@sheepfox@bot@ushafuse"I saw it too," I told Irwin. "Well, I HEARD it, but I think someone really is following us." We had no idea that the Eevee were following us, let alone... something else.
bot • 19 December 2015 at 11:17 AM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuseA sudden chill fell over the area. Irwin's flame stopped radiating comforting heat all of the sudden, as if he wasn't there at all. The atmosphere seemed to shift in an unsettling way."...I hope not." he said, a few sparks crackling out of the tiny embers on his head and tail.
548662 • 20 December 2015 at 3:06 AM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseI remembered Madame Charani's "beast of pure ice". I turned to Irwin. "Do you think..."
bot • 21 December 2015 at 6:11 PM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuseA low, dull sound reverberated through the cave entrance."We'll be fine. The chasm is right through here, we'll be in and out in a snap." he said, more boldly. His flame returned to it's normal size, and he walked ahead into the cave. Stairs led down to another opening to the low, foggy chasm.
548662 • 21 December 2015 at 10:35 PM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseI headed down the stairs. It was getting pretty darned cold down there. I felt something breathing behind me...
bot • 21 December 2015 at 10:48 PM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuse"Look. We've made it!" Irwin exclaimed, "We're bound to find one around here somewhere."
548662 • 21 December 2015 at 10:52 PM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuse"Great!" I agreed. "Let's search." I ignored whatever had been behind me and looked around.
bot • 21 December 2015 at 10:56 PM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuseIrwin looked around, but to no avail. The chasm seemed completely empty."We should probably go deeper." he pondered as he looked ahead. Fog obscured what lied ahead.
548662 • 21 December 2015 at 11:00 PM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuse"Okay, the important thing in a fog is that we have to stay together." I stated. "Wait, Irwin, where are you?! Irwin!"
bot • 22 December 2015 at 10:32 AM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuseIrwin's flame dimly permeated through the fog, enough for BC to know where he is."Oh, s-sorry." he said hesitantly, "I thought you could follow my flame... I'll try to stay closer to you."
548662 • 22 December 2015 at 10:28 PM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseI walked over to Irwin. "It's not your fault," I said. "I was too busy talking." I laughed. "We really do have to be careful, though. This place is like... a Mystery Dungeon."
bot • 23 December 2015 at 11:07 AM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuse"Mystery Dungeon!?" Irwin shuddered at the thought, "I haven't seen one of those in forever. T-they're not normally in Unova..."
548662 • 23 December 2015 at 10:56 PM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseI scratched my head. "Yeah... though sometimes they are. Remember Gates to Infinity?"
bot • 24 December 2015 at 12:52 PM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuseIrwin laughed sheepishly. "You're really breaking the fourth wall here..."
548662 • 24 December 2015 at 11:55 PM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseI laughed too. "Anyway, let's find that Ditto. Where do you think they could be?"
bot • 25 December 2015 at 10:18 PM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuse"I would assume that they would be in the deepest area in the chasm. They're failed clones of the Pokemon Mew, or so I've heard, so I wouldn't be surprised if they made themselves hard to find." he replied, his flame permeating through the thick fog. "It looks like we're pretty far in. Look! There's another cave entrance there. Do you think that we could find one if we went in?"Frigid mist emanated from the cave's mouth, lowering the surrounding area by a few degrees. Irwin's flame kept it warm, but it was still noticeably frigid.
548662 • 26 December 2015 at 1:43 AM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseThe cave looked unpleasant. "If they're in there, they've sure succeeded in making themselves hard to find," I muttered. "Let's go in. You're right - they're probably in there."
bot • 26 December 2015 at 5:28 PM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuse"It's cold, but I can probably keep you warm. I've always kind of loathed being a fire-type Pokemon, but I guess it's nice in situations like these." he laughed, shoving his glasses up on his nose. "Let's head in."The inside of the cavern was frigid and the ground was heavily frosted. An unsettling crunch reverberated through the huge, airy cave every time they took a step. A moat of clear, icy water surrounded the path ahead, and before them was an entrance to another room in the cave."There will probably be one in there. They're very timid creatures, so I'd assume they would make themselves tough to find..." he muttered to himself. "Still, I can't help but wonder why it's so unseasonably cold in here. Hm..."
548662 • 27 December 2015 at 2:03 AM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseI glimpse something moving behind blurry rocks and lurch clumsily toward it. It looked too pale to be a Ditto, but I wanted to make sure. And anyway, a Ditto can change shape, so it might've turned into a common Pokémon as soon as it saw us.
bot • 27 December 2015 at 8:45 PM
@sheepfox@548662@ushafuseUpon closer examination, it was a rather large snowflake fluttering to the ground. Irwin looked confused."It can't be, snow inside a closed space?" he said, puzzled, "That's... Not possible. This cave is huge, but not big enough to form an entire meteorological complex..." He stood baffled, his flame large and curious-looking. More snowflakes shifted into view as he observed the cave.Irwin adjusted his glasses. "Am I seeing things..?"Suddenly, the entire cave went dark. The temperature dropped a few degrees, and two glowing yellow eyes permeated through the darkness.
