worst case scenario.

Lucia had awoken in a room full of what appeared to be hospital beds and equipment and as she sat up further, she noticed an IV in her arm. "I must've been in a terrible accident," She thought, tears beginning to brim her eyes, "A fire or an attack by a burglar." The, she thought of her father. She had been alone in the house with her father as her mother was away on a business trip, where was he know. Did he bring her to the hospital? Or worse, was he hurt too?

With a flood of sickening images of her father injured and dying alone in some room, Lucia leaped from her bed, discarding the IV, and frantically began her search. With each passing moment, she became more upset and as her worry grew, so did a dull ache at the crown of her skull. She reached a doorway and flinging the door open she noticed some rather odd arrows blinking in the brightly lit corridor. Feeling at a loss for better options, she followed the arrows down the hallway. Tears blurring her vision, and confused and on the edge of hysteria, she entered a fragrant cafeteria full of other teenagers.

Kylee, after wolfing down her food, took a moment to once again try to clear her vision. She saw some faces more clearly, but the colors would never completely go away. Everyone had a different color, and some people, even though they had similar colors, had different textures. It confused young Kylee, but she knew who everyone was. And then a new color walked in the door.

Rei tried to savor his food, but it didn't taste good enough to savor, and it made the pain in his chest and stomace go away, so it was gone before anyone could blink. Now he wondered what would happen next.

Nicole could hear other people in the cafeteria and she grew anxious. Milo picked up on her agitation and growled while watching the people in the room. "Don't hurt them" she murmured before she continued to nibble on her chicken and fries.

Victor made it to the cafeteria and saw three people. He recognized one of them as the blue light from before. He was about to approach her but stopped when he noticed the lion by her side. He took a deep breath and decided to get food before he approached her.

Alixza woke up, blinking slowly. She glanced around, mildly confused as to where she was, then shrugged it off. It wasn't like she wasn't used to suddenly waking up in strange places, her life being what it was. 'Hmmm. I wonder if anyone else is here.' She thought to herself as she got up, a bit shaky and sore as she stumbled to the door and out to the hall.

Alyss stopped before she ran into a set of doors that stood before her. She had seen people go through these as she walked down the hall and judging by the scent of food wafting from the small cracks in the doors she figured it was the cafeteria. Cautiously opening the doors she was more than relived to see she was correct in her assumption.

She entered the place seeing two people she had seen briefly before already sitting down and eating, and off to the side, close to the back of the room, she saw another girl sitting down eating food with a lion beside her. Shaking her head in disbelief at the scene there, she turned to where she saw stacks of Styrofoam containers.

She quickly grabbed one before she set it down at the table with the two people who she could only assume as siblings with a questioning gesture to the free seat on the side opposite them.

As Paige was walking down the hallway, the loud speakers came on from the ceiling, instructing the experimentals to follow the arrows towards the cafeteria. "Experimentals?" she questioned to herself. "Eh, what ever gets me to the food!" Looking down at the floor, she followed the bright arrows as they lined the curve around the bend of the hallway.

Turning around a corner, Paige came across a set of double doors and by the aroma leaking out from the cracks in the doors, it was definitely the cafeteria. She couldn't see clearly through them because the tiny, square glass windows of the doors were frosted, blurring the shapes and colors. Stepping forward, Paige pushed through the cafeteria doors and looked around. She counted six people in the room, scattered about, and there was a large stack of styrofoam boxes on one side of the cafeteria. Seeing that the other people had styrofoam boxes and were eating out of them, Paige assumed that they contained the food. She quickly made her way over to the boxes and picked one up, feeling the warm of the food seep through the styrofoam. "Please be pizza, please be pizza," she prayed, opening the box.

Mavis saw as a boy stayed behind with her while the rest of the people walked out. They stood till the speakers came on and an unfamiliar voice spoke, "All experimentals report to the cafeteria for a video message. Follow the arrows if you don't know the way."

Pass the boy was the hall and brightly lit arrows were shown upon the floor. Mavis walked through the door held open and walked the path the arrows created, maybe the stranger will follow.

Speaking of the stranger, she wasn't sure how she felt about this boy. He was kind and everything but Mavis was skeptical. He might actually end up to be a good ally or a traitor to stab her in the back by the end. Mavis tells herself that she can't afford to let her guard down. These people are dangerous.

