@sakura-ironoyume @pitch1226 @featherstar_stormclan @thebrokenvibeJade had a lot of fear inside her. She couldn't decide whether to go or not. She then walked to the gardens, awaiting for her name... Hopefully.Alright, Jade, keep your calm. Let's hope you get a dragon egg... Her thoughts were in a jumble as she waited.

Once the dragon's seen you get inside the antechamber." She was saying."The King and Queen will call you up once the last ward has been seen." She added glancing over at Alyss seeing her as the only ward in the room right now. "Such small numbers this year." she whispered under her breath after a moment.

@featherstar_stormclan @nightmaremoon12 @sakura-ironoyume @pitch1226 Danyon inhaled sharply as he walked down the hall towards the door that would allow him to enter the garden and join the other Wards. He slowed his pace as he approached the door then took another deep gulp of air and placed his hand on the door, pushing it open. He squinted at the sunlight and walked around for a moment, it took a few minutes but he found the other Wards after moving through the labyrinth of bushes. "Sorry, I got lost..." He said quietly with a nervous smile, rubbing the back ofhis neck, shifting from his left foot to his right.

@vanley @nightmaremoon12 @sakura-ironoyume @pitch1226 Alyss stood up and wandered around the room she was in. It shouldn't be too long until more wards came in. They had to show up soon. If not that meant that only three would be chosen by the Great Dragon. Including her.And with the small numbers chosen that meant that fewer protectors of the Kingdom. Unless of course these dragons were of powerful elements. But the chances of all of them being so were few and far in between.And so she waited, watching the Dragon judge the last Ward and approve of him. She breathed with relief. At least there would be four of them.

He would meet with the King and Queen, then with The Great Dragon and then it will be decided if he would get an egg or not. He puffed his chest out slghtly as he entered the room, he only noticed one person in there. Alyss, he thought that was her name. They'd never really spoken before but it was often nessesary to learn the other wards names. He approached her, noting that he was taller than her (Her fourm didn't really say how tall she was but he's '6"1 so I assume he's taller.). He paused for a moment, a few feet away. "So... Uh, hey. How's it going?" He asked awkwardly. His voice slightly echoing in the empty room.

She smiled briefly at the man who spoke to her, they were about the same height she realized. Although she stood an inch or two taller.She looked up as a loud gong sounded through the Throne Room and the King and Queen entered. Following them were ten servants carrying large eggs of varying colors on pillows. Placing the pillows on a table before stepping back."Greetings Wards, it is by ordinance of the Great Dragon Gavarenth that we are allowed to bestowe her tribe young to a generation of youth such as yourself. Before you are ten eggs, each one contains a specific dragon of an element. As per tradition, the eggs are to call to you to pick. And when the dragon is selected hatch and the two of you will be bonded." With the ceremony of the approval out of the way we will call forth the chosen by name. Abnes please step forward and pick your egg."

The King called out as Abnes stepped away.The taller girl stepped forth nervously, feeling agitation roll off one of the eggs in waves. She turned to that one, seeing a strange ashen gray egg that pulsed with hidden power. Her agitation and nervousness flipped to comfort and resolve as she stepped forwards, and she noticed as she did so the eggs waves changed with her.That's what the link means. An emotional and mental connection. she thought as she wrapped her hands around the smooth egg feeling a small shock rip through her arms and hands.Taking her place again she saw miniscule cracks begin to branch off of her eggs shell. And she looked to Abnes to see if the other girl's would do the same."Danyon step forth and claim your dragon." The King announced.

Danyon took a deep breath and walked forward, looking at the eggs before him. His eyes grazed over each one and stopped on a tan one, almost like a giant round stone. He walked over to it and noticed it was different shades of tan and if you look closely you could see that there was small pebblles that created the shell. He carefully placed his hands on it, a shock caused him to recoil. Danyon once again placed his hands on the egg, lifting it carefully and walked back over to stand among the others. He looked down at his egg and noticed some of the pebbles where falling off and had turned to dust before hitting the ground.

Her own egg had already lost chunks of shell, and through it she could see small glimpses of scaly skin. As well as an eye, closed but able to be deciphered."Griffin, step forth and receive your dragon."

