Would you like the Welcome List to have more Goals?

So I've seen a lot of new users that have completed their list of goals, but still haven't learnt how to actually interact with other users.

For example, they will sometimes respond to other users via their wall, and many don't know what pinging is or does.

I think if we added a few goals such as:
Post on a Blog Entry
Send a PM (To a Mod or @Ian)
Ping Somebody on the Forums (Along With Explanations)
Post on another user's Wall

It would help them settle in a bit easier 😊

@leonx

Nice. I like this. Are you referring to the Getting Started page that new users see when they first register?

Those would be some great goals to add to that page. What are some other ways, in your opinion, that we could get new users more integrated into Egg Cave society? 😋

@Ian
I've seen some other adoptable sites that have had a small "reward" for every time you post on a forum, perhaps that might give them more incentive? 😱 And if there was a Welcome Message (Via a PM) that'd probably help put them on the right direction.

@leonx

That's a great idea too. I love the idea of a welcome PM.

@Ian
They were really helpful for me on some other sites ^^
They generally contained links to official forum topics, the rules/guidelines and different interactive areas of the site.

@leonx

Awesome. We've added a happy welcome message that appears in user's inboxes upon registering. 😊 I think that's a great start.