Cole beamed as the girl began to walk and quickly caught up with her. He matched her stride before observing around them at the arrows.

"I don't think we were ever formerly introduced when I helped you up. My name is Cole, may I get yours or is it something I must earn the trust of you to get?" he asked, only slightly joking at the last sentence. It was something his sister would do with people she met, so he wondered if this new girl would be like that in any aspect. Untrusting of giving out her name to new people or not.

As the kids were eating,a hologram of a woman appeared in the middle of the cafeteria. She smiled at everyone that was currently in the cafeteria eve though it looked a bit forced."I apologize for this interruption but I really need to get this speech underway. I know not all of you experimentals
are here but I need to get this underway."

As Nicole was nibbling on a piece of chicken, she heard a voice and she looked up in the voice's general location. She frowned as she listened to the voice. Nicole didn't like the way she said experimentals, it made shivers go down her back and not in a good way. She turned back to her chicken and tried to tune the lady out so she could calm her racing heart

Milo had been on edge ever since the hologram had appeared and Nicole freaking out beside him wasn't helping much either. He stood and growled at the hologram as he crouched down, ready to ponce.

Nicole sensed Milo's agitation and she reached her hand out and brushed her hand over his fur. "It's alight, boy" she murmured and she smiled when she heard Milo purr and then rub his big head against her side. Milo sat by Nicole's side as they waited for the hologram to continue.

Victor had just gotten his found and sat down when the hologram came up. He glared at the lady and grabbed a piece of chicken from his box and chucked it at the hologram. He smirked when he noticed the lady look over at him in angst and that the hologram had glitched for a split second.

"Victor Swanson, I never would have thought you would be the one to throw something at me" the lady stated as she put her hands on her hips.

Victor stood up and glared at the lady with so much anger that he felt it too. "Well you don't even know me so how would you know" Victor exclaimed as his hands fisted together at his sides.

"Don't do anything, you'll regret. Mr.Swanson" she said just as a red dot appeared on Victor's chest and she smirked when Victor froze.

"Is this a threat?" Victor asked as he looked down at his chest and then up at the lady with fear in his eyes.

"No, its a promise. Now do as you're told and you won't get hurt" she told him before turning away from him and faced the rest of the cafeteria. "I've changed my mind. I'll give the others a few more minutes" she stated before the hologram disappeared and Victor fell back into his seat.

Victor's heart was racing but he just thought happy thoughts and told himself it would be alright and eventually he calmed down. He looked up at the rest of the people in the cafeteria wondering if they were watching him.

Alixza had gotten to the cafeteria just at the end. She flopped down into a seat and started eating after she picked up her container, ignoring everyone else in the room. She decided she didn't really care if it was drugged or not.

Tearra slowly came to reality as a bright light broke through the darkness behind her eyelids, and as she lifted them, she was alarmed to see fire covering the blankets draped over her. She ignored the pain of moving her limbs as she frantically flipped out of the sheets and off of the bed, turning her head to see where the flames had originated--but the fire was gone. Bewildered, the girl glanced around the room to see she was in a hospital-like setup. Had her condition worsened? As she pondered the idea, however, she came to the realization that nothing hurt anymore. In fact, she felt better than ever. Just what was going on?

If this really was a hospital, Tearra needed to talk to a doctor immediately; she had a lot of questions. Turning to the door, she pulled it open, wincing a little at the brightness before heading into the empty hallway. There were glowing arrows on the floor, which she figured were there for a reason, so she followed them to a set of doors that let the scent of food creep out from below them. "Ah, must be the hospital cafeteria." she said to herself as she pulled one of the doors toward her to step inside. She was alarmed by the color of her own skin however, as she was used to an extremely light color, which appeared to now be a dark orange-brown hue. It wasn't the biggest of her worries, though, and she decided to write it off as possibly a condition she may have been brought to this hospital for--but the idea of this being a hospital was beginning to seem like an impossibility as she laid eyes on a large blue lion among other strange sights in this cafeteria.

Tearra had more questions than she could think of answers for, but judging by the ever-growing intensity of her stomach growling, she needed sustenance before she could do any kind of investigating, and panicking would get her nowhere. She approached the pile of foam containers at the other side of the room and picked one up, heading to a vacant table to eat and collect her thoughts. Though as she sat down, she noted that everyone here seemed to be uneasily waiting on others to enter the room, and the people staring made her feel anxious.