When he opened them, he looked at an egg that was pure black. It had bones sticking out and it seemed to be coated in shadows. A wave of emotion crashed over him. He reach out and pick the egg up. It felt like skin, and fleshy. He carried it back to where he first stood. Griffin noticed shadows fall off the egg and onto the ground like ink. Then it started to seep into the ground and disappear.

It felt slimy, but it was just hatched so she kind of expected that. She was now able to get a better look at it, and she watched as it's jaws opened in a yawn and she could see the beginnings of little white teeth, jagged and lining the jaw."Jade, please come and take your egg." The King said, and Alyss realized she had missed Griffin's choosing of his own egg.

"Ouch," she hissed, glaring at the small creature.He looked up at her with shockingly yellow eyes and almost seemed remorseful at causing her pain."Wards, it is time to name your dragon and have their elements tested. Once they have hatched please move to the other side of the room." The King was now announcing, gesturing over to an open space filled with seats and small baskets before each one.Alyss, holding her dragon closely shuffled past those still with their eggs as she made her way to her spot. Taking the nearest seat and placing her dragon in the basket. Which it quickly took a liking too, burrowing into the cushion laid in the bottom.

Danyon stared at his egg, sand and small bits of rock poured from it when there was a big enough hole and he felt something move against his hand. He watched as the rest of the shell fell off and revealed a white dragon. His face contorted into a confused state. A white dragon from a tan egg, that was odd. The small creature lifted it's head and opened its large purple eyes that met Danyon's. There was a silent agreement between the two. Their bond would last a lifetime and beyond. He noticed something hanging from the dragons neck and reached out to touch it but she hissed so he pulled his hand back. Upon closer inspection he seen six rubies that wewere stuck onto a thick silver necklace. He walked over to the other side of the room and sat next to Alyss, placing the small white dragon into the basket that sat in front of him. She snuggled into it and let out a satisfied chirping sound.

The thing seemed to have doubled in size since she put it down, although it could have just been the size of the basket compared to him."You know, they're supposed to reach adolescent stage relatively quickly from hatching if they're bonded to a human." She said offhandedly, putting her hand in the basket by her dragon and watching him bump into her hand with a gentle trill.

@thebrokenvibe @vanley @pitch1226Abnes carefully placed her egg into her bag. After a while, her egg began to glow. She took it out and a purple dragon emerged as the shell of the egg cracked and fell off. It looked at Abnes rather solemnly.

She loomed down at her dragon with a gently solemn gaze.Well at least I did right in choosing you. she thought smiling down at her new companion.

@sakura-ironoyume @thebrokenvibe @pitch1226 @featherstar_stormclanJade's egg began to hatch and had a dragon that felt cold around. It looks like ice has been bounded to the creature, and spikes that feel cold to the touch. It chirped to Jade, as she smiled in response.

She smiled as she spotted the creature in the girl's hands.She glanced down at her own dragon, watching as he dozed off in the basket. His wings folding over him like a blanket.

Danyon watched as shadows that fell from the egg formed a dark dragon. Interesting. Well, so was the fact that he now had a Dragon. He looked down at his Dragon, she had her wings were spread out and she was letting them hang off the edge of the basket. Her legs where stretched out so they where pushing against the side of the it and she was snoring softly. It looked almost like gold sparkles came from her nose.

Except for the girl who had tried to leave with her egg.She scowled as she watched a set of guards follow after her on the King's orders. She shook her head briefly before she scooped her basket up into her lap allowing her to be close at hand with her dragon.

Danyon leaned forward and reached down, petting his Dragon. The dragon made a purring sound as she pushed her head against his hand. He smiled at her actions and he continued to ruin his hand over her scales, they felt like smooth stones, like the ones you find in a river or creek. He pulled away and she stretched out her wings, the skin looked almost see through, he watched as she yawned and showed off her small pointy teeth. He looked over at Alyss. "So, do you have any idea what your going to call your Dragon?" He asked, attempting to break the silence between the two.@thebrokenvibe / @featherstar_stormclan