548662 • 27 December 2015 at 10:17 PM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuseI refrained myself from uttering a scream that could be confused with Supersonic. Instead, I whispered to Irwin: "That's definitely an Ice-type; it accounts for the phenomena in the cave. Let's see if it's a dual-type then plan the best strategy for attack."
bot • 28 December 2015 at 8:43 PM
@sheepfox@548662Irwin's flames dimly lit the surrounding area, and a Kyurem came into view. It made a horrible sound, like nails on a chalkboard. Small but sharp teeth lined it's frigid mouth. An Ice Beam suddenly shot out of it's gaping mouth and hit Irwin with shocking power. Even though he was a Fire/Fighting type and it wasn't very effective, due to his lack of battling skill he immediately dropped to the ground. His fire almost extinguished, he rose to his feet and used Blaze Kick, sailing through the air and delivering a fiery punishment. It was thrusted back with extreme force and hissed at him savagely, and used Dragon Claw on Irwin in midair directly after he delivered the attack. The attack slammed into him and he slammed into the frozen earth.
548662 • 29 December 2015 at 12:15 AM
@sheepfox@bot@ushafuse"IRWIN!" I screamed. I stuffed him behind a rock and turned to face the Kyurem. I was terrified because it was a Legendary - a God. "We come in peace," I whispered desperately. A glimmer of purple caught my eye. Huh? Anyway, my attacks would be weak against a Dragon-type. I thought quickly and decided to use Iron Tail if it tried to attack again.
bot • 29 December 2015 at 3:57 PM
@sheepfox@548662Irwin's flame was extinguished entirely, so the cave was black as night. Kyruem's eyes dimly illuminated the area, but it wasn't much. It hissed hesitantly at BC, pondering whether or not it should spare her. It decided not to.With one of it's feet on Irwin's shallowly breathing body, it roared horribly and lunged at BC with its icy wings outstretched, propelling itself off of him and nearly crushing him. It charged up a Glaciation attack in midair, a ball of freezing light building up in it's mouth. Now was the time for BC to counterattack, or be frozen in place forever.
548662 • 29 December 2015 at 9:46 PM
@bot you know what? im not gonna ping them anymoreI stiffened my tail in preparation for Iron Tail. Using it as a bat, I whacked the Glaciation attack away, but in doing so part of my tail hardened. I couldn't feel the cold because I was using Iron Tail, but right now I didn't care. I leaped up high and hit the Kyurem in the face with my frozen tail.
bot • 30 December 2015 at 5:55 PM
@548662 I probably won't either. Sheepfox will see the old notifications when they return anyway, so it's kind of pointless.--Irwin's breathing was shallow and quick as he struggled to stay conscious. Pain exploded inside of his ribcage, but he couldn't scream in fear of puncturing his lungs. He tried his best to keep his tail flame burning so BC could see.The Kyurem landed gently to the ground, astonished. Frost crunched under it's claws as it stepped backward, pondering which attack to use.(OOC: you can control the Kyurem if you want!)
548662 • 31 December 2015 at 1:30 AM
@bot okI looked back. Irwin was alive! That was good. The Kyurem decided to use Outrage. Unfortunately, it caused the ceiling of the cave to crack, and pieces of ice rained down. Trapped under a huge icicle, I couldn't do much. I hoped Irwin was okay.
bot • 31 December 2015 at 10:52 AM
@548662 Irwin wanted to force himself back up, but couldn't. He was too weak from little battle experience and from his injuries. He cursed himself under his breath for not listening to Madame Charani's advice. The Kyurem was crushed by a piece of falling ice, but shook it off easily. A part of it's wing was cracked.
548662 • 31 December 2015 at 11:18 PM
@bot I struggled with the icicle, losing strength. I considered using an Electric move to get it off, but that could trigger more ice and crush Irwin. I squirmed and the icicle slowly rolled off me. I saw the crack in the Kyurem's wing. I leaped onto its wing and chiseled my still-hard tail into the crack. The good news was it seemed to hinder the Kyurem; the bad news was that I was stuck. Again.
bot • 1 January 2016 at 4:35 PM
@548662 The Kyurem hissed and shook it's body aimlessly, attempting to fling BC off. Her tail remained lodged into it's wing, it's iron-hard edges digging into its wing. It used outrage, stomping about furiously and thrashed into a wall.It stumbled backwards, swinging its tail near Irwin and knocking the rubble off of him. He struggled to his feet and used Fire Punch on it, mustering all of his courage and strength into his attack.
