I wanted to bring this one back from 2014. When I saw the Leafly, it reminded me a lot of my own... so i wanted to give this one a try again and change the description to make it better ❤️ people who know the story will know where my inspiration came from 😊 lol

About the egg:
The surface of the egg is as smooth as satin and shimmers faintly in the light, giving the impression of being sprinkled with some sort of fairy dust... The gems that decorate the surface of the egg change color with the creature's emotions and regulate the inside temperature to keep it happy and alive, clear for happiness, red for its normal contentment, or black if its unsatisfied. To keep the egg happy, keep it in a dark place lit only enough to see by due to the egg's surface being thin enough to been seen through from the inside. Bright, harsh lights will hurt the developing creature's sensitive eyes. The egg glows a dark, midnight blue in pure darkness and produces rainbow colored smoke when it's near hatching. These eggs are very hard to find since they are normally hidden inside and under large trees, where sunlight cannot touch it during the daytime.

About Morpheos:
Morpheos are very large moths, the largest of them all, easily dwarfing the smaller Leafly. The gems on its body still broadcast its emotions like they did on the egg, but being full grown they sparkle through an array of colors, but normally they'll stay its natural red, the color of its contentment. When they are caterpillars they blow colorful, sweet smoke when they're happy, different colors with scents ranging from bubblegum to licorice. When they enter their cocoons, the soft white webbing produces small red gems similar to the ones on their wings, and these gems will only change color when the creature is close to emerging. Morpheos live off of glowing mosses, lichens, and mushrooms all through their lives. Although the creatures are very solitary, they seem to get along just fine with Faymanitas and all Fairies.

A shame, I think like it was said before, bugs aren't very popular on here, haha. But this is a really nice creature. A shame to hear that other (similar) bugs have been released before it, yeesh.

Well, I look forward to it being made a creature! Love the detailed description, it totally won me over. I wouldn't mind having a pet insect that breathed nice smelling and pretty looking smoke, as well as made it easier for me to understand how they're feeling. I just hope the gems aren't so heavy that they make it difficult for the Morpheo to fly (which I doubt of course). I do appreciate it being large enough for me to see and avoid harming!

@dragonnn
I do wish they were more popular as well. I think there are only two other creatures who have a chrysalis/cocoon stage that i've seen (there are a lot of creatures to look through after all lol). The Leafly with the blue coloring and glow really made me want to try this one, with this one being more realistic looking instead of the cute look that I loved with the Leafly.

I hope I can get this one chosen too, I'm not sure if any user has ever had two creature suggestions chosen -if the Peatrance became a creature- but I'd love to try 😊 And the gems on the wings are as light as a rhinestone would be, they're only heavier on the cocoon and hang from the web-like strands on the outside. Kinda like crystals hanging on a chandelier. Since they're big moths their wings would be stronger, and with them being a little magical their wings would be able to hold up those heavier gems without damaging them.

@ami_utsukushii

Ah, I see. Thank you for explaining! And I'm almost forgetting magic exists in Ark and effects the creatures that exist there, as in, magical creatures are born in a magical world. Also yes, only one other creature besides the Leafly comes to my mind right now regarding cocoons.

I know there are several users who had more than one suggestion of theirs made. Lemme check for certain, out of curiosity...(not counting descriptions):

And more I'm sure, I'm just too tired now 😋 bah

I might be missing those who changed accounts over time.

@dragrawr
Well it's not supposed to be a cartoonish/animated styled creature, and depending on who would draw it, it could be improved. Depending on whether you're referring to the drawing or description.
