Site Lag - started 3/14/16

Since Monday evening I have been experiencing terrible site lag. Each page is taking longer than it should to load. Feeding is very difficult and is taking twice as long as it normally does.

One of my friends is also having the same problem.

Anyone else having issues?

Same here. There have been a few spots where it seems to clear up but after a while it comes right back in full force. Really annoying.

Hey guys. This has been an ongoing issue.

A little update on the roadmap to this... soon, I'm going to begin a ground up recode of Egg Cave that's going to use a language and framework that's going to make the site exponentially faster simply on the basis that it's newer technology and better code.

In the mean time, we're trying to patch lag issues as they come up, but right now it feels like patching holes in a breaking dam.

Rest assured that your data and eggs are always safe, though! 😊

Ummm... possible redesign? Yes... but I can't say much more than that or indicate the timeline on this.
