Why are LE eggs getting rarer?

I haven't had any luck at all with the cave lately.

ANY. LUCK. AT. ALL.

I got like at least 3 out of my 5 St. Patty's Day eggs using the OM, and today I tried to get a Jester egg. Usually I get at least one LE egg a day during the special events, but not this time.

I'm fairly sure other people are having this problem, too.

I want to know why.

I'm beginning to think it was a mistake coming back to Eggcave.

@ijilleh they are so much harder because there are so many more common eggs, and that's why Ian has stopped releasing common, all year round available cave eggs 😋 And subtracted 2 xD xD xD I've had no luck either, I have to sit around and hope that there is a nice person on EC who gets two and gives me one ☹️ xD

My memory might not be perfect on this, but it seems to me that during the first CRW there were about as many Cavies and it was still about three times as easy to get a LE.


Also, what's the point of the 10 limit? It doesn't really make things more fun, for me at least. :|

@ijilleh: Well w/o the 1o limit then whats the point of LE eggs?? Then everyone will probably get all cave creatures by now and then there wont be a thrill of getting the creatures you missed that is half the fun and wont it be less boring if you try everyday to get a creature you didnt get rather than just feeding and posting at the forums and blog?? Getting the creature you want rly is fun for me and its a way to find good friends here at eggcave 😸

The bad news is... when V2 will be fully implemented and the old eggcave will be gone... no more OM ☹️

im gonna be sad about it D: the bright colors in v2 BURNZ MEH EYES. i also like the user profiles in v1 better, so you can see all the eggs at once. im REALLY going to miis the OM.

complaining is my specialty ;P

I like the old version better too. The new layout's just too ... Web 2.0-y and bright. D: I like the forums though.

I like the new version TONS better, although I'm upset about the OM being gone, I think that's a silly thing for Ian to do and rarity of the LEs is gonna skyrocket.

@redfire77 SERIOUSLY!!! I realize that there are ultra-rare eggs that everyone wanted, but it's still annoying when a brand new cave LE gets put in the TC with something like "only for a macbot", or "Onny please?" I mean, who do they think they're kidding?

@plookle and @redfire77 atleast there are no jester lots for unreasonable offers😊 but i once saw a luckuar and shillias lot for a TENALP! a tenalp is maybe worth an ONNY! -__-

EDIT: also sometimes some cash shop eggs are put in the trade center for onnys or asteroid eggs or doovoos or macbots. THEY R PUT THERE WHEN THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE IN CSP!

@candy_girl_1298 lol yeah, tenalps are rare. Although I can't really remember what i traded for mine... I don't think it was anything majorly rare, only extra eggs from CRW, although they were CS I think. A tenalp isn't worth an Onny though, Onnys are rarer.

I agree that's a ridiculous offer though, I'm offering a Luvlei, Valgrun, Brohu, Nogar, and Shamrue just for a pareteorsite.
