Does anyone know if you can play sims 3 on a laptop? It has windows 8, 4gb ram. that's all i know about it. I googled it but the answers vary a lot, so i'm unsure.

@madscienced So long as your laptop meets the minimum hardware requirements for running the game it should work. So find out the minimum hardware requirements and check those against whats in your laptop. I know you can look up your laptop's specs but I'm not sure where to find them in Windows 8.

@Orderedchaos Oh, okay. I didn't know if it was desktop only or not. 😊 It's a brand new laptop, so hopefully it'll meet the requirements.

@raccoon okay. 😊 Thanks! I'm only going to be having the bases game and maybe 2-3 expansion packs. 😊

@Orderedchaos Great! 😃 My sister just bought it for me today for a get well gift, and gave me the sims to go with it, so i would have been disappointed if it wouldn't play.

@madscienced
It is a possibility that your laptop will become slower after you've got more expansions. I had the sims 3 on a game PC. I downloaded all the expansions from a friend and it became slower every expansion. They should have fixed it with the sims 4 now 😊
