Valerie flinched as he felt the frigid touch of Rylan's paw. Her fur was icy and sharp, but he didn't want to seem indignant. He smiled painfully as he hesitantly drew his paw back.

"It's nice to be able to... Break the ice with you." he sneered, chuckling at his own terrible joke.

Erin's grin remained on her face. That was a good one. She chuckled again, inwardly.

It was looking to be a great start to this year's first day of school. Already, the school was coming into view as the bus rolled up to the entrance.

"Thank you!" Erin waved to the bus driver as she hopped onto the sidewalk. Ah, we finally made it! She stood before the front doors of the school, taking it all in.
Seeing the other students exit the bus and fill up the space between the parked vehicle and the school entrance, including the Sylveon who had been left behind earlier, Erin decided to take the first step into the school.

I hope that Sylveon isn't too upset that we didn't go back for her...Glad she made it though.

Shrugging to herself, Erin opened the door and entered the school, only to find -

jay ran through the school doors, to find an enormous space. it was almost as buig as a mall. there was a small sign saying 'welcome!' he shrugged and followed the schedule he got at registration to his advisory class. he was the first one there, other than the teacher, putting his stuff down at a desk in the back of the classroom.

Lune walked in and saw Jay. She didn't appear to look very excited. She quietly and curtly turned around and just walked to her class. When she realized she would be in the same class as Jay, she groaned silently.

jay had some of the better hearing of the jolteons, hearing a faint groan, and a bored looking sylveon at the door. wait a minute, that was the sylveon that missed the bus.

Lune noticed that Jay was looking at her and just rolled her eyes in irritation. She faced the window next to her and tapped her paw on her desk for a minute before unpacking her bag.

As Valerie trotted off of the bus, he saw a Vaporeon (not Amanda) rearranging the letters on the sign to say something rude. He rolled his eyes and strode confidently into the large, glassy doors of the school.

jay got bored of flappy bird and started watching youtube.

rylan walked into her advisory class with jay and the sylveon they all saw earlier. she started chewing gum, and put on her cap. then she dropped her binder, books and all that other stuff you need for school on the desk, then she sat down. when she sat down, she started playing on her phone.

-well, she saw nothing of the school yet, as she turned to see the other students quickly making their way into the school building. Stepping aside to avoid being trampled, Erin watched as the other eeveelution students dispersed throughout the school. She finally got a look at the spacious area, and was pleased to see everything was clean and orderly. For now.

Reaching for her own schedule, Erin bumped her elbows with a Vaporeon behind her, the one messing with the once neat "Welcome!" sign near the entrance.

Not wanting to be the last student to walk into her advisory class, Erin settled for giving the Vaporeon a stern frown and then made her way to homeroom.

Erin entered the classroom and spotted her new homeroom teacher for the semester, a Leafeon with slightly browning leaves upon his body. He greeted Erin warmly, and she looked around at the assembled students as she took a seat at the front of the class. That's right, I didn't ask those other 'vees back on the bus what grade they're in this year. I guess a good number of them aren't seniors. Oh well. Maybe I'll see them later.

She folded up her schedule neatly and put it away for later as she waited patiently for her teacher to address the class.

Amanda, Emily, and Cynthia were late for school. Cynthia was the most freaked out in her mind about this, but Emily was always late so she didn't care. Amanda... Well we don't know about her. But they all rushed to school 'cause their parents were going to kill them if they don't go to school....
Cynthia wasn't willing to meet others or leaving them. Emily was slouching everywhere with a eerie face. Amanda she was already making friends.

Valerie sat down in the middle row of the advisory class. He spread his books neatly on the desk and began reading a thick-looking novel. The Vaporeon sat down next to him.

The Vaporeon was wearing a white and grey flannel, a navy and white striped beanie hat and black, slightly torn jeans. He pulled one earbud out and leaned over to Valerie.

"Hey, man. What book are you readin'? Looks neat." he said, "I'm Caspian, by the way."

Valerie stiffened his back and showed Caspian the cover of his book. Large text on the worn cover of the book read Biology of the Fairy-Type: Your Guide to a Newly Discovered Pokémon Type. Caspian nodded nonchalantly and put his earbud back in after he realized that Valerie clearly wasn't a great conversationalist.

jay looked up from his phone as well.

jay:

"nothin' much. how 'bout you?"

rylan:

"same. there 're so many topics that they shouldnt even teach at school. they just teach those things as time fillers."

jay:

"i strongly agree."

rylan:

"well anyways, check out this picture that me and my friends took this summer."

rylan went to the picture on her phone and showed jay. it was a selfie with bubbles floating around in the background.

Suddenly, a short, thickly built Leafeon lady shambled up to the front of the class, clad head-to-toe in scarves and sweaters. A pair of thick, glassy spectacles rested on her snout. A tiny bell fastened to her bag jingled as she walked.

"Good morning, class!" she said with a sugary smile plastered on her plump old face. Her leafy ears perked up as she spoke. "As you know, I'm Mrs. Hadley, your counselor. I'm in charge of Advisory today."

Everyone in the room was familiar with Mrs. Hadley, and most were quite fond of her. She was a kind old Leafeon without a single mean bone in her body. The class fell silent, as no one wanted to make her upset by talking too much.

"Class." The teacher spoke to the group of seniors, who were eager to start their first day, but at the same time ready to finally graduate from secondary school. The older Leafeon smiled at his new students, pleased at the experienced expressions they wore. "For those who do not know me, I am Mr. Zelest, one of the school's Battle Instructors. Some of you may be taking my class on defensive battling this semester. I look forward to training with you there, as well as monitoring your growth throughout the semester as you homeroom teacher. I hope you will feel confident enough to see me as another one of this institution's resources that will help guide you to even brighter, fuller lives. Now, if you'll all look at your schedules..."

Erin smiled at Mr. Zelest's inspiring words, and proceeded to do as instructed. Hey, I've got class with Mr. Zelest next period! Great! I hope he can help me with my Moonlight, it needs some work...

"Any more questions? No? Then until next we meet." With a parting smile, the teacher gathered his things and trotted off to his Defensive Battling class. Erin snatched up her schedule and followed after him into the hallway.

"Mr. Zelest! May I tag along? I'm in your class this period and I don't think I've ever been to this classroom before."

"Sure thing." Zelest turned to Erin with the same smile as they walked. "And could you remind me what your name is again?"

"It's Erin."

"Erin. Good. I'll do my best to remember it. So, you've been attending this school since you were a Freshman and never once did you enroll in one of my classes?" Zelest asked teasingly.

Erin grinned. It's not like I didn't want to take your classes, I just thought I'd learn the basics of attacking first."

Mr. Zelest grinned even wider. "Hmm. I'll show you pups just how important defensive strategies are in battle. You're gonna wish you took my classes first."

"And why is that?"

"Because they're so cool!" Zelest chuckled. "You're an Umbreon, you're supposed to know defensive techniques better than some of the other 'vees."

Erin looked at her new teacher in mild shock. "Really?"

"Yes..."
