I got the console and game about 3 weeks ago and am so far at level 31 and B rank. Haven't played against any level 50s yet, but the highest I've seen is about level 46 or so.

Which Splatfest team did you pick? I'm in the UK so we had Singing or Dancing, but if I was in NA I would've picked Decepticons, which is awesome because they ended up winning!

Team Singing for me! Became a Singing Queen too. Which was amazing, to not only make the highest rank but to also WIN my very first Splatfest, I had a lot of fun. 😃

I got ths game at Saturday, and I finished the story mode at Monday. I'm currently level 12 I think. Due to my time zones, I'm always playing with Japan. I'm on as MJ. Since I joined during the Splatfest season, I picked Autobobs (No really, thats what I called the Autobots) because I have no idea why. But I got free snails! I love using the Ninja Squid a lot.

Wow, you're quite quick to finish story mode 😊, I decided to play the online mode first, then once I reached around level 15 to finally complete story mode. You usually play with the Japanese? The Japanese I play with are usually level 40+ and are either extremely skilled or people trying to initiate squid parties. Also, Ninja Squid is a great ability, great for infiltrating enemy turf and especially useful in ranked, except for the fact that it cuts your swim speed. 😃

I use a sniper and the NZAP (red one) a lot because they're easy for me. I have one ninja squid and ninja jump stuff, and they're useful in ranked a lot, but not really much in turf wars. What I don't like about the Japanese players is that they go for the middle even when not in a ranked battle and leave their base uncovered, so I always do that...

I'm learning chargers still... They're so much fun to use IMO! 😃 I agree, but it does help keep jump killers away. True, but it isb't a bad strategy I would say, the first to get to the middle is usually abke to infiltrate and camp faster.

After reading that you've been using the chargers, I decided to try them out. Hadn't used them at all before (I'm more of a gun user, I main the Dual Squelcher normally) so at first I was TERRIBLE with them. But... I guess, the only way to get good is practice and patience! So I've been dedicating almost all of my turf war matches to using chargers, and they are SO MUCH FUN. They're difficult, sure, but the joy of getting a successful splat is so much better than using any other weapon. You just KNOW that the person you splatted is furious, and it's great. 😃

Can I send you a friend request? I only have one friend and it's some random person who randomly sent me one, so I'd like to add new people. My NNID is LizM17, just so it's not totally out of nowhere.

What's everyone choosing for the next splatfest? Ours is messy room vs tidy room (who comes up with the European ones?! They're awful!) and I picked messy because it's very accurate to my life.

For NA, it's Art vs Science, naturally, I would choose Art. 😃 But, that's just my choice. 😊 For Euro, I would choose Messy Room, because such as you, it's kind of similar (?) to my room, I guess? 😊

Of course you can add me! 😃 The more the merrier! I'm an A- player in ranked right now. I'm up to 89 points, so I could... maybe... reach rank A soon. It's a constant struggle of wins and losses, ALL the time. The fact you've managed to get to S+ is INCREDIBLE. 😃 You don't lose/gain rank points in squads, right?

I tend to just play a ton of turf war, because I don't have the greatest internet and the threat of losing rank from accidental disconnects really stops me playing it constantly. I love the chaos of it all, though. Winning a ranked match is a great feeling.

That's awesome! 😸 Art ended up taking the win after having percentages of 51%/51% on Art and 49%/49% on Science. Crazy, huh?

You should be able to, as long as you can take out the hordes of really good Japanese players. xD I swear that every single time that I get on any mode in Splatoon, the rooms are flooded with high-level, highly skilled Japanese people, especially in Ranked.

Getting to S+ required luck...and team carrying plus more luck...plus good teammates and my favorite Krak-On Splat Roller and Luna Blaster weapons. (-^. 😉 Thankfully, you don't. I think I would've given up on Ranked or thrown my Gamepad into orbit by now if squads didn't exist. I...uh...rage a lot while playing Splatoon, and I already lost my S+ rank once outside of squads. Took me an hour to reclaim it afterwards. (->.< 😉

That's unfortunate, but Turf War is really fun, too. 😃 It is. 😊

Have you seen all of the posts about Octoling hackers online? Careful if you see one of those guys in Turf War or Ranked. If you encounter one of them, do not go into the Plaza and instead join another room without one of them...I think that'll prevent the soft-lock problem. Figured I might as well mention that just in case you didn't know. Dx

I have seen the posts... I've even seen someone who's been reset after weeks of playing. ☹️ It's kind of sad, how the hack was first used to demonstrate the possibilities of playing with another race, but now it's used for... this. The original hacker, Nikki ( NWPlayer123 ), never intended it to go this far and because of this, s/he is being blamed although innocent. ☹️ And yes, thank you for mentioning that. I thought that the only way to prevent a soft-lock was to keep playing until they had left, but thanks again for telling me.

You're welcome D: Luckily, it seems like Nintendo's been catching some of the hackers by banning their consoles from online play since it was just reported. 😱 A few days after I posted that, I started feeling a bit skeptical about the whole thing since there wasn't any captured evidence to really support the whole hacker thing, but it ended up being true. ☹️ At least they're being caught and punished now, though. 😋

Did you go for cars or planes for this next Splatfest? I've never been on a plane before, so my vote ended up going to cars. 😸
